The funniest thing in my notes were my friend’s sleep deprived comments about how scary it would be to be sleeping next to a lamp. This conversation started because we put a hat on a lamp and called it Abraham Lampcoln and ended when it devolved into an argument about if the Sun is a lamp

I went to like it and it went from 4.9k to 5k I feel like I am all powerful

I don’t know if I’m just really stupid, but I actually really like most of those notes. I’ve watched this video A BUNCH of times already and every time I’m out here arguing with drew because he goes “this sucks” to something and I go “no, it doesn’t, that’s hilarious” and I laugh every time

It’s 2022 and I still crack up at “Weed is supposed to relax you but it turns me into”

I love how the high brain will stress how important a joke is in the moment without adding enough detail to understand it later

i am an aspiring novelist, entertainer of different feather, and i find it interesting the way he talks about his attempts at writing a novel. Some of the creative struggles he mentions here, they resonate, but the only so far as what isnt medium-specific. i.e. having to wait perhaps years while constructing a manuscript before receiving critical feedback is excellent because then I dont have to perform as The Artist

@@jobbytop "I plead the fifth!" is a common thing said in relation to the fifth amendment, referring to the right to remain silent. Police officers in America have to recite it during an arrest, and it's fairly well known cause of TV shows and the like. Beethoven's fifth is a symphony written by Ludwig Van Beethoven, a very very famous musical legend of the early 1800s. The joke is a pun, combining the two phrases into a malaphor, an error of two similar phrases of speech being combined to create a nonsensical phrase. Examples would be "it's not rocket surgery!" and "We'll burn that bridge when we get to it." Basically it's a pun based on classical music history and the common knowledge of an American amendment thanks to television.

I just would like to say I've watched this video at least 15 times. Nearly every time I watch this video the YMCA joke and then the grandpa bit afterwards never fails to make me laugh. I know Drew doesn't think they're funny, but they can definitely always cheer me up.
