My uncle is a drag racer and had a motor in his car for 4 1/1 years then put brand new rods in bc they were getting too old and boom 2 runs with them rods through the oil pan then rebuilt it a bit later and put the old rods back in and they lasted another 2 years and they are designed to be replaced after 250 runs and they lasted 300+ we where playing with fire bc we needed to do bearings stripped and found out 4/8 were bent😅😅
