Tesla export EV to Europe, New Zealand, Australia from Shanghai factory, why Musk need to build factory in India at all for India market that doesn't have enough population to afford Tesla cars?

His technology especially pertaining to tesla cars and space has always been open source. China has the stable basic technological threshold and skillsets to fast track open source technology. They are less profit margin enthusiasts who pick up technology for adaptive innovation. India is still building it's baseline technological foundation and probably, Elon wants to do much more, faster and also beneficial to US - China interest.

Let straight to the point ! Impossible for India to set E.V car plant in India, once country short of electricity, forget about to manufactures E.V because India totally unable to set charge station. This is very expensive business.

It shows china is still the next 🇨🇳

Don't forget that more than 2600 foreign companies have already left Indian market since 2014. So India can't fool foreign companies anymore by its nonsense soft power strategy. Tesla will be reducing production at its gigafactory in Shanghai in compliance with Yellen's demand to curb "overcapacity" 😅

In the long run, I am very optimistic about India. After all, India does not even have good roads, and the maintenance rate of cars will be extremely high. This is an opportunity for car manufacturers.
