Why Dhaka (Bangladesh) is More Modern Than You Think 🇧🇩
In this video I show why Dhaka, Bangladesh is probably more modern than you think. I start by taking a ride on the new Dhaka Metro Rail, before wandering around Gulshan.

I'm Jason, a full-time British Travel Vlogger and KZreadr who's been to 61 countries. I've been travelling around the world full-time since 2017.
I have travel series' from many of the world's best (and least) known destinations. I filmed the first vlogs on my channel in the summer of 2016 after spending a year living in China. A proper solo trip around Eastern Europe followed after graduating from University in the summer of 2017, taking me to Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Kosovo. This marked the start of my efforts to turn vlogging into a full-time job.
After that European trip I explored much of Asia: visiting India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Pakistan, the Philippines, South Korea and Kazakhstan.
I have also travelled to North Africa and the Middle East fairly extensively over the last five years, filming videos in Turkey, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Israel and Palestine.
I've travelled to North America just once as a KZreadr, visiting Mexico in 2021. Though I have been to both the USA and Canada, this was as a child on family holidays.
In 2022, I took my first trip to Sub Saharan Africa, visiting Kenya and Tanzania, before heading to the Middle East, stopping in Dubai and Lebanon. Europe followed, covering both the Greek and Turkish sides of Cyprus, and afterwards going back to Italy for the second time to cover Milan and Sicily. I then visited the Caribbean for the first time, covering the Dominican Republic, before heading to both Brussels and Amsterdam, then covering Taiwan and the Philippines in Asia. I finished off the year with a trip around Morocco.
I started my travels in 2023 by finally visiting Paris, taking the Eurostar from London. I then headed over to Qatar for a few days, before heading to Asia, with videos following from India, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, Mongolia, Thailand and Sumatra (Indonesia).

im inviting you for coming Bangladesh. love from Bangladesh
When foreign vloggers came to Bangladesh few years before, they used to make a wrong impression of Bangladesh by just showcasing places like old Dhaka and Karwan Bazar, which are chaotic and dirty. Although nowadays that tendency has changed and the vloggers are exploring the modern Dhaka as well. But still few vloggers go out of the city and explore the raw beauty of Bangladesh. You came to visit Bangladesh in 2018 when very few vloggers used to come to Bangladesh. You did a tremendous job by showcasing the colourful urban culture of Dhaka as well as exploring the natural and rural beauty of Bangladesh. I would love to see you exploring Rajshahi city, located to the western part of Bangladesh, on the bank of Padma river. I am sure you will be impressed to see the well decorated and tidy Rajshahi city. Greetings from Khulna city✨

Consider uploading longer videos, Jason. Nice to see you back in 🇧🇩
Thanks Jason, Chester lad here! 😊 Thanks for taking on board my suggestion of the metro from my first ever comment on your first Bangladesh video of 2024, if not I'm sure I was one of several who suggested it, but I'll willingly take the credit lol! 🤣 I too travelled to Agargaon but from the opposite side of the line, Uttara North so I went down the same steps as you! Unfortunately that's where the metro terminated back in December so earlier this month the full line was opened on a full time basis. I'm glad you showed that the country is developing as a contrast because many people think of Bangladesh rife in poverty. I must say you can now get a decent barista coffee over as no doubt you've enjoyed, prices are almost on par (but a touch cheaper) with the UK / Ireland taking into consideration the exchange rate, but once you head into rural areas you'll have to contend with sachets of Necafé's "finest" instant, but after all it is a tea country as you know from your Sreemangal visit! By the way this is my Dhaka metro vlog if you have a spare few minutes to hand to watch & compare notes (1st of two covering it as the 2nd has the return journey 2 days later): kzread.info/dash/bejne/n5qEt7uwnbCan9o.html I hope this comment doesn't get lost in the thousands which you have to contend with! I'm not sure if you caught my comment on your last video. Have an amazing week my friend & I look forward to the next instalment 🤗
