    Ray please talk with Engin or whoever is responsible, the sound was a disaster most of the event, sound got muted when the stats were showed, and for half the event we could only hear Travis commentating because the level on you / Neil was too low. it is just sad to see when it's something so basic as checking sound levels messing up the Event. there were also a lot of peaks for example when people were screaming which is not hard to fix if you know what you are doing. it just felt like a very unprofessional sound tech.

    Devon improved A LOT, even cracked Levan's wrist multiple times. But Levan developed a flop in case.. i remember a while back Levan talking about Devon having a strong wrist and how he would develop a flop press just in case. • @user-pb7pr3di8m

    Rationalization. 1. Devon never cracked levans wrist (not this fight and not in the last fight). 2. Levan in THIS match merely DECIDED to GIVE UP (which is not "cracking someones wrist") the wrist to flop press (which by definition NEEDS a given up wrist) and he won. 3. Contrary to the trash talk before the match like "Levan I will crack your wrist" (which implies something he DOES), LEVAN CRACKED the wrist of Devon EACH ROUND. So it was the exact opposite of the things that Devon said before the match. 4. Devon hand/wrist was WEAK (got cracked) in EACH round except maybe round 1 where he had a very good setup. You cant change reality. watch the match.

  • @Nanamin69

    @Nanamin69

    Levan willingly gave up his wrist in round 1. From round 2 onwards Levan cracked Devon's wrist. Only Devon's pronation was hanging on, which was also overwhelmed as you can see by his angle being opened up and the focus shifting completely on his bicep in round 4.

    Your analysis of the first round is exactly how I saw it. Engin agrees and Levan also stated that he totally strained/gassed Devon's arm in that first round press. Devon's kingsmove in rounds 2, 3, and 4 looked worse than his kingsmove in round 1 of 2022. And he's obviously much stronger than he was in 2022. So I think that also supports the idea that Devon's arm was gassed.

    @@jrock2460 I disagree. He will become older and weaker, then more young and stronger athletes rise and replace him. He also doesnt have the titles/belts long, how long exactly? 1-2 years? this is NOTHING. also if he competes in SHW of course he doesnt compete against lower divisions and cant be challenged, then if HE decided "oh i want to defend my title" then he gets a match... Maybe the athletes should be BOUND to the classes, so if you rise up your division you should give up your belt/title, this way you dont hinder others to compete for the belt/title, if you dont do this then it would be akin to Denis holding the hammer for years without merit. Devon then basically is STEALING the opportunities and prestige of others. If he then decides to return to the class, he should REGAIN the belt/title. This is the only rational choice here.

    imo Naurdaulet and Samushia was the match of the night. Hoping Sasho drops to 85kg to face Samushia next. Sasho pushing his weight limit at 95, but for 85 he can just do a little cut then a water cut. I remember Engin saying before Sasho pushes himself around his limit to be 95kg before. Probly like Irakli in 105kg vs 95kg

    After the loss to Genadi a few months ago, KZread channels should have correctly estimated where Devon's level is. However, all channels hyped his ability for getting a better mileage of their channels. Thats why the match was such a bummer. Devon did not become super-human and best contender by beating a 80% Dennis, a fat dude named Georgi (who lost to Jerry, Alex and had a hard time beating a sick Morozov) & most importatntly, a totally spooked Ermes (Devon's underhand mind-game techniques psyched Ermes out, his hands were shaking before the match, this Levan noticed too). Hence, we were doing wishful thinking about this match. A more confident Ermes or a beefed up Morozov are the only two people who can properly challenge Levan. I pick Morozov - he's the dude with the biggest potential, age is on his side too. Even Cadorette would be a better challenge for Levan than the overconfident Devon who made the biggest calculation blunder by cutting down his weight. It was hot knife through butter for Levan. If there's no good contenders for Levan, at least dont hype the wrong people for viewership. Stay real with the analysis, even if that means less subscribers.

    Ray, Levan didn't lose his wrist in the first round because Devon had a better advantage in the setup and kept his pronation intact for a few moments, making it difficult for Levan to get a better grip. If you look closely, Levan blocked Devon's attempt at side and back pressure completely, without looking desperate or exhausted. On the contrary, Devon was struggling a lot every second and was getting gas out. Levan started to slowly push Devon towards his side and finished with a flop wrist press. Levan was very tactical here, he holded Devon and had better control of the situation even though he didn't have a good grip, and then finish with the press. Devon really with that full King's Move with his arm completely extended and his shoulder crossing under the table was grotesque, a foul should have been called before, a move like that can change the course of a match by treacherously bleeding an opponent. But even so, he didn't wear out Levan, who also looked to have better endurance. To be honest, Levan looked by far superior in all aspects, even crushing Devon in his own psychological warfare territory. Levan's champion mentality is also extremely strong. Levan proved to be the undisputable champion of the super heavyweights.

    “The story of Devon is now over.” “I also drink the kool aid.” Cheap shots. That press Levan did zapped everything out of Devon’s arm. I think instead of Devon trying to fight through that press he should have either elbow fouled or just gave it to him, but that’s not Devon’s style. Do or die!

    I think Ermes showed Levan was human, beatable. When I saw how dominant Devon was against Ermes, I thought for sure Devon would do better against Levan, and he did, let's be honest. But the horsepower wasn't there. 120 kg vs 180 kg. Levan was 50% heavier. Devon couldn't make up for that with his endurance, got opened up. But no matter. I don't know that Devon can become heavier and stronger. So it's probably good for him to keep dominating in the heavy-weight division, and let the young monsters try to hunt the gorilla. Maybe if Devon worked with a body-builder, maybe Leonidas or Larry wheels, he could grow... but well, we'll see. 48 is not too late to gain mass, but it's harder for sure. I'm thinking Ermes is the one closest to beating Levan, now that he's learned from his defeat against Levan and Devon. We'll see! Exciting to be sure.

    Excellent analysis, Ray. At first I thought the reason as to why Devon was able to stop Levan in round 1 but lost badly in round 2 was because Devon got the good side of the strap on the first round, I was convinced that Devon was going to make a stop again in round 3, I told my brother even that No limits still had his shot, but no chance. Rewatching it, is pretty obvious that after round 1 Devon's arm was completely gone.

    Yes, Levan is fundamentally too strong. However, I think had the Devon that arm wrestled Dennis, but a bit stronger, he would have had more success. I think Devon was so concerned about Levan's power, he trained straight power and stopping him. That caused him to lose a lot of his endurance that he's known for. It surprised me that Devon gased so fast. Now he may have been hurt after that extension. I think he should have let it go and just took the loss as Levan was hurt too. Great match and fantastic event.

    Hit the nail on the head ray, that's exactly what happened! Devon's brachialis and bicep where gone after that insane stretch! More so then levans wrist. When I saw round 2 I tought Devon would try to turn and hook him round 3 cause he must have realised that it was done. Altough I can't imagine what must it feel like to hook Levan. I don't want to sound like I am pointing fingers but I think the refs took a bit too long to decide and call it a foul on that first round also the assistant ref was kinda undecided if he should stop that match or not. Granted Levan was very close to the pin and it was a very important match but a foul is a foul and maybe just maybe it should've been called a bit sooner.

    You can tell by your excitement that the event was special, and your experience being there was amazing. Sadly it does not translate at all when the technical aspect is at such an amateurish level. In terms of audio and overall production quality I think this possible is the worst one yet, of all the EvW and KOTT events and this is the very top event in the entire sport. The fight for the no.1 spot. The old WAL stuff is the benchmark to aspire to. The way it went down on saturday it sadly makes for a confusing and tiresome experience to watch the whole thing. To end it on a high note, the quality of the matches themselves was incredible!🌟🌟

    Coach Ray, I just want to thank you for everything you're doing to keep us informed and to help us love arm wrestling even more. I want to say that both Devon Larratt and Levan Saginashvili had success and we shouldn't view this as a loss. Levan is the strongest and biggest arm wrestler in the world, weighing 60 kilos more than Devon, so there was very little chance for Devon to win. But despite Devon not winning, it's clear that despite Devon losing, he still reached his maximum potential, which is surely being the second strongest man in the world in arm wrestling. Not only is he one of the strongest, but I believe he has also had an influence on Levan himself, who is now the strongest arm wrestler. I also want to thank Engin Terzi for organizing this great event, and all of you who have helped us love this sport more than football.
