As a defense type player (and since my first ever bey was draciel) black shell is legitimately the bey for me it's legitimately my favorite release they've ever done and what I could see black shell be usefull maybe on point or unite maybe? Just depend on how the stamina is and all that but black shell will most likely be useful for anti attack/just straight attack because how it's shape is and it kinda reminds me of knightlance for how it's shape kinda is so it could work on combos similar to knightlance combos

Counter attack has always been tricky for pure attack and attack oriented balance types to deal with in X. Good example is knight shield on taper. It’s a pretty reliable counter to a lot of attack combos out there. Dark shell might be really good for counter attack, I agree.

I'm hype for Cobalt Dragoon, as long as it isn't 37+ grams for whatever reason. Pirate Kraken also had a performance tip called "jog sharp ball". Very unique bey it was. I enjoyed Zero-G. So far, there are six recolors that are yellow (or at least yellow-ish).

The design of CobaltDragoon reminds me of Dragoon Galaxy because of the 8 blades but reversed and it kind of has the same aesthetic as DranDagger. The 2 ratchet seems to look wide which may be useful for left attack specifically. I’m still kind of disappointed that it’s not metal coated since this is a special release but not as special as something like PhoenixWing/CobaltDrake. To go off topic, if there will be a UX Phoenix, I hope the name would be something like Red/Vermillion Phoenix and the Bit Chip have the BSB Symbol so that we can finally have the 4 Sacred Bit Beasts in X. I would also like it if the inside is blue just like Dranzer Spiral.

Welp, I think I know which bey I'm maining when it releases. Loved Dragoon's design from OG/Bakuten Shoot, and I'm excited to see my personal favorite bit-beast return in Beyblade X.

Yeah gotta agree with sentiments shared here. The left spin bey is going to shake up the meta. Hard. I’m HOPING it’s going to be a reliable counter to rod, as that things just flat out ridiculous, but we’ll see. A LOT of people are worried this will seemingly bring back the equalization meta and I hate to say it: I think they’re flat out wrong. The shapes just too aggressive for it. It CAN equalize, I’m not saying it can’t, but it just looks too aggressive to do it reliably. I’m not worried. The random booster can’t get here quick enough. Dark shell is going to be a fun bey, no matter what, and, with dot being made, I’m kinda hoping we see a true remake of Jog Ball from MFB sometime soon! It’d be a fun part to have in X, I feel. Cant wait CANT WAIT for July. So hyped.

Know what i just thought of. It always looked like hells scythe would be a left spin. If they do that to the hells lineup, and make it left spin so bird can get his win because "oh this fits my playstyle!" would be cool, since in a way this is supposed to be a competitive series. There should be no discrepency or rarity towards left spins. Dual types, however, should be VERY rare, I believe.

I think it will depend how X describes left Beyblade's and how important it is if that happens, tho I don't like that X is afraid of the plastic gen design of having the aggro contacts facing the right way

I'm interested in how they'll execute it, because in my opinion burst wasn't really supposed to be "competitive" like a sport as in how beyblade X treats beyblade as a sport, so I never really thought burst handles opposing spin very well, since they introduced so many left spins it basically didn't feel special anymore, unlike how it was portrayed to be. If they didn't portray beyblade x left spins as anything too special, but instead just a strategy, I think then it'd be handled much more effectively. Dual spins, however, I'm really curious how they'd execute because they'd either be ridiculously overpowered with the X dash strategy or extremely nerfed to compensate.

Hi! I don't know much about beyblade (I have played the plastic Gen and followed for fun the Metal Gen) and I started following you to better understand the X-Gen. I have a pair of stupid question. 1) i have learned by my hobby about different color plastic have different characteristics because of the pygment used. Have the point different characteristics because of the color? (maybe the yellow is softer then the green). 2) because of the Xtreme gear I think the defence bey have a disadvantage but are a good option to make a "defense bey" to chose a top attack, a 6-60 or similar and a needle to stay in the center of the stadium and use the opponents Xtreme move to get it over the stadium like a rocket launcher?

So my friend for starters: www.beybxdb.com/ This is a database I typed up it is not fully up to date still not updated from May but here you can learn about the releases. So typically not always the color the beys on the typing so attack blue, balance red, stamina yellow, and defense green but this is not always applied so you would ignore that. Next for defense performance this is a fair question to ask DEFENSE is a very tricky type in general with BEYBLADE because it is a type that cannot really get perfected. For Beyblade X the bit is the bottom part that is your performance tip, the defense beys have a few issues. 1. The blades for defense are not usually heavy so making them be able to tank attack types is a bit rough, defense does exist in BEYBLADE X but the the actual blades that are released as defense except for some, keep in mind i have to talk vague here just so you can better get the point. 2. Defense bits, so the issue with defense bits is not they stay in the center you basically tilt launch them to avoid main impact because otherwise yes you would get KO'd sometimes, the issue is the BURST RESISTANCE. Beyblade X beys explode and burst so the RATCHET that twist and locks that is one factor since the side shape that is the hit point to make them burst and the height they are exposed, next is the bit because the shaft of the bit has a resistor on balance and attack that allows them to not burst as easily as defense and stamina, however the issue is defense has the same weakness as stamina in resistance which makes no sense forcing most bits of defense to not even be used. The best DEFENSE bit right now is HEXA because it is a balance bit that has strong resistance that works well for defense. If you need any help feel free to ask my friend

One thing about Attack type tips, be they Blade Bases, Running Cores, Bottoms, Drivers, or Bits, is that if they're amazing for Attack...then yeah, their Stamina absosmurfinlutely *SUUUUUUCKS!!* Cobalt Dragoon...I wonder if it's the successor to Cobalt Drake? If you look at the original Bakuten Shoot manga (NOT the anime, they skipped an entire series of product despite somewhat adapting the manga), Takao's/Tyson's Dragoon went through TWO iterations that were Right Spin in both Dragoon (the toy was incorrectly called Spin Dragoon and sometimes Ultimate Dragoon) & Dragoon Grip Attacker, before upgrading into Dragoon Storm and becoming Left Spin where it would remain...until Dragoon MS/MSUV/MF because HMS was entirely dual spin. 🤷🏽‍♂️ At any rate, I think Cobalt Dragoon's gonna have some hard competition in the form of Dranbuster. Just gotta wait and see. But what's with porting all these Burst/Metal Fight parts!? Quake (Rush), Needle/Jog Ball (Dip'n Dots, I mean Dot...), Fusion (cuz Point really looks like a kinda less sucky Fusion)...why??

For the question on the last part, keep in mind this if we are going to go on for many years as Takara Tomy wants to, that means any of the shitty parts from the past have to get adapted to fill in that time. Like thinking about how many years Burst went on and how many unique ones we got. I do think they are needed to exist, likely you will need the shitty ones to fill it out.

I thought they would keep the drake part and change the cobalt part because the outer layer isn’t blue anymore but they kept the cobalt part and changed it to dragoon 🤔

Ngl, the 3 way stadium looks great for casual parties with friends, that way instead of having a bunch of 1v1, you can just go battle royale fun. Would be crazy if some underrated beys in 1v1 be consistently good in 3 way battles, that could put some pressure on deck building for bigger events where the first part would be 3 way battles.

I think what will make CobaltDragoon actually scary is that once it releases, it will subsequently introduce Spin Equalization into the meta - I can imagine some Bladers running CobaltDragoon on Bits like Disc Ball, for example, and then other Bladers may try to counter it by running WizardRod on Disc Ball. With how dominative Spin Equalization was in Beyblade Burst, in particular, I'm worried that we may get a repeat of that in Beyblade X; more so if more left-spin Beys are released in the future.

Ok, for Black Shell (prize bey) its eh for the parts but the others, nice people are going to get toxic and we are going die x_x (competitive and price wise) For Cobalt Dragoon, i feel as if its like the cyclone bit feels like a mix of flat and the shape of the flat is like rush and basically a stamina waster like low flat. Also are we going through a loop? Let me tell you this, og beyblade burst had all right spins and ONE left spin. And then Beyblade X....we have a similar trend, but the antagonists are basically beybreakers but in the X Generation.

@zankye I think it shouldn't be that bad because the impacts for X are much stronger and hard hitting whereas for Burst, the Stamina equalizer battles were very soft hitting which allowed the beys to feed off of eachother so much more.
