But sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath. Look into what He is actually saying here. Man doesn’t choose or change Yahs appointed times. He didn’t create us to add mixture. Stick to scripture not some wolves interpretation of it. Paul warned us the wolves will come in after He left.

@@markdlt2989 Reading Scripture in context exposes your false beliefs. Sabbath was given to the Israelites as the sign of the Covenant between them and God. The wolves referred by Paul in Acts 20 are the Jews opposed to Paul’s teachings. Stop reading your preconceived ideas to Biblical passages. It doesn’t work.

@@FIJIApologist-ab1cd We read scripture differently. The wolves are those who twist Yahs laws, add or take away. E.g. the Talmud. Yahs laws are described in Psalms 119 as Truth. Paul wouldn't call those teaching truth wolves. Also amongst the Israel when Yah said it was a sign (a covenant) was there not goyim? There is NOT two Gospels. The renewed covenant was written on the hearts of those who desire to walk in Torah (Instructions) obedience. We don't add to or take away from that. The animal sacrifice was the old covenant Yah replaced with Yahushas blood. Keep reading scripture according to the buffoon you seem to agree with here. See how that goes.

@@markdlt2989 Context must always help interpret Scripture. Those who choose to take the text out of context are simply religious “cons”. Judaizers ignores God’s New and better Covenant and did not understand that New Covenant believers are not subject to the instructions of the Old Covenant which is obsolete and gone. The Old Covenant was not renewed. It was destroyed. A New Covenant was made. The concept of Covenant is important in understanding the relationship between the Old and the New Testament, because in biblical times covenants were very common.

@@FIJIApologist-ab1cd Which I explained. You simply bloviate. Of course context matters and I gave you examples. The only portion Yah said was would be Finished is blood sacrifices. Read Daniel 9 starting in verse 24. Context! No other place is what you call old covenant says the terms of Torah are null in void. Show me? In fact we see throughout the renewed covenant Yahs Torah being honored. Peter in Acts tells you He continued in observing the clean food laws. What does it say...‭? Ma`asei (Acts) 10:13-14 [13] And a voice came to him, “Rise up, Kĕpha, slay and eat.” [14] But Kĕpha said, “Not at all, Master! Because I have never eaten whatever is common or unclean.” Or on Sabbath at Messiahs death? ‭‭Luqas (Luke) 23:[56] And having returned, they prepared spices and perfumes. And they rested on the Sabbath according to the command." ‭‭Mattithyahu (Matthew) 28:[1] But late in the sabbath, as it was dawning into day one of the week, Miryam from Maḡdala and the other Miryam came to see the tomb." Take your comments to Yah and repent. Or don't! You're the wolf.

If you were taught the catechism, then you were also taught the references for why we believe what we believe. I would challenge you to go back and reread the catechism, this time pay attention to the references and read them in conjunction with the catechism.

If you only see the Sabbaths as legal holy days, then you do not understand the Sabbaths and the true purpose they hold. It's not about legalism. It's about production. If you never rest your fields/crops , production drops drastically. We need the 7th day Sabbath, and keeping it "holy" isn't ritualistic but Devine design.

However for me at the end of the day, Jesus is our example, and we should do everything to ressemble him in character and in everything we do. So shouldn't we also REMEMBER the holy sabbath day (Saturday) that Jesus also kept and went to church/synagogue on this day ?

Why stop only in Sabbath day, and not continue On leviticus 25 the Sabbath year. Do you keep the Sabbath year? God start his work in 1st day, then he counted up to 6th day. 7th day he bless it. The government whom God ordained, on Romans 13:1 Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. The government whom God stablish set the working days. The 1st day of work set by the government whom God had appointed was set to Monday and God is generous and only let the government set the working days to 5 days instead of 6 or 7. In Leviticus 23:24-25 KJVS Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. [25] Ye shall do no servile work therein : but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord. We see that 1st day of the sevent month was set as a Sabbath - so Sabbath is not fix on the 7th day Leviticus 23:39 KJVS Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the Lord seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath. As a student I respectfully disagree, of course not completely. I believe under sympathetic law that Saturday being the seventh day is symbolically resonant with the "seventh day" of god, being Saturday. You've justified Sunday, by putting forth that any day following God's rest is valid, because his Sabbath has not ended, but this does not place Sunday as A "better" or more apt day of rest, just as any following Saturday under the same logic would be. You've said that Jesus died on a Sunday at one point (I think, that or was resurrected on), and that's a good validation for the day, but ceremony should be different and not sabbatical under those pretenses. Regardless, I do agree that everyday following the creation of man is worthy of being a day of thanks and worship, but I feel that is beyond the point. The purpose of the Sabbath is one meant to be more symbolic, and poetic in effect, thus a mere gesture of beauty. Being on the seventh day, Saturday. It is the poetic beauty of the sabbatical Saturday that marks the difference. Where as Sunday might as well be any other day, outside of the separate significance of Christ's own life that was mentioned. Thank you.

In Portuguese culture/language Saturday is similar, it's called "Sabado". I generally have always been under the impression that Sunday was the first day. I'm just giving the origins and reason of the "true" Sabbath of the O.T.. The apostle Paul in the N.T. as much as told us that we as Christians are not to judge any man according to his day of worship. In the current dispensation, we as Christians are not under such "laws" today after Jesus died. The "cross" ended that. BTW, are you trying to define the beast power in what you say? Did you know who and when was the Bible compiled? I doubt. The Old Testament and the New Testament was Compiled in 382 AD by the Catholics and was called the Holy Bible in 385 AD and translated into Latin Vulgate by St. Jerome. All copies were Handwritten until the Printing Press was invented sometime 1440 AD. For about 1500 years Christianity spread throughout the World without the use of the Bible. Did you know that? Hmmm again I doubt. What if the Catholics did not make the Bible, where will your Doctines came from? Hahaha Thats why you're all IGNORANT of the True CONTEXT of the BIBLE. Here I'll explain to you" 1). The Bible is divided into TWO, the Old Covenant ONLY for the JEWS alone and New Covenant ONLY for Christians. 2). Seven Days a week did not start from the Bible. Because Calendar was already in used for Centuries before in Mesopotamia, the Greeks and the Romans. 3). Your SEVENTH day Worship came from Gen. 2:1-3 ".....and God finished His work and rested on the SEVENTH Day...." . 4). Now tell truthfully. Do you believe that God Created everything in 6 Days and Rested on the 7th? 5). Being Almighty God, He can create everything in just a WINK of an eye ang not 6 days. And being God, does not get TIRED and RESTED. Hahahaha your God was so tired. 6). And the Pope has nothing to do with the Sunday Worship because even during the Apostolic Times 65 AD, they're already doing it on Sunday. Acts 20:7 "On the FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK when we gather for the Breaking of the Bread...". And That continued to this very day in the HOLY MASS, Sunday and Everyday. 7). You're wondering why so many Denominations, including yours? It started in 1521 AD when Martin Luther was Ex-Communicated by the Church and he established his own in Germany called The Lutherans and many followed him, especially in America. 8). The Seventh Day Adventist and the Jehovah Witnesses are CULTS who followed not Christ but Ellen G, White and Charles T. Russell and Joseph Rutherford respectively. They were followers of William Millers as Millerites being Adventists who prophesied the coming of Jesus Christ since 1843 to 1975 all failed. 9). The SDA and JW are NOT CHRISTIANS because their teaching about JESUS was actually MICHAEL the ARCHANGEL. 10). Hahahaha so it was MICHAEL who was CRUCIFIED and not JESUS. Hahahah what a Doctrine.

@@paddydobbs2318 that would be correct if this were the only means by which one understood what God's Sabbath rest was all about. It's not about observing the Saturday as a religious testing day from work as it was foreshadowed in the Mosaic law for Israel. Christ and the Holy Spirit taught us in the new testament that the Sabbath is entering into salvation, ceasing from striving and "working" for our salvation. Yes the Matthew verse by Christ was not specifically telling us what Christ's rest was, but in other passages we learn that coming to Jesus brings us into the eternal Sabbath of God as clearly spoken in Hebrews and elsewhere. Sabbath day teaching clearly is not taught, nor repeated in the new testament teaching, but it's taught that we enter into the true Sabbath day of rest, God's peace. So yes when you come to Jesus you enter into the Sabbath rest of God, Jesus will give your rest from your hopelessness of sin and death. He will give you ultimate peace and rest. By what Jesus said, he simply meant that he created the 7th day Sabbath. After all, Col. 1:15 says that in the very beginning God created Jesus (note: "his BEGOTTEN son") and that Jesus later created all things, including the Sabbath. There is a LOT info in that one short verse, but preachers don't like to teach what it says. It upsets their "applecart". The weekly 7 day cycle has never changed from the entire history of the Bible. Certainly you don't think that all of the Jewish nation woke up one morning and forgot what day of the week it was?! May you be blessed until your cup overflows. Oh, I must just say, your teachings never gets boring. You are a true fisher of men.

@@Hmm-xy9qsVery good question brother. The Sabbath(Saturday) is a mark of God's authority, Sunday "sabbath" is really the mark of the beast enforced by the Catholic Church (anti-christ I.e in place of Christ)

But if we as Christians enter the Sabbath as God's day of rest, then when are we allowed to work? If everyday for Christians is God's Sabbath, then we have no days that we are to work. Work as in fixing the house, weeding the garden. "going to work to earn a living?" No, it does not make sense.

No you're not getting it, it's not work as in physical sense of not working like Israel as they were bound by the law. Old testament laws are a shadow of the substance, that is Jesus. We're not bound by the law any longer. We live in the Spirit. We can rest in the Lord of Sabbath, in Jesus any time. It's not about the day of not working it's about who is giving us rest from working to our salvation. Jesus gives us the rest from having to work for our salvation.

Why did they follow the law in the OT? They thought it was the way to be saved when Paul in Romans explain that the law was given to show us how sinful we are and how impossible it is to live up perfectly to God's standards. “So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.” ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
