Muska evolved from being basically one of the coolest, most iconic cats on the planet into a wise, chill grandpa. A different type of cool. A great example of a dude who got all the partying and wilin' out of his system when he was young, and moved on to other stuff. I wonder if he puts Shorty's stickers on his tractor.

I was following Muska on Facebook a couple years back and i commented on one of his posts about farming. He commented back! I was floored that a legendary skater like Muska took the time for his fans. Such a rad dude. He made a comment about how taking care of his animals (dogs/cats/farm animals) helps him to find meaning and that if he weren’t here, who would take care of them? And how much the animals would miss him if he were gone. Such a powerful truth. It helps to give us purpose when we have something to take care of and something that depends on us. It really inspired me as someone who sometimes struggles with life, a reason to be alive amidst occasional depression.

I met Muska at a Jam in Toronto when I was 10. I wasn’t very good at skating at the time. long story short, after a conversation on the deck of a roll in he told me I should skate the park with him and the team (element) the team was killing the park so I was far to nervous, but he made a point to tell me there was nothing wrong with not being as good as other people and riding with the good guys was the best way to learn. I still didn’t drop in haha but dude! Muska is the man for trying to make some little kids day hahaha. Thanks for the awesome memory!

I too had a really great experience with Muska. In the early 2000's my friends and I were skating the stairset at the frontside of Montgomery Middle School here in San Diego when Muska and a his friend rolled up and asked if they could skate with us. We knew it was Muska so we of course said yes. Him and his friend both were constantly hyping us up anytime we landed something no matter how easy the trick was or how sketchy we landed it. When he could tell we were struggling with a trick he'd offer us really in-depth advice and helped us correct the mistakes we were making. He also didn't hog the spot, he gave us plenty of attempts between his tricks. He ended up spending the entire rest of the day skating with us....showing us other cool hidden spots in the area, we showed him a few spots that he didn't know of, he shared a lot of cool personal stories with us, and even bought us lunch. We ended up seeing him at another spot a few years after that and he still remembered us too! I have a lot of other experiences skating with/meeting pro skaters from back then because a lot of other pros lived in the same area as me, but that experience with Muska really stands out. Dude was just so down-to-earth and had no ego whatsoever. He had no real reason to skate with a bunch of random teenagers who were mediocre at skating, but he chose to just because he realized how stoked we were to be skating with him. Dude is a legend, not just for his skating but also for how good of a person he is.
Muska and Andre 3k have similar energy They both already won the game and are now running around doing side quests in overalls
It has to be so weird being a Living Legend. Chad Muska to most 90’s skaters is immortal.
This Gentleman Rules in the Skateboard Family. Bless up for a complete run and running this life full circle.
I loved watching him skate around town many many moons ago here in San Diego... love Muska

Best comment I've seen in months. Thanks dude, I needed a good laugh.
Watched this guy from when I was young. What a difference. He’s always been super humble. Take notes people. Super happy for you. Keep it. Love and peace brotha!!
His bit about intuition is articulated quite well.
The goat. I grew up in Amherst Ohio and muskas parents lived right behind old town pizza and he came to town and played a game of skate with a bunch of us and I won with a fakie big flip. He was hungover and told us about sleeping with Paris Hilton 😂
The Muska always finds his way!
Love seeing anyone especially skaters who've made tons of money made mistakes only to find themselves with more peace of mind once they find the little things that matter. Love Muska hope he stays well.

He's come a long way from "The Muska" Era which He even said gave Him a huge "ego" which turned Him into something He's not.
Such good vibes as always from the legend. He can talk about all he’s done and is and still sound humble and chill
The pandemic woke a lot of people up to healthy living, living off the Earth, getting away from all the processed food and big pharma stuff. I'm happy for musca

This just goes to show that as skaters, we can do whatever we want and be good at it. It’s so rad to see Muska getting hyped about growing food!
From boomboxin' down rails to cropdusting down trails. OG triple OG.

Chad is a Boddisathva, pure love
Just when you think a human could not be any cooler... freakin hero
I'm so glad Chad's found a real life after pro skateboarding. Now that I'm over 40 I worry about all the guys I grew up idolizing, hoping Kareem's real estate business is going well, enjoying Nine Club / Hawk & Wolf and seeing stuff like Thank You Skateboards. There really needs to be a stronger focus on what happens after for everybody, just as much as teaching them how to manage finances when that first big pro check comes in.
Chad is proof that you could be the coolest guy and yet the most humble. Bless him
So inspirational. Goes to show that anything is possible if you follow your dreams. Thanks Muska
Legend. Really happy for you, Chad.
Homesteading having kids and trad living is punk rock

Except nothing he described is "trad living", it's just simply what living in a really rual area is. That "trad life" bullshit is a very explicit social dynamic having nothing to do with the location of your residence.
Love the insight too...
Heck yeah! I love his new path he is on! So epic to hear his transition.
This man literally transcended his old self into a real life modern day enigma.
Muska and Penny should start a skateboard company! 2 influential enigmas that just embody skateboarding 🍻
Musks, if you’re reading this, get yourself a Luba 2 robotic lawnmower. You’ll thank me. It will give you time to do other important things around the farm while the lawn mows itself. One of the best investments I’ve ever made.
I was super lucky to get to watch chad hit the muska banked in st.louis, Missouri! The banked wall was torn down last year 😢
Muska is definitely on to something. Living his best life. ❤
Go Muska peace from Cleveland 💫
In the 4th grade (circa.2001) I had a white Chadillac “Muska-Lade” deck that my dad ordered over the phone from the CCS catalog . I thought I was the baddest mf on the planet .
Muska is truly BASED!
I love Ohio I lived there for over 30 years. It’s a beautiful state, but now the groundwater is contaminated. The rivers are contaminated, and every day you can look up at the sky and see chemtrails. , Ohio was also New York’s garbage dump. They used to bring all of New York’s garbage by train and by truck and dump it in Ohio.
My go to pick in THPS.. hell yeah Muska.
*leans into mic* Taxes. lmao
Land is cheap in Ohio and California takes half of everything you make. Don’t blame him.
I believe the reason for depression or personality types like his. Is because we used to stay busy from sun up to sun down but for “real” reasons. And by default you become connected to nature. Untimely balancing you back out. I’m not saying we have to go back to the Stone Age but as soon as we created artificial goals in life. “Buying”a house, a buying a “car”. Saving “money” It disrupted our balance 🤷♂️
I remember buying the Muska shoes when they came out. Back in the good ol’ days.
I appreciate Farmer Muska
Yeah bro I live in Dayton Ohio it's like I don't know I grew up in Arizona and on and off in Arizona and Ohio Ohio is a good state for certain things and you know all you're doing is just living life living in the moment like most people should amazing artist man I would love to collaborate peace love and life
Muska is so fkn cool, I love that dude, thanks for being badass ,huge influence
damn had a pair of this guys kicks back in the day.
I love that he’s doing this and not being a junkie or wallowing in bitterness.
What a beautiful human!
Not bad city slicker! ;)
The dollar goes a lot farther in Ohio. California is overrated in my opinion. Muska will forever be a favorite of mine. I wish him continued success 🍻
Right on, Muska.
He has developed a nice Trump like voice. He could make an insanely accurate Trump impression 😂😂
Midwest is the last place that’s affordable too!

I met Chad at the Church of Skatan once
Those are the Sussex chickens. White with the black cowl. Those girls definitely have a personality
Yo Muska! Lets link up and discuss permaculture and regenerative agriculture! Design nature.
It's not that complicated. Dude was a good skater and partied and skated hard and now wants to settle down like anyone else.
One of the Shorty's OG.
Muska was the man is still is the man
God bless Muska❤
Idle hands keeps you away from demons.
Big up Muska!

honestly I never liked Muska when he was on top of the world he always seemed waaaaaaaaaay to arrogant and thought his sh It didn't stink however I've watched him evolve into such a humble , grateful individual all of this considering he started out homeless in San Diego with nothing but a backpack and a skateboard 👍
Muska beats

people are leaving LA all the time and it's because rent is out of control and cant afford it here anymore, not everyone hates homeless to this degree and realize they too are victims of the housing crisis but go off
BS on them 💊
He chose Ohio cuz Oregon is out of his price range for farming
I huh he doesn’t know anything about plants.. 🍁
I love the idea of Californians pricing locals out of the real estate market all over the country.
God Chris Robert’s sucks haha. Muska rules he will interesting around anyone!
so nonsensical and hokey. did his intuition lead him to rock bottom with alcohol? he obviously jumped ship because there’s no hope in our consumerist vacuum of meaning that has swallowed skateboarding. have the balls to actually articulate something or just keep digging.
This guy has grown as a human..very very impressive what he has accomplished with nothing. Who moves to Cali with no money and no place to live..then blows up to what he did..sometimes u have to lay it all on line to reach your dreams! 😊
