You forget about Mesenbrink at 157?

It will also allow Starocci to prepare and grow for senior level competition at 86 kg since he’s not making 74.

125 - start Luke. Redshirt Davis. 133 - Nagao 141- Bartlett 149 - start van ness. Redshirt kasak 157- Start Mitchell 165 - Haines 174 - up in the air 184- Barr 197 - Carter. Redshirt mirasola Hwt -Greg. Redshirt mirasola Other notable redshirts are Sealey and Ryder. Where Ryder eventually fits in the lineup is really interesting. The future lineups are not going to get any less crowded and I can’t fathom guys like Ryder sitting for more than one year.

It's a great problem to have --- there is only so much Cael/Casey/Cody can do to keep hi caliber talent sitting idle without potential transfer portal exits.

Carter should do it. It’s the ONLY time in history you can do this. Not only does one need to be a 4-timer to obviously get their 5th, but you have to have the opportunity to actually get the 5th and I highly highly doubt these two things will ever line up again. He would be the first and only 5th timer ever.

First time I ever heard CP misspeak….lol CP, let’s do this, let’s all put in our potential PSU lineups for this new year, how many finalists in NCAA’s, and by how many points they win the NCAA’s by.

Great list….thx. I think Kerk just announced he will be back, and I’m kinda hoping Davis wrestles 133. I think the team points will get close to 190. I’m wishfully thinking 8 finalists 125-133-141-149-157-165-184 and HWT. Carter at 184 and Davis at 133. If PSU gets 8 in the finals, and gets a team score at or over 190, I feel Tom and Terry Brands will automatically simultaneously self implode.

@@ogot344 he’s a U17 bronze world medalist. And teched an NCAA qualifier (in the finals) in the US Open last week that was Ben Askren trained (so a pretty good kid). He’s a stud. I have him in the line up because if Carter truly doesn’t go 174. The only one who could challenge for 174 would be Joe Sealey (who is too small for the weight for now) and Alex Facundo… who honestly could take it. But Ryder is apparently doing what Levi Haines did and skipping his senior year to go train with DT which is why I have him in the lineup.

He said that the chump, known as Carter Starocci, has a chance to do something never done before by winning a fifth NCAA championship. Well, that's both accurate and inaccurate. The legendary Carlton Haselrig won six. He won 3 division II & 3 division I. While wrestling for division II Pitt at Jonesboro, he caused the NCAA to create the Haselrig rule which no longer allows lower division champs to compete against the big schools. Plus, he went on to become an all-pro for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Why bump up 2 weight classes?

He saw it work for Aaron Brooks. The plan is for them both to be winning olympics that only happens if he wins at 86 and Brooks goes up to 97 kilo and takes out Snyder.

Sorry but Carter is now completely shadowed by Brooks! What AB has done with making the Olympic Team and beating David Taylor to do it is just insane!!

Way too early to tell how it all shakes out at PSU. I do think that Connor Mirasola could show up and dominate everyone BUT Starocci at the higher weights and start as a true frosh, either at 197 or 184, depending on Starocci's decision. I expect Starocci to stay at 174, though...he hasn't outgrown the weight, and now it's a long time to the '28 Olympics. There's no rush to start reassembling himself to wrestle down or up from where he is now. SO: 174: Starocci; 184/197: Barr and Mirasola; HWT: Greg. The middle weights are jammed with good wrestlers...and completely befuddling to me.

I think he could bulk up very quickly but it takes time to gain muscle and then be optimally strong and mobile and functional with the muscle. Starting as soon as possible makes a lot of sense for him. Big bulk, no cutting during the season, will be very good for him

Is him coming back just to make history or? Other than history idk why u come back.

NIL. Also if he is going to stay with NLWC, why not just wrestle for PSU. Unless he is deadset on going MMA, it makes a lot of sense to wrestle this year in NCAA's and shoot for nationals again next year.

You guys are making something bigger than it is..Carter never said for sure.. Cunningham has said it's very unlikely..
