Eventually someone will beat Bolt's record. There are enough ways to improve sprinting. But there is a limit to optimizing pitch mechanics, with one problem being the body/elbow's limit.

@@MissKorea-oy9ip It really just sounds like you have no idea what you’re talking about🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️ You claim sprinting doesn’t have a physical limitation on the body like there is with pitching but that’s simply not the truth. In fact, Sprinters experience a higher rate of injury than pitchers. Although it is increasingly more common for pitchers to get hurt from pitching, it is in fact even MORE common for sprinters to get injured statistically speaking. I don’t know why you think generating an immense otherworldly amount of explosiveness in the fibers of your legs is somehow easy to do but it’s really not. The plateau of sprint speeds will reach a similar standstill than those of pitching speeds unlike what you may believe. Sure, someone is going to eventually beat Usain Bolt. But guess what, someone will eventually throw 106 mph. The truth is that the improvement will converge so marginally that it’ll eventually become a battle of minutiae.

I predict within the next ten years you’ll have pitchers consistently throwing 100-110 mph plus. It’s inevitable. Athletes get bigger and stronger every generation.

I Do not know if that is actually attainable, but if there ever is a Pitcher that can throw a pitch that fast AND throw it for strikes, he will make ALL of the money. All of it. As amazing as MLB Hitters are, and I am in awe of them every game I see, hitting a 107.5 MPH pitch is nearly impossible.

Someone should see how fast Victor Wembanyama can pitch a baseball. Bolts time is due to him being able to pump his legs as fast as the fastest guy except his legs are longer so he travels further every rep. That and maintaining form/strength thru the entire race. Wembanyama's longer arm means his hand in a throwing motion is capable of more speed for a equal strength/technique throw. Faster hand speed equals faster pitch. Obviously he isn't going to just pick up a baseball and throw ver fast mph but the theory is sound.

I'm sorry, but Nolan Ryan throws the fastest pitch. The equipment they were using in those days is obsolete compare to current technology. And if you watch that man, he pitched until he was in his 40's. And to make it more incredible, when he pitched for the Angels, Ryan pitch into extra innings ending at 235 pitches. This is BEFORE the pitch counts was implemented. Reggie Jackson once said: "Batters like fastball like kids like ice cream, but you don't want them to shove it down by the gallon"

It’s also because of what this narrator says”pitching over hand.” It does hurt your arm. Pitching underhand is more natural. There is less outward motion moving underhand. I looked for it, but I swear I read in Guinness book as an asterisk that the fastest baseball thrown was 108 underhand. That was 25+ years ago but the reason they didn’t include it because they only did overhand. This isn’t a Mandela thing and makes perfect sense that a human could do it.
