@@shemshonbenjaminesrael583 I have 11k on mine with 0 issues. No weird lights, no issues whatsoever believe it or not. The audi, Jag, and GT350 all gave me at least some sort of electrical issue in the first 10k. And i don't baby it. I drove it's first 600 miles through the storm/snow....I floor it multiple times per day. I slide it around in the rain for fun. I will say it bottoms out more easily than my gt350 which is surprising. The auto start stop feature is incredibly annoying because the button isn't in a super open place so sometimes you forget to turn it off. (it stays off in race mode but sometimes dynamic is the better option because you want ESC.) The passenger seat occupancy sensor is pretty sensitive so if you have a 20 lb bag it thinks someone is there and gives you seat belt warnings so you have to adjust the bag a little. So very minor gripes with the car. If you've owned a GT350 or something as loud, the exhaust noise in the cabin may be underwhelming because its meant to be a luxury cruiser, but it's loud outside, and if you want louder there are some pretty affordable fixes.

Appreciate the feed back my brother, right now I am currently torn in between a 16 CT’s-v3 or wondering if I should wait to see what bmw has to offer, I hear they should have a m3/4 with manual trans and selective awd, still love the thought of the Alfa but I hardly hear much about them being tuned or modified reliably

ours quadrifoglio has 52k miles on it. We daily drive it and push the car when we can, not a single problem. It is the stock quadrifoglio and has none of the upgraded features. got it in the Vesuvio Grey and it gets plenty of attention and people always come up and ask about the car.

Good job, Ron! Theses cars offer more smiles per mile than any other affordable car in the market. 2017 QV's came with different springs than the newer ones. This is why many owners of 2018-19 Qvs ordered 2017 springs. The difference in length is just over an inch. I like the standard wheels better than the 5-hole because they are lighter, and I think they look more aggressive, too. This is a perfect spec and a decent price. Offer $50K and I bet they would take it.
@RonsRides
5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for clearing that up because the stance on this 2017 is much meaner and with the standard wheels it really feeds on its aggressiveness.
Ron, you're definitely representin'! Very good and insightful review. The cost of ownership seems to catch some people unprepared, as can be seen by the state of some used premium cars one sees on the road. Some such cars suffer from bypassed regular maintenance, let alone not being repaired because the deductible isn't affordable. Life lessons when buying a car; any car new or used. You've nailed it quite clearly. Also, I see that your head is in a good place regarding preparing for your future self. The 65-year old you will appreciate your efforts. Keep it coming!

Hey @Ron! Really dig your videos, my Man. I’m with you 100%. I actually bought my 2017 QV with only 4,200 miles on it. The first and only owner went and bought a Porsche GT2 RS, and traded this in. Let’s just say he has plenty of cars. Essentially, I paid +/-$60K for it OTD. Really thrilled with my decision. It is the Trofeo White color too. Plenty of smiles per gallon, that’s for sure. However, just because I enjoy modifying my cars, I added a Centerline Alfa X-pipe, BMC Air Filter, and had a Fabspeed ECU upgrade completed. I am right at 600hp and 535lbs of torque. There is a local Alfa dealer and he takes care of all of my needs...it’s great. This thing MOVES. I only have just over 9K miles on it now. These QVs drive like no other. The handling is so amazing for a sedan...for any car really. Just wanted to thank you for making this video. It instills the very reasoning for my purchase in the first place. So long as you do your HW, you can get yourself a great deal.

R A , I understand and appreciate your opinion. Also, I respect your tenure in the industry. I was well aware of Alfa’s reputation as it relates to reliability. Yet, I took a shot at it. It has given me no issues up to this point, but it also has less than 10K miles on it. My dad and three of my buddies who have had Mercedes here in the states, some with AMG models, had some serious issues that needed attention. My friends with BMWs tend to not have as many issues from what I know of. Have you taken the QV for a spin? Curious as to what you think, since so many companies and auto review sources have been comparing the Giulia QV to the C63AMG, M3 Comp., and ATS-V. Appreciate your thoughts.
My favourite colour of the Alfa is Monte Carlo Blue... My spec would also include the carbon fibre seats, not the rotors, plus the lighter brighter wheels look more handsome with the blue body IMHO 🚙

Own a bmw m5 but these cars here are freakin sick!love the aggressive curbs on it.only thing I’d modify would be the grill into black.
You are quite an expert in Alfas! Thank you for your reviews. Question (on a different subject): can the sport seat cushion (bottom part) in earlier 2018 models that doesn’t “tilt”, be upgraded so that it does tilt?
Rear seats folding - depends whether you order the four seat stiff version or the five seat ‚family‘ version. Five seater folds, four seater is designed as a pure racer.
I can attest about the Alfas I used to own a 74 Spider and 74 GTV. THEY ARE A BLAST TO DRIVE!!! Price????

I love how this car looks. Not sure what it is but the profile is nice.
Amazing looks, sounds, and performance. Literally the perfect drivers sports sedan. But unless I had a huge fund for upkeep and a separate backup daily I wouldn't touch it. Maintenance is what you'd expect but I don't know one owner that hasn't had issues with it. Definitely has the reliability of an actual racecar which is a shame because I'd love this over the F80 M3.
Being previously stationed in Europe for a long while, I find it weird seeing these cars in the states now....I remember driving Alfa Romeos while there, pretty swift cars.

hmm i really tempted to get this car as my daily driver, cuz the price been dropping so much that its in my range, but so many ppl complain about the reliability of this car, see i personally don't believe in those cuz i got a dodge challenger and dodge been known for poor reliability but i haven't had any issue other than my radio which got replaced in first 6k miles, no issue since then... anyone else can tell me their experience with alfa?
In one way it sounds reasonable, 505 hp pretty nice design, and interior. A name brand for 55K. But remember. It is a tough sell when I look around a bit and I can purchase a certified 2017 BMW M3, M5 Audi S4 S5, Jaguar F type, a bit older mercedes cls63. You would have to convince me further to drop 55K on this car. One of the problems is that to an untrained eye this does not look much different from it’s 30K brand new brother, and there are many of them riding around town. So it is not necessarily on “making heads turn” territory, like a 2014 porsche 911 that you can buy for the same price. Its cool. But its tough sell.
Just wanna state that there is a company that makes an external controller for the exhaust system so that u can open the valves independently from the drive modes, so u can keep the Giulia in Dynamic mode and have the valves open.

Do all models from mid 2018 start coming with Apple Car Play? Do these have the PPF installed after 2017 as well or not yet?

Lot of people here are just paddling age old stereotypes, yet they have never owned an Alfa in their life. Alfas are performance cars and have been over a 100 years. When you drive a performance vehicle you do expect to pay a little extra and break a thing or 2 when you push hard. Watch formula 1, you will see multi millions spent on engines by all manufacturers and sometimes they blow in less then one race. Alfas drive like nothing else they are a driver's car, so much fun and joy to drive and their handling is amazing. Having said all that my brother has a Gulia nearly 2 years old about 18000 on the clock and it has not missed a beat. Drives like a beast. It is his daily driver.
An engine bay that cramped is going to be expensive to work on in addition to parts that I bet are expensive
Beautiful car
true. I love mine
manual is available in Europe but not in the U.S.
Le son est magique💓
Hey guys, I am planning on buying a pre-owned Alfa-romeo Giulietta. What is the expected maintenance cost for a 2015 second hand model that has made 50000kms? Anyone can help? The car is in very good condition with no faults.

Giuliettas are very reliable, just google it and you will see some material telling you what to look for, but you should be fine.
its a stunning looking car
