Volvo’s 90-Series cars - the S90 luxury sedan, XC90 SUV, and this V90 station wagon - are all stars in their own right. Balancing style, performance, and a healthy dose of luxury appointments, it’s hard not to like the models. But if there’s one we love above them all, it might be this slick, roomy V90.
The appeal starts with the Volvo’s taut, distinctive styling, which stands out without looking ostentatious. It continues inside, where impeccably finished materials give the cabin a warm, living room-like feel. And there’s even more appeal once on the move, with a gutsy twincharged four-cylinder engine and superbly composed suspension working in tandem.
Of course, the V90’s ultimate appeal is its station wagon form factor. Able to fit a huge amount of cargo in its hold, yet lighter and lower than a traditional SUV, it’s the perfect in-between vehicle for someone who wants to drive a car while carrying as much as they might in their crossover.
For a more thorough look at just why the 2018 Volvo V90 is such an impressive do-everything vehicle, watch as we put it through our Why Buy? testing regime in the video above.

All true car guys love estates.

Estates is family car for children. Real car guys drive sedans or convertible.

Srdjan Smudja so are you suggesting that all sedans and convertibles or sporty and fun to drive? So all the people who buy camrys corollas solara and other mundane sedans/convertibles are die hard car fanatics huh? 😁

@notformebeaky I thought that was just for guys who drive jacked up pick up's?
I hope the V90 and V90 Cross Country wagons are big sellers in the snow belt regions of the U.S.
Those robotic sounding questions are really terrible.
While only having it only 8 months am really enjoying my V90 XC. Verbal commands to navigation are frustrating as there is a steep learning curve to it and all the other voice commands. After driving from ny to fla and ri really appreciate the comfort of the seats and being able to exit at the end of the journey feeling like you just spent a few hours in your home easy chair. The lower profile also makes loading kayak and bicycles easier than with my former xc70.
Gorgeous.
Very informative video. Thank you for this.
Ducks!!! Also, R Design V90 is gorgeous.
Special orde r only means minimal discounts vs units hanging around lots, which Volvo periodically slashes prices on. Currently the CC version is $5,000 off MSRP in ads here.
Storage is actually down over the previous XC70 wagon which makes no sense as people who buy these do so specifically for the space. The outside of the car looks great though but unfortunately only the lousy/noisy 4 cylinder engines. If this had a 6 cylinder I'd buy it in a second.
LA QUIERO EN MI REALIDAD
He says 'back' like 'quack'
Starts a review with a default assumption that wagons are boring. Wagons are boring to people who have no sense of style
