Another chilling detail about Secretariat's poem: The poem switches from third person ("His feet shift, teeter-totter"), to second-person ("You're flying now, you see things much more clear than from the ground"), to first-person ("Before I leaped I should've seen the view from halfway down"). It's counting down, three, two, one.

Another way to interpret it is that its the disassociation people might have when they're about to end their life, but the closer and closer Secretariat got to death, the more he wasn't able to disassociate himself from the situation and realized that **he** was going to die. It went from "He's really gonna do it" to "you know there's no turning back" to "oh God, I'm about to die"

The View From Halfway Down never ceases to give me chills. As someone who never attempted suicide (had lingering thoughts of it though), the poem and the scene genuinely haunts me to this day. Like a KZread comment I saw of the scene says, a good series should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable.

Hollyhock’s absence in the final episodes is actually perfect for me. It’s really as if as soon as she cut ties with Bojack she stopped existing in his world, and you can really feel the fact that Bojack, just like the audience, will never get closure with her and see her again. Helps me feel closer to what Bojack felt reading that letter.

I remember reading a few complaints that this was the last we saw of Hollyhock, but personally I thought it's a realistic ending to their relationship. For all we know, Hollyhock may have the best life now that she's cut Bojack out of her life, which would still fit in the show's recurring element of all the supporting characters having a happy ending except for the main character.

I don't believe it's left ambiguous if PC is still going to be BJ's agent. She says, "I can recommend some very good people." I think that's her way of gently separating her work life from Bojack. She's learned that she can't be responsible for Bojack's career anymore, she needs to worry about hers first and foremost. She'll always be there for him as his friend, but I think work wise she's done.

@@ChoiousProdous Maybe, but to me it felt like a goodbye. I guess we can all interpret it differently. I still interpret it as her telling him to find another agent. She invited him to the industry wedding where he can go meet other people in the industry. She didn't invite him to the personal wedding which to me signifies she's moving on from her time with BoJack and won't be interacting with him anymore. Another point of this episode is that everyone moves on with their life. Diane and BoJack will probably never see each other again, Todd moved on from BoJack too. They all have their own lives to live and for the first time in BoJack's life we see he isn't clinging on to people too much. He's actually fine letting them go. So I thought PC was a part of that and BoJack is fine letting her live her life too. He actually did change and became less selfish. Maybe it was too little and too late, but it was still heart warming. We'll never know because the show is over. But it's interesting to think about what might of happened next.

This is the season that saved my life. I genuinely was planning to jump off of a bridge the very weekend the show came out, into the cold rapids of a river below, but the poem in the penultimate episode genuinely scared me off. 2 years later I'm still alive, and somehow against my 20-year-old self's belief I actually got happy eventually. Turns out, most of my problems were solvable, who would have guessed? When people ask what my favourite show is, there are many others that usually come to mind first. None of them saved my life though, so this will always be #1 for me, just out of respect.

It's really interesting to me how family and generational trauma is portrayed in the series. The idea of "Don't stop dancing" was originally given to Bojack from his mother in the scene where he didn't want to sing the lollipop song, but Beatrice had told him that nobody cared about how he felt. She had trauma from her life, passed it to Bojack and he eventually passed it down to the closest person he had to a daughter, Sarah Lynn.

@@corneliahanimann2173 Hi there, please do not apologize for being curious. I enjoy questions and people that wish to learn. As for your question, it's hard to say as I've never experienced sleep paralysis before. That might be something worth researching on those that have had near death experiences. All I know was that I was absolutely terrified. All I could think about was running away from it to get better but there really is no running from death. I took too many pills, I couldn't change that. I remember maybe an hour after I had them I tried to throw them up. Well, all I threw up was blood, that was when the terror truly set in. I knew I screwed up and I didn't know what to do. I started feeling very sleepy so I got in the shower so I could keep myself awake. I knew I would pass out soon and that would probably be the last of me. I'd die alone in the shower, trying so desperately to undo what was already done. My skin started to turn yellow, showing signs I had overdosed and things were to turn. Luckily, someone took me to the health center in town who told me I needed a blood test immediately and transferred me to a hospital outside of town. All I could see was my yellow arms and hands. I wore my boyfriend's jacket at the time so if I did die I would have him around me. He lives overseas unfortunately, so I could not see him during that time. After getting to the emergency room I basically gave up, I was so tired. I remember when I got into my room poison control was called, I don't think they realize they were on speaker phone because they said I was fucked due to how I took the pills. I remember that so clearly, how blunt she was and how I felt knowing I really messed up. Luckily, somehow, I was okay. The doctors said I dodged a bullet somehow, probably because I was young and didn't drink much or do drugs really so my liver was healthy. A lady came in and talked to me, seeing if it was a suicide attempt. It was but I've been in this position before and I couldn't afford to be sent to another mental hospital, so I lied. I went back to work not the next day but the day after that. I started feeling really sick and I did confess to my boss at the time as I was scared. I ended up having to take leave for a few months to fix myself. It was mandatory and not my choice but it was nice though I didn't get paid which made paying rent hard. I almost even got kicked out for trying to kill myself but that's a story for another day. My apologies for the long story telling, I know that wasn't what you asked for. Though, I've never told anyone online this before. I suppose I just wanted to get it out. I also want to let people know that even as much as they might want the release of death, as much as they want to move on from this life, as much as they want it all to end, they don't. I've tried to kill myself many times and never got this close. I cannot stress enough how much fear will be felt and how you will just want to reverse it, undo what was done. Anyways, I won't take up anymore of your time. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to tell a bit of my story, it was nice. I hope you are well and I hope your sleep paralysis eases up, I can only imagine what that must be like. Please take care and thank you again, never be afraid to ask questions! 💙

I like how not only the way Bojack "dies" is forshadowed by the season 3 episode, but that Mister Pubertator is the one to not leave him "drown". I mean, everybody else distanced themselves from Bojack, but not PB, the very one man who pulled him out of water. He still wants to be in his live no matter what. In “The View from Halfway Down,” for me the black tar that dripped and Bojack spit up was the first sign of confirmation that he was dying. Yeah, the episode makes it seem like a dream with how nonchalant he is remarking he’s had this dream before and is calm up until the show, but seeing the black tar is what started my anxiety. Warning for heavy stuff: I work with animals, and have been present when some have passed away for various reasons. Something that can happen with a dying lethargic animal, that is refusing to drink or eat anything, to get up or acknowledge anything or anyone, that has lost the will to live-they sometimes spit up or vomit a black tar like substance (in actuality, it’s digested blood). It’s unnerving since it’s a sign that they’re dying and almost nothing can save them at that point. I don’t know if the writers did this on purpose, but having that substance be the sign for death gave me absolute chills and I was not okay for the rest of the episode the moment I saw it.

Sometimes bad things happen to you, and even though you want to tell people, you can’t bring yourself to do so, especially with the sort of attention it would bring to you. When 'Mr blue' comes on at the end I can't help but cry absolute buckets, I've seen the ending about 3 times and it's such a cathartic release for me, both of sadness that their close bond is most likely over (Diane and BoJack) but also hopeful that they've both learnt a valuable lesson through each other that they can carry through the rest of their lives. A lot of people like to say that the "real" ending was the view from halfway down but if that was the real ending it would be an incredibly pessimistic and depressing way to end an already depressing show... It would essentially mean that suicide is the answer to your problems, this ending instead, is a perfect example of how life is in many ways; chaos, and you can't really control the outcome, there are contless immeasurable parts of life that are always moving and sometimes it's unpredictable, it's sad, hard, unforgiving, but it can also be happy, and rewarding at times - life is a bitch but you keep living. BoJack brought me to the myth of Sisyphus a few years ago and to the idea/ philosophy of existentialism, but there are two ways to look at the myth, you can look at Sisyphus as a man who is in pain and every day he is burdened with the responsibility of pushing that boulder up the hill only to then be filled with dissapointment to watch his hard work fall away as the boulder goes back down the hill and he has to start again... Or, the way I now see the Myth, imagine Sisyphus is happy, imagine he has embraced the absurdity of his situation and found out a way to enjoy his plight and even though he knows the boulder will roll back down the hill and he has to start again he finds it humourus, you find a way to embrace that life has peaks and dips, just like the boulder, but you keep going and you keep pushing that boulder up the hill, you'll find a way to enjoy each step, even if it can be hard. I love BoJack Horseman so much, genuinely a life-changing experience and a beautiful piece of art. Very thankful of the whole team who brought this project together. Great work on your guys part to complete this as well, I'm a musician currently working on an album and I know just how hard it is to complete a big project so I admire your guys endurance with putting this whole thing together, you definitely have more drive than myself. I remember watching season 1 with my sisters back in 2014. We thought it was just a funny show, but when we finally got to the end of season 1, one of my sisters said "If we don't change that's going to be us" and we just laughed it off. We had a lot of trouble growing up. From being homeless, foster care, abuse, lol even going through a murder of a family member. Sooo safe to say we had hurdles. So watching these characters battle with their demons and addictions had us glued. And I'll never forget. July 2017 was when I finally left my shitty marriage. Two months later Diane left hers. Over the course of my separation and healing I was watching Diane do the same. And when she finally found someone healthy, and who is the perfect partner for her, I met mine. I've never grown with a character before. I've never felt such a connection to a show before. I can't express how much this show means to me. I eventually got a tattoo of a pocket watch with "Times arrow neither stands still nor reverses. It merely marches forward." Safe to say I'm no longer on that path of addiction and self destruction. And it happened at the same pace of this show. I almost feel like I owe the writers. Thank you for your breakdowns of this show!

Also Bojack didn't ruin dr champ. I mean look how the guy was chugging the vodka. He was looking for an excuse to fall off the wagon and despite what 12 steps will tell you, you don't ruin your recovery by drinking, especially if it's accidental. But if you're already in a vulnerable position you take this small incident as a reason to completely ditch sobriety and blame it on someone or something else. I've seen it happen and I've been through it myself. Bojack is not to blame, even if he brought the bottle.

But in a way Bojack could be seen as responsible, becoming a burden to Dr Champ - it's little things like this, tiny daily stresses, that can make maintaining sobriety seem more and more impossible every day. You are so right he was looking for an excuse to fall off the wagon - if he was committed to sobriety he definitely wouldn't have chugged. Hell, after that night he would've started going to meetings to hold himself accountable. But he stays off the wagon. Maybe it's not Bojack but his personal life as a whole but I do believe Bojack as a patient massively contributed to his stress. As an addict I have had true sobriety and fake sobriety. True sobriety is the desperate clinging onto your healthy life. Fake sobriety is pretending you are truly sober but secretly waiting for the sign you should self destruct and go back to your quick fix. Dr Champ was definitely exhibiting the behaviour of the latter. To summarise: agree

In all the other flashbacks, Bojack is pressured into drinking by someone else- Sharona, college guys, then his dad. Then, it’s finally revealed that the first time he ever drank was all his choice, symbolizing the fact that he can’t blame anyone else for his alcoholism. It’s all him.

I genuinely think Bojack probably had drunk alcohol before that final flashback. The way he didn't even flinch when he gulped down a solid mouthful? I don't think that anybody can take their first drink like that, especially not a 4 y/o. Granted, I've never had vodka, but I remember sneaking a sip of beer when i was little and absolutely reeling at its flavor. So I almost wonder if Beatrice would slip Bojack some booze when he was really small, maybe to stop his crying, and Bojack can't flashback to that because he was simply too young to remember? I wouldn't put it past either of his parents tbh

Even though Hollyhock cutting off Bojack felt like a gut punch, it was for the best and Im glad with the endings everyone got. Bojack having a bittersweet ending I think, is perfect. He indeed gets punished for his past deeds but it doesn't have to be the end of him and ironically his life long calling was something in between being an acting teacher at a college and giving lessons to prison inmates. @i wake up and boom im a rat I think because people didn't see it from her perspective on Bojack which was more limited vs what as the audience saw in him. Her writing him a letter saying she cut him off is a more respectful sendoff whereas she could've just ghosted him forever and left him confused. It's relatable to me in that I was close to a girl who overtime grew more and more toxic but I would keep forgiving her in hopes that I could "fix her" but realized that I wasn't making myself happy and didn't like being stressed dealing with this person. So I simply texted her one day and said we shouldn't see each other anymore and that was that and I moved on

Ive long had the theory that Bojacks dad went the way Secretariat went, by his own hand, and Beatrice just made up the whole death by duel story either out of pride, to protect Bojack in her own twisted way (“how did he die by gunshot?” “It was a duel”) or both. He had just released his book, the book he dedicated his whole life to writing, and it was critically panned hard! I theorize this sent him in a spiral, wondering what the point of his whole life was. The one thing he dedicated it all to was a failure. The thing that was supposed to make it all worth it (much like Bojacks Oscar goal) It adds an extra layer to the blend of Secretariat and his dad, as well as the poem

this would make sense in the context of the themeing for other characters, too. sarah lynn said she always wanted to be an architect. but instead she was forced to dedicate her life to hollywood from a young age. diane said she always wanted to write a book about her trauma to help people, because otherwise her damage wasn't "good damage", it was "just damage". she dedicated a portion of her life clinging onto that goal, and when she couldn't make the book, it made her spiral. bojack always had dedicated goals. first it was starring in a movie about secretariat as secretariat, and then getting an oscar (or a nomination), and so on. and every time he thought that thing would make him happy, he came out empty, because...if he peaked, then what's even left for him to do next? so i could see his dad going down a similar path. dedicated his life to ONE thing that he thought would bring him happiness, but in the end, it didn't pay off.

One hidden thing I loved was in the final episode when Bojack is talking with Todd and you can see the obvious footsteps in the sand. And as they reflect on what they were and what their future can hold, the footsteps wash away. • @linksora7120

The final episode left weird feelings for a lot of people but for me it was even better than the view from halfway down because it summarises the whole show in one phrase: “you do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself around, THATS what it’s all about”. You do things in life and then you turn yourself around and that’s the important part, how you change and grow from the things you’ve said or done in your life. It’s a funny metaphor but it honestly sticks with me to this day for how true this phrase is. We have all made mistakes that stick with us forever and how we grow from those situations affects how our lives go moving forward. If the show had ended with bojack dying I think it would have felt to me like he just escaped everything and there was no more consequences or ways to learn from everything but by having him live go to prison and then have his final sendoff to every important character, it felt like a real goodbye to his past life and how moving forward he will improve himself for the future like this time he will be better because his ties to his past are now one by one fading

I'm happy that Bojack survived. As someone who identifies with his life a little too much, I didn't want the show to go out on such a hopeless note. One of my favorite things about this show is that it's so incredibly respectful of all the serious topics they undertake. I love that they show Bojack turn his life around and that he eventually is held accountable for his actions. But, how far does that go? At what point has someone atoned? And are there people that are too far gone? The person I used to be was horrible to everyone in his life because he was drowning and couldn't help but drag others down to stay afloat. I've spent years growing and changing. Many people are gone from my life forever and I don't begrudge them that. It makes sense and it's good to be held accountable, it's the only way to grow. But I still live with a lot of guilt that causes me to take a step back or two. I wonder, after all my attempts to get better, do I still deserve to suffer? I know I'm a much better person now but that doesn't undo the past. How could anyone in the future accept me if they knew it? I wrestle with these things a lot. At the end of this show, if Bojack had died, I would've wondered if that was the only way to go, the only way to do justice. Is that the only viable path for people like me? But he lived. And I've lived despite my admittingly half-assed attempts. I graduated college, moved back into to my parent's house, and live a much more stable and healthy life. But I'm also a total NEET, afraid that I'll backspiral if I go back out into the world. I can't stay here forever though. I'm just happy my parents haven't kicked me out yet. I have had my fair share of Diane's, Todd's, and even a Charlotte or 2. I'm cool with some, less cool with others. That's how it has to be. Maybe that was way too much to put out on the internet but it felt good. Maybe this would be interesting to hear for someone, I dunno.

This show has helped me in so many ways. I've done some bad things to people in my life due to alcoholism (not anything near as bad as Bojack) and I always fluctuated between feeling paralyzing guilt for the things I did and the mindset that everyone does shitty things so it doesn't matter if I did something bad too. This show helped me realize that there are no good or bad people, just people. I've done bad things and it's not okay, but I've genuinely made changes so that I wont hurt anyone that way again. That doesn't undo anything I've done, but it means that I don't have to live life hating myself for things I'm trying to fix. It also helped me realize that life doesn't always have a resolution. I would like nothing more than to genuinely apologize and convey my true remorse to those people I hurt and have that resolve the damage they have from my actions. But some of them don't even want to speak to me so I haven't even had the chance to apologize, I likely never will and that's okay, I'm not owed that opportunity and I hope they find their own happiness in spite of my actions. I hate saying that I identify with Bojack because I really want to hate him. But by doing that I'd be hating myself and that's not going to help anybody. I'm glad I got to a healthy point before I had the time to do worse things on the level of Bojack, but it scares me that the potential for that kind of destructive behavior is inside of me.

My favorite send-off just has to be PC’s. It’s so good to see her achieve everything she wanted for the whole show by having a loving relationship, a child, and a good work-life balance. It’s so fun to hear that Judah is mainly a stay-at-home dad because the only thing he’s ever done for PC is make her life easier and taking care of Ruthie is the best way he can do that now. Also, of course, its amazing to see so much closure for Bojack and PC, probably my favorite friendship in the show (sorry Todd yours is also baller.) We hear how Bojack wanted to take care of Princess Caroline like she always did for him, and gives her some solid advice in or out of the pretend context. Also, the line “i like it better this way” or smthn along those lines cements that PC doesn’t live for others anymore. Sure, a sitcom ending would have made Bojack happy, but the fake-wedding she had made Her happy. (Also sidenote but i love earlier in the series when Bojack finds Hollyhock’s mom, because in the same ep PC does something for herself. Its a perfect dichotomy of their characters with flip-flopping their actions. Bojack is going out of his way for someone else where PC does something to make herself happy. I dont rember what it is but it makes me happy)

And...why would hollywoo story be important for the characters? yeah, you could give lenny a little bit of dept, but he's such a secondary character that vanessa gecko, judah, margo martindale or any similar character would add just as much to the show, specially at this point of the plot, and most of them would be more entertaining. In short, those sounds like, "we are running out of ideas" plots to pad out the needed episodes for a full season

I've actually thought a good amount about the part in the dinner where Crackerjack says most of his kills were friendly fire, because I don't think he actually did, but the actual reason why he said it in Bojack's dream is actually a lot more interesting. It always felt weird to me because Bojack never met him, and thus would never have been told by Crackerjack that he had multiple friendly fire kills. I considered that maybe Beatrice had told him, but she never saw him after he shipped out either, and would not have known. I also thought about how perhaps Honey had told Beatrice, and then she told Bojack, but we see nearly all the interactions they have between Honey reading the letter, her downwards spiral, and her subsequent lobotomy. After she has had her lobotomy, I highly doubt she would ever even mention Crackerjack, if she even could post lobotomy, much less the fact that he had killed his fellow troops, because of how much she had loved him. In addition, she especially wouldn't want to ever think about how his death wasn't even for the greater good or honorable even. Another huge reason why I don't think he actually did is because of military policies. Crackerjack supposedly killed multiple allies during his time serving, presumably accidentally. This means that he was probably killed actually in the line of duty, meaning he was not discharged after either of the incidents, which I just feel like they would at least have put him away from battle in a support role after the second time, if not the first, but more likely would have discharged him. The final nail in this coffin is that the military would most likely not want to tell mothers if their children had done something like this, and also died in combat. It was real military policy to tell mothers that their children had died heroically, and their sacrifices were not in vain so that American mothers, fathers, and loved ones in general would not suffer so much. Now that you know why Crackerjack didn't actually have any friendly fire kills, you may be wondering why Bojacks 'memory' of him says that he did. I believe there's one of two things that caused this to happen, and both, in my opinion, are equally probable, and pretty similar. The first is that, after Honey had her lobotomy, effectively cutting off any love Beatrice might receive from her, she may have developed a resentment towards Crackerjack, as he received their mother's love and praise, while because of him she would never get that. I would also not be surprised if lobotomized Honey sung Crackerjack's praises often, contributing to the growing resentment in Beatrice. This likely resulted in her creating a false memory of him having these kills, and possibly telling this to Bojack sometime, meaning to Bojack it was true, because he had no other source to go off of. The second thing that may have caused it is a bit more interesting, but still similar. In this scenario, Beatrice instead put Crackerjack on a pedestal, and thus would constantly be comparing Bojack to him throughout Bojack's childhood. This would lead to a false memory of Crackerjack having this one major flaw developing in Bojack through his developmental years so that he could feel like he was better than him even though his mom would always say otherwise. Of course this would not be a conscious development, and thus Bojack would never know it wasn't true or ever consciously think about the fact, and Crackerjack is able to confidently say this at the dinner table. I believe this was another attempt by Bojack's subconscious, who of course never knew Crackerjack and would need to fill in a lot of gaps to have him at this death dinner, to make Bojack feel like he wasn't inferior. I feel like this may be one of the things they wanted to touch on in the planned season 7, and I feel it would have made for an interesting arc and a good episode where it'd be the main focus. Let me know what you think please :)

i actually finished watching this show the day i got out of the psych ward. i can remember watching most of season 6 while in the emergency room after my attempt. i can honestly say this show changed me. i saw myself in several characters. diane, bojack, penny, etc. it scared me that i could relate to some negative aspects of these characters. it made me want to get better. yeah, recovery can suck, but i started to realize that maybe it was worth it. the view from halfway down in particular stuck with me. i could relate to that feeling considering what i did before watching that episode. and god was it a gut punch. i cant say this show “cured” me or whatever, and i still struggle daily, but it really did change how i view my life, trauma, depression, and suicide attempt.

I think that the point of that scene where Mr. PB was letting Pickles go to Joey Pogo is that the relationship did actually end there and Mr. PB was aware of this. I think he knew that Pickles genuinely loved Joey Pogo and that letting her go would effectively end their relationship. However, Mr. PB lets her go anyway because he realises that that's what will make Pickles happy and that he's now okay with being by himself. I think this is why Mr. PB saying that Pickles broke up with him was a throwaway gag, because the relationship actually ended in that one scene before. I still feel like the plot was kinda stretched out and rushed at the same time, but I actually really liked this specific part of the plotline because it subtly showed Mr. PB finally listening to what Pickles wants, even if she doesn't know it herself yet. That could just be me looking way too hard into these crazy dogs though

I HATED the ending when I first watched it. Like, during the last shot, I was legitimately frustrated. No grand finale, he survived the view from halfway down, and the last few lines is just an easy callback to the beginning of the series when they sat on the roof. I was so angry that it spoiled the entirety of the show before it. But...I couldn't stop thinking about it. For weeks. How would I have written it? What was supposed to happen to Bojack? Why was I really that angry when the show was clearly a masterpiece? I felt, uneasy. Off balanced actually. So I watched the whole show again. And I watched the last episode a few times. And realized that the show said something so honest, so hurtful, that I was unwilling to see it before. I've hurt a lot of people in my past. I had a fractured relationship with my mom. I've been fired or quit every job I've had. I'm a womanizer. I even watched a girl OD right in front of me, the story of Sarah Lynn still haunts me. I saw so much of Bojack in myself. The ways we victimized ourselves, the ways we would double down, the ways we would lie and say we were "working on it", the ways we just couldn't move on with our lives. That was the big one. And, in a way, I came to watch the show for answers. I wanted to know if my life would end at the bottom of a pool. I hoped it would. And then...he survived. He comes out of jail and everyone is just living their life, and he's just there. No revelatory ending, you just keep on living. And I saw my future in those last shots. I had reached out like a month before to my high school sweetheart, 15 years after we've seen each other. I told her I still thought of her. She said she hopes I can move on and she's happily married. I'd been working in retail for almost a decade, frozen in a position while my peers were promoted or even worse, leaving to start their careers. My past friends moved while I stayed in the same city, flings I had were all with families now, my sisters grew up into outstanding women. I was forgotten while the world moved on without me. And I saw that in the last episode. Everyone in their own way tells Bojack they wish him the best, but ultimately they have their life without him. And at the end, when even Diane is ok with walking away, I knew that Bojack Horseman spoke a deeper truth, and a deeper tragedy, than any dramatic finale could perform. I knew I wouldn't die alone...I would live alone if I stayed on my path. And while the ending wasn't as hard hitting as New Mexico, or The Sugarman House, or even The View From Halfway down before it (that episode needs to go into The Louve or something), it's given me a life of contemplation and examination. And also gave me what I consider the greatest finale of all time to the best show of all time.

Diane wrote the story and the representation she wished she had, and truly needed, as a child. She wanted to make an impact, but usually failed to understand the scale that worked with her needs. She didn't have to go to Cordovia to make a difference. She didn't have to end world hunger, or take down the establishment in Hollywood, or expose the horrific actions of others. She gave future Dianes a character to represent them.

I really appreciate that despite admitting to laziness and procrastination, y'all put a lot of effort into the final analysis on Bojack Horseman. I started to watch Bojack Horseman in June of this year. It was two months after my dad died. At first I wasn't watching it consistently, cuz I thought it would be unhealthy of me due to already suffering with depression pre and post my father's death. So after a small hiatus, I decided to binge watch the whole series. I can honestly say that I love it so much. I completely understand parts of the show not making sense, being odd, but I also felt some moments being close to home. A little too close to home. As I was watching the show, I decided to watch your reviews for every season. As I finished season six. It took a while for me to cry. I was in utter silence over the ending, and the journey I took watching this series. My mother was really worried that I would fall under a greater depression and end up doing something that would hurt a lot of people. But I didn't. In some ways, I hate that I watched this series understanding some aspects of the show I could relate to. But, I'm also glad that I could learn and grow to be better in the future. I'm also just glad I saw these reviews, their funny and show a great analysation. In the end, IT WAS NICE WHILE IT LASTED.

Schaff is the reason I checked out Bojack (after watching the entirety of his analyses for seasons 1-5 unfortunately) and it’s safe to say that the show has irreversibly impacted me and how I go about living my day to day life. The subtleties and outright boldness of Bojack Horseman made an experience that I can’t say any other show has ever rivaled for me. Binging it over the course of a couple weeks back in August was an experience I’m so grateful for and one that made me feel so sad when it finally came to an end. I haven’t been able to shut up about this incredible creation since and now it’s nearly December. Stupid Piece of Sh*t and The View From Halfway Down are two episodes that displayed concepts around mental health and the human experience so gorgeously, that I’ve ranted to friends who have never seen the show about these two episodes to the point that they could probably recite the plot themselves. I truly love this show, for more than just Todd, even though he is truly the best character to ever bless Netflix’s platform. Thank you for making this series, your analyses of Bojack Horseman introduced me to this fantastic show and I think it has truly done this magnificent piece of work justice! I’m so excited to finally see the takes and opinions you have for the final season, especially now that I have finally seen and experienced the season before your analysis anyway :)
