It blows my mind how the Black community pushed back at Bill Cosby's movement to reunite and reinvent ourselves towards a more positive image. You'd be surprised how many people hate him because they believe "The Cosby Show" was a fantasy portrayal of Black households, his stance against the N-word, and against baggy jeans. Yet, Cosby is the reason some of us went to HBCUs, literally and figuratively thanks to his donations and "A Different World." When no one else had faith in us, Cosby was telling us you can do anything 😂

Prosecutors have a lot of power. Especially since after the war on drugs when a Republican Congress and anti-black public began calling out "activist judges" under slogans of crime control. Prosecutors understand their power, like journalists also understand their power. It was never meant for Cosby to go to prison for long, but every intention to teach him an old lesson like Black preachers and uppity N's strung high in the middle of the night swaying under an oak tree. Once you understand this, you will stand in support of Cosby because pointing a finger returns four back at you. We are in this together whether we want to believe it or not.

Honestly, I think Cosby was right about the perpetuation of ignorant and harmful stereotypes about and by the black community. It honestly has brainwashed generations of kids and it will continue until we have this convo about why when most of the time a black person wants to create something it always has to be overseen by execs & writers who think they know what the black experience is but it's always rooted in negative stereotypes. There are rappers who have said that when they hit the scene they wanted to do more enlightening and pioneering work but the execs in power wanted to capitalize on gang & drug culture so they would force their hand and change an MC's whole image and mindset. Actions like that have a ripple affect on a community and it's people. Fun fact: White people were the majority of crack addicts but if I say "crackhead" what do you envision? Someone black, very poor looking, a gaunt sickly black woman, a fucked up looking black kid, and I bet you don't picture a white person? The police weren't policing predominantly white areas, just the black & latino hoods. You may have never seen a real crack addict but your perception lies within what has been reproduced, re-envisioned and fed to the masses. That's how deep this social engineering shit goes with perpetuity of images & media and that's just one instance. The worse thing is we started believing in the lies and life begins to imitate art. It's all by design.

By 2014, there was no one left in power at NBC who had been there in 1992. So your statement makes absolutely no sense & doesn't hold water. You're saying the powers that be FROM 1992 who no longer work for NBC waited OVER TWENTY YEARS to get back at Cosby??? 🤣🤣🤣 Ok👌👍🤣🤣 U know how ridiculous you sound?? Furthermore, at the time the allegations started coming out in full force, Cosby had a development deal with NBC to star in a new sitcom for them Grow a brain & then try using it Oh, by the way - you do know that NBC doesn't have to sell to anyone they don't want to sell to, right?? 🤣🤣🤣

It seems Mr. Cosby didn't play by "the rules" because "the rules", whatever they were, were skewed. Still, after all that has been done to try to defame him and besmirch his character, his life's work of endeavoring to make the world a better place than he found it, continues to shine. His effort shines in the lives of people he has helped throughout his fifty or sixty year career. It shines through the millions of lives he has impacted through his work as an actor and comedian. It shines through his unfailing support for teachers and for education at every level. It shines through the projects to which he chose to attach his name. It shines through his strong encouragement of higher education. It shines through his unfaltering example of dignity and bearing and courage and fortitude in adversity. He shines! And the longer they keep him locked up, the brighter he shines. Till today, his programs remain the only ones that you can turn on in the presence of any audience, and not have to monitor the content. And still be well entertained. That's quite a feat!

Man, Bill would have taken us to another level, with the knack that he had to make clean comedy with a message for empowerment. He had thug niggas coming off the block to tune in on Thursday nights to get a glimpse of that positive imagery. They railroaded that man.

Mr. Cosby was right about black comedians and the media. Rappers, comedians, actors and actresses do a hugh disservice to their own communities and themselves. Who sells more records, an artist who's music people of all ages can listen to or watch or the artist who music, movies are so profane that only adults and adults who don't mind profanity will consume?

Tbh Cosby was right about the direction of the portrayal of blacks on tv and in comedy. He could have handled it a different way when interacting with the young black comics and actors of the 90s

this is hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Cosby tried to buy NBC back in 1992. Allegations didn't start coming out about Cosby in full force until after 2014, OVER TWENTY YEARS after he had interest in buying NBC. 🤣🤣🤣

I love Bill’s situation because it exposes the weaknesses of Black people. Look at how responded as a whole when the accusations came.👀 but we’re Hebrews, Muslim, Christian, Catholics, gangstas and so on. Yet we only stand up against each other, never unified smiling at death with one goal in mind, US🔥
