Just got the E8’s and yes they blow away the Airpods for sound but they ought to for the price.. I’ve used Airpods for a year and all things considered the only negative is an aesthetic one. They look stupid, and they sound just OK, but for durability, multi device connection, battery , and portability they’re very solid. I find them great for running with the watch. E8’s are premium but they feel far more fragile and less weather resistant. No such thing as the perfect headphone!

They did release some new ones that are more weather/sweat resistant, not sure if it feels more fragile though and there case is quite big

E8 is much prettier, I own the H9i and E5 as well, I still picked up a pair of AirPods instead of E8. I like how they are integrated in the Apple eco system, and I like the comfort better too. And I like the AirPods sound better when it comes to talking and listening to podcasts.

Airpods - really monstrous .. Reminiscent of snot from the ears or noodles .. (

I recently lost my AirPods, and got the Bose soundsport free. They have much better isolation, and better sound. Fit better in ear. Negatives include video not syncing, and poor phone call sound. AirPods has great phone calls, especially with both in. I considered the E8 too, but from reading seems like the Bose are close.

+John book it seems to be more about the ear tip that fits right into your ear than the shape. I heard for some the overall shape fits right in but for me the ear tip is good enough tight fit

Great video. Excellent delivery. I am thinking of buying these as a walk around and in the gym I.E.M. Sweating is not really a problem, weight lifting and gym air conditioned. My concern is security, don’t want them departing during a set of Squats. Do they really fit well, assuming correct tips? My current HI RES listening I.E.M.’S are Beyerdynamic Xelento’s. I have yet to hear better. Keep up the great work.

+boeingdriver29 thanks, they fit rather well, mainly the strength of them staying in your ear is to do with the rubber tip but partially settling on your ear ‘bottom platform’. I noticed sometimes though when you make a sudden head tilt downwards you feel the ‘vacuum reaction’ where the feel of pressure changes in your ear and the sound quality changes because of this pressure change. I am just saying this to protect my honesty/reputation but when it comes to squats which is quite a tough workout, this could also happen to you.

I own the AirPods, Bose Soundsport Free, and. The E8’s. I am returning the E8’s due to lousy connectivity and drop outs when using them in and about in NYC, terrible and janky touch controls, and horrific mic. Yes, I did update the Beoplay app and the firmware to latest versions. In terms of signal breakup, I all needed to do is put my iPhone in my back pocket, jacket breast pocket, or even my front pocket and turn my head left or right to get the buds to skip. The sound of the E8’s are really good if they work properly. As far as the Bose Soundsport Free’s are concerned, I have had none of the issues with connectivity whatsoever and the sound quality is just a bit below the E8’s most likely because the Bose don’t have as much sound isolation as the E8’s. I am going to keep the Bose since they just work better all around then the E8’s. As far as the AirPods are concerned, they leak too much sound and require that I maximize the iPhone volume just to hear a typical podcast during my daily commute in NYC on trains and the streets of NYC. I keep the AirPods around to use around the house or if charging the Bose is not completed. Such a sound drop off when I put the AirPods in compared to the Bose and the E8’s. Additionally, I find not having sound volume controls on the buds themselves is a major PIA, and yes I do own an Apple Watch but that’s not very convenient when wearing things like winter coats and gloves. So my quest for the ultimate totally wireless solution continues. If Apple could somehow design a pair of future pair of AirPods with a bit more sound isolation, and include a volume gesture, they could potentially replace what I have now. Until then, the Bose Soundsport Free’s are indeed the best of the lot in my experience when it comes to sound quality, connectivity, battery life, and overall performance.

Why everyone is taking earbuds to compare with airpod? Like airpod is the gold standard to compare with, actually all wireless earbuds nowadays should be much more better than airpods for sure, airpod not even should be in the comparison list. Oh yea, why airpod should compete with is galaxy earbuds. Beoplay should compare with mw07, momentum wireless and ect.

People are free to purchase what they want. I’m sure you know this. Because you don’t understand why. That shouldn’t be that person short coming. And to suggest So is rather arrogant don’t you think.

I checked official site of aptx and found out, what E8 does`t supported by aptx. So the words from officical site beoplay "High quality sound", "E8 is effortlessly high-tech" are just marketing and not truthful.

E8 is good for songs, but it is literally IMPOSSIBLE to use it for phone calls, which is a huge drawback... On songs it works perfectly, however on calls it adds the outside sounds to the conversation, making it literally impossible for the other person on the line understand what I am speaking (they here more the ambient sound than my own voice). I’ve spoken to the support of B&O and they mentioned this is due to the transparency settings, which I cannot turn off for phone calls. I believe they are wrong and there might be a way to solve this issue. Is anyone having this same problem?

How long does the transparency mode can last for on a full charge? Is it the same as using the product for Music ?

Lovejesusplz I think it’s a combination of sound quality and performance on the battery life of any earbuds that’s in the market which should signify the importance of this type of product. I haven’t seen any bad reviews on the iQbuds based on sound quality. Hopefully someone will do a comparison between the iQbuds and the b&o e8 just to see the pros and cons side by side.

Really I stopped wonder about earbuds, but the pro version from apple are better then those one (B&O E8). Who fall all the time (heavy core centered in the ear and compressed sound when on transparency mode). And for the style... Well all earbuds are douche but useful in their sens ^^

I hope you see my point about the ugliness of Airpods - they are such a cringe when I see people wearing them. It's like they are proclaiming 'Hey, I am geeky & rich, I don't care how you think about me'. Besides, if the sound quality is as same as the normal apple earphone, you will truly be amazed with the sound quality of Bang & Olufsen's E8 that you don't ever want to get back to the Airpod.

The bass response on the E8 is wonderful. .deep and rich. But lack sparkle in the top end.

SentinelPrimek The longer lasting hours isn't really that important, as they both have cases that charges them. The only way it would matter, if is you have a commute that lasts longer than 4 hours, which sounds unlikely. If you do, then it matters. Otherwise, it doesn't. Are you also remembering to factor in the superior sound of the Beoplay E8?

Haha great comparison about the Mercedes Benz and the B&O Play E8 for sports :))) I wouldn't use neither my new B&O Play E8 for sports/gym where I sweat nor my new GLE 500e MB for mud and offroad. It's a SUV yeah, but maximum what it sees is snow in St. Moritz and snow in some mountains here in Switzerland when I drive to the hotels there! :)))

The apple airpods and b&o both produce an OK sound... But both have their weak points. Apple has poor bass response but sound has more sparkle and are much more musical. The b&o E8 sounded flat and dull in comparison. The apples pair automatically with my Samsung and in 2 seconds....where as the E8 was a real faf. The apple was way more comfortable where as the b&o are large.... clunky and uncomfortable. I am a huge fan of B&o equipment but id give these a miss. I usually listen to Flac files through my sennheiser hd800s.

The E8s cost double and sound pretty much the same, with less listening time lol. I've tested both and I feel like the airpods fit better in the ear and dont fall precisely because some of its weight is carried downwards, and not in the bud itself like the E8s. Design has to do with ergonomics and functionality. You can't judge design based only on looks like you do here cause you just sound like you're defending your own personal preference for the fact that you saw people wearing different earbuds than you and your insecurities needed to be adressed. No I'm not a fanboy or don't even own the airpods because I need 0 letancy in my buds but I do appreciate good design, being a designer. Both are a waste of money, but E8s are double the waste.

I consider appearance of the product outwards also very important. Beoplay E8 is more settled and stealth than Airpod.

You don’t respect people who are into AirPods, really? Son, you have a lot to learn about respecting people who have different preferences or make different choices than you. AirPods don’t fall off, not even during exercise. They also don’t need 50 different ear tips because they just fit most ears right away. AirPods don’t have Bluetooth drop outs every 5 seconds and don’t require you to place your phone within 1 ft from them. AirPods have almost three times better battery life. If either of these is a fashion accessory, it’s the E8. Bang & Olufsen, once a great company, has lost its way. But that’s just my opinion. I still respect people who use B&O products.

Guys don't buy that crap ! It's pain to wear after 15minutes, it's quality is miserable, it does not working properly with your devices, stupid ass touch controls. My 15$ wired earphones from aliexpress are better than this absolute 300$ crap. I was watching a review before buying them, too. It just DOES NOT sound better than AirPods, instead it's a LOT WORSE. I mean A LOOOOT worse.

Lovejesusplz either you are a fan boy if this product either they are really ok for you and fits you well. I really have a pain on my ears, tried 4 type of earphone rubbers already. And no, I wore them for couple hours. During the week. Quality - that's the most disgusting expectation from such brand. I am heading to a dealer, and I hope it's factory defect.
