It's ok, however I feel more emphasis could have given on stroke play and defending,just like any other cricket movie all they believe in hitting sixes from the word go.Coming to bat in a test match and hitting three consecutive sixes is a bit hard to accept.Ratjer they could have shown how slowly and steadily he built his innings with some lovely drives and sticking to the crease.Just like you say in every video singles and doubles are for losers,her as well the same has been repeated.

@@richikdeb I agree. And that was strange decision from the director considering that in original movie, they have shown him taking singles and doubles atleast in final match. Here, very few clips of Shahid running were shown

3rd point is most accurate

Main reason for the failure of film is availability of Hindi dubbed version on KZread. In Kabir Singh it was not the case , Arjun Reddy was not dubbed in Hindi , neither it was available free on KZread.

The Hindi dub was nothing compared to the original Telugu version. They cut out an entire emotional scene and totally changed the meaning of many emotional dialogues.

Afridi scored century in 36 balls in 1996.Viv Richards scored century in 56 balls that to in a test match So anything can happen in cricket in any era

I haven't watched Shahid's version, but when I saw the original Telugu jersey on Zee5, that exact thing caught me off, how can he so effortlessly middle the bat from ball 1 after not even stretching his bat once in 10 years, it was creative liberty but atleast showing singles for a first few balls to get into rhythm would have been the trick.

@@CovertIndian Got your point that in movies people usually create a unreal situation just to make the hero look bigger, cause people are not interested in normal stories, no one remembers an avg scoring match but people do remember a low scoring or a high scoring game, people want something uncommon. And no cricket movie has worked in india. Even Ms dhoni's biopic was just a super hit considering the hype it got as india had the World cup and all other movies on cricket are semi hit or avg or flop including lagan. Coming to my point there are many players who made big comebacks. Like imran khan came out of retirement to win the world cup, Ganguly came back after being removed as captain and being dropped from team for a year. Aashish nehra from no where got into the World Cup 2011 squad. if pravin tambe wouldn't have played ipl, people would have a similar comment saying what a crazy fictional story this is. Your point about the movies is correct Yet anything can happen in cricket.

@@fan6205 I get your point. But I wish they showed some rawness in Arjun just to lend some credibility to his game. I know many champion players have made comeback but know that most of them didn't stop playing cricket OR were away from cricket for short period. Here we see someone who hasn't even practiced in nets for 10 years, play in Sehwag mode right from match 1 and carry his team not only till Final, but all the way to Victory .. The way they nicely portrayed Arjun as a flawed family man, they could have portrayed him as a flawed cricket champion as well :)

357 in 47, I think they were inspired by 1991 Ranji final between Haryana and Mumbai.. the chase was fantastic.. mumbai lost narrowly.. so I dont think it was unrealistic..

Mumbai had roughly around 70 overs, far away from the 47 shown in the movie .. Yes, it did seem like a deliberate attempt to refer to that match, but if it was a tribute to that thriller, it deserved better execution.

@@anuragkumar-fm7hc I respect your opinion as well, but Shahid did look convincing in the movie NGL, but about the original one being better than Hindi remake, i agree for that.

I have watched the Original movie and wasn't able to connect with Story and Actors. Though Shahid has performed decently but it's of no match With Nani. Original movie brings out of emotions which is lacking in this version. Pravin tambe is a fantastic real life movie, you should definitely make a video on it. The best part is the emotional connect and acting of Shreyas talpade.

The reason why it's failed are: 1. People have already seen the original remake as it's already available in youtube 2. It was released when one of the most awaited movie KGF2 was released

It was 72 overs 299 needed, less than 6 runs per over which seems possible, 357 in 47 is absolutely absurd, eng vs zim test match will also make this happen

Also, I think people are just not interested in going to the theatres unless the movie is a larger than life, event sized movie after the pandemic since they would much rather watch the same movie from the comfort of their homes when they know that it would stream on an OTT platform soon.

Please make dedicated video on 83 or Kaun Pravin Tambe.. Both were really good movies❤️

I have a suggestion for you. You can make a video on box cricket league (BCL). I know its not a film but it is really inspired from Ekta Kapoor serials. You might make a video on it unless you face any copyright issues.

Due to continuous change of dates from August 2020 to April 2022.. Due to stiff competition from RRR and KJF he could not release it with them and 3 times covid hit jersey .. Shahid did his best but it's okay Wether a movie is on KZread or not if things are not going smooth things will effect your money making spree

Dubbing is alright, lekin movie ki maar di hai. I would go on to say it's a completely different movie

I didn't even like original jersey. It was just too much unrealistic heroism. The problem with portraying heroes in South movies is they go from 1 to 100 straight. The hero in jersey didn't play for 10 years and all of a sudden he became bradman.no struggle, no need to practice to get back to form, nothing needed.

I think I have got my facts right :) from different reports that I read, and especially one of Shahid's LIVE session where he clearly said after doing Kabir Singh, he didn't want to do another remake so he was initially skeptical of signing up for Jersey (which was actually first offered to him even before Kabir Singh released) he delayed signing for this movie, but eventually did it cause he believed the story should reach the wider audience. He even said later he was thankful that the Director Gautam waited for him so long ... I don't know which interview you saw and I think he meant that he approached the director eventually to sign the movie, after seeing the original

South dubbed movie lovers have watched these hit movies ahead of their announcement. Situation is different after COVID lockdown and SSR incident.

I use horrible because this movie mocks every other player in Arjuns team who is there on merit may be works harder than him is younger, but eventually every game there is just one man who has suddenly picked up the bat after 10 years and by running one lap of the ground can suddenly be as good as he was 10 years ago. At 35 the recovery is harder, injuries take longer to heal.. I feel when you spend 50 Cr on a movie, you should spend another 1 Cr on hiring a cricket expert rather than just copying everything scene to scene.

I don't know why "kaun pravin tambe" didn't got that much publicity or hype??

Regarding the last part where you talk about the unrealistic targets for cricket matches- while cricket fans might find it annoying, for the general audience I don't think they care that much about the target being realistic and film makers can amplify the stakes and action to the max. That's part of the masala we add in our entertainment. Look at RRR, KGF and other mass films, they amp up the mass scenes to the max- very little of what they do would happen in real life, why wouldn't they do the same in a sports based film?

I have different views on this. Amplifying the sports drama to max is more off convenient and lazy writing. I would say Lagaan is a perfect example here, which gets the cricket drama right. The villagers falter while playing, drop catches, bowl with strange bowling actions, bat with awkward stances, let emotions get better off them which costs them and yet produce moments of brilliance. I found the cricket action mostly believable (except for the 'no ball' creative liberty at the end) .. here we see Arjun go all guns blazing right from match 1, after not playing the game for 10 straight years , so as a viewer, I would surely believe in his heroics more if the chase was toned down a bit, and they could have done that, keeping the last 2 overs action as it is. Surely, wouldn't have impacted movie overall.

@@CovertIndian I agree with you, but you also know film-makers look to entertain, and the audience likes to be entertained. Unless they know the nuances of something, neither the creators or audience will know how accurate or authentic things are portrayed on screen (although the creators should be bothered to consult cricketing people for cricket, doctors for medical scenes, lawyers for courtroom scenes and so on). You can find many youtube videos where doctors, lawyers and other professionals critique the manner in which their profession is portrayed on the screen- yet many won't find their viewing experience impacted as they do not relate to those nitpicks (unless they also work in the same field, in which case that they will notice). So for a film makers they can go over the top with action scenes or cricketing action in this case, as long as they nail the emotional core of the character/ story and get people to like the character and root for them.

@@CovertIndian Unrealistic targets in cricket movies is a familiar gripe from you and i agree. It doesn't really add to the drama. I mean what are the stakes? Is the movie really going to make the protagonist lose? Even it is fictional, it has to be somewhat tethered to reality, to make the viewer invested. Anyhow at the back of our heads we know that the "hero" will conquer the unconquerable. 😁

There is a anime name Haikyuu. You might wanna see that. A great filmmaker never exaggerates. Can you imagine what would have happened if Spielberg exaggerated Saving Private Ryan? Oops I forgot that you don’t watch anything outside Bollywood films ( Except for a few South Indian ones like KGF, RRR etc). Watch Saving Private Ryan. I am a Malayali and our film industry has a lot of realism in the films they make (even Minnal Murali manages to be grounded for a superhero film) and I watch all kinds of Hollywood films too- and not much Bollywood these days. You think you have got a refined palate or something and that's cool, but different films are different canvases to sell different stories. And there is an audience for all kinds of content, including the ones you adore and what you call 'excrement'. This was such a broken film. Former ranji trophy player treated like chana mufli, especially when they have shown he was such a tremendous player. Then the usual drama of players hiding his 1 PAIR OF GLOVES, I'm a fast bowler and even I carry 2-3 pairs on an average everywhere. Then the no change in form even after such a big sabbatical. I actually loved Kaun Pravin Tambe & Shabash Mithu. Both of them had a bit of melodrama but it's an underdog story toh itna toh banta hai.

KZread waali baat maine bhi kahin hain, release date delay ki baat bhi ki hai PLUS no one can deny the impact of KGF2 as well on the release. Exactly which part are you talking about, that I didn't research? There have been movies from South in past, which have been broadcast on TV yet the remakes have been huge hits.

It was over-all nice the acting of Shahid was not bad may be the taste of Indian cinema is not sports cultural.

One of the prime reason of failure that It was released with KGF Chapter -2

Just because Kabir Singh worked, doesn't mean every remake will. Not every movie needs a remake.

In a Cricket loving nation when anybody make a movie on Cricket why they lack Cricket technicalities so much in the script....that's why most of the movies are laughable.....rare case : Kai po che, Kaun hai Tambe , Dhoni, 83 ...... If u see minutely, in most of the Cricket based movie the hero always hits either cover drive or leg side pe lappa or step out karke sidha six.....there is no variety of shots or different deliveries....except Hero other players are just Shit.... Last but not the least when Shahid will come out from that full of beard grumpy frustrated looking role....

Kaun he Praveen tambe? after watching it every cricket movie nothing. One more thing Jersey Telugu movie also flop movie commercially but critic's loved it.
