Most people don't admit it. It's half the reason people make old mistakes, that and the other half being people not willing to share solutions. Luckily, there are people like Jerry trying to change statistics.

I am not yet 74 and still riding. Jerry took me from riding at a DUFUS level to being able to easily do U-Turns on 2 lane country roads. Without Jerry, and his lovely wife Donna, I would probably be riding a trike. Almost anyone can become a very good rider if you use the slow riding techniques that Ride Like a Pro teaches.

First thing I did when I got my license was order the Ride Like A Pro USB drive and start practicing. Taking the class this weekend was outstanding. Jerry, you really helped me understand where I needed to modify my riding/practicing. I was training without really using the rear break. You ride like you train so you better train like how you want to ride. When you had me try and stay on your tail in the intersection it became obvious why I needed to develop my rear break skills. The Class and training was a ton of fun and worth every cent. Great Stuff Jerry Thanks Again!

Interesting to see someone with too much speed on the Pan American. It would seem the normal is going to slow and missing that sweet speed where you have more momentum keeping you up right. Glad to see the coarse content back, but enjoy the variety of your content.

I dropped it three times doing low speed maneuvering and got hurt each time. I now have a big fear of dropping my bike again. I try to use your 3 things, friction zone, head and eyes, and rear brake. I keep pulling in the clutch when I get into an Oh No moment. I know my low speed skills need a lot of work.

90% of your stopping force is in the front brake. Get in the habit of using both brakes to stop. Just make sure the handlebars are pointed straight ahead when you stop. At low speeds, when making turns, use rear brake only.

I recently got gifted my Dads Road King Classic. It's a custom built bike and literally in showroom quality shape with less thank 9000 miles for a 2007. My dad 6'3 I am 5'8..so already the bike needs to be adjusted. I can barely touch the ground with my tiptoes wearing boots with 1" soles. I use to ride crotch rockets years ago, but this is a really heavy bike and I am nervous about it being my first bike back in so many years. I'm debating buying a Katana 600 or something to start. I've ridden the bike before, but as a novice rider the bigger bike definitely makes me nervous. I am going to take a MSC for sure. Any advice. Should I just park the road king and get a lighter bike. Been looking at the reduced reach seat to help with the height. I saw the video where that helped your wife.

My wife has had several hip replacements. After the hip replacement 20 years ago, she was back riding in 3 months. With this last hip operation, 20 years later, it will be 6 to 8 months before she's back riding. If you are not familiar with the proper techniques and can't whip a u-turn in less than 24ft, You might want to stay off the bike for 6 months or more until you're ready to take some training. But of course, consult your doctor before getting back on the bike.

How bad are these guys messing up their bikes when they drop them at a very slow speed like that, Jerry? I suspect it’s more of an ego bruise than actual damage to the bike. Don’t you, or someone sell a kit that protects the primary and several other spots? I’ve got a ‘19 Slim that is completely bare (bare, as in bone stock) and in pristine condition, but I’d like to add some protection, “just in case”.
