Milk in the middle of hard drinking curdles in you like that joke did. I remember one bar that kept pint cartons of buttermilk in the walk-in. They made a variety of "Flips". I had a New York Flip.

One of those things is not like the other. Jesus man, champagne flutes? Eeeeew. I would much prefer the head of my deceased and beheaded enemies in my open palm, it's just that they always need a bunch of food-safe silicone to seal off those damn eye holes and jaw holes. No hate on big gulps though, those are always great for vodka.

Stemless martini glasses are the best! Would highly recommend. Rather than a stem, it has a little nub area at the bottom which gives all the benefits of a stem without it being top-heavy and easy to tip.

It's because of this series of videos that I know what drinks I like. From building the home bar to trying the showcased cocktails, I have become a true rogue in the drinking scene. Plus, I sound super classy when I order an Aviation. It's almost like I'm hacking some system or something...

The urban legend I've always heard about the martini glass was that it rose to popularity during prohibition because they made it super easy to dispose of your drink when you got raided by the feds.

Trevor looks so ashamed of Brian and Jason at 4:34 and 8:16 is definitely questioning his life choices and can they really be that uninformed

In Sweden, we actually have different words for a "one and one" drink and a drink with multiple ingredients. The first is called a "grogg", while the latter is called a "drink". The more you know!

I got lag on my video as Trevor said "thermal lag" and I thought it was a clever edit until I went back and rewatched it.

Not only do different shapes of glasses for different types of alcoholic beverage (beer, whisky, cocktail) but for wine different types of grapes are better served in specific stemware. This is why Reidel makes different glasses for Pinot Noir, oaked Chardonnay, Riesling etc. I’ve tested disbelievers on many occasions and they’ve all become convinced.

The Cocktail 'Martini' is made with either Gin or Vodka, and Vermouth. So an extra dry Vodka Martini which means no Vermouth at all, is a shot of Vodka, shaken and strained in a Martini glass. Sorry

Glassware can also be used to prime a drinker on flavor. E.G Stuff served in a martini or coupe tend to be primed as a more classy drink and other primes a delicate, more balanced or sophisticated taste, where a tiki glass will prime more tropical, pineapple and punchy flavors

Another FUUUUN fact about the brandy snifter, is if you lie the glass sideways and fill it. Once the liquid comes to the lip of the glass. That's the correct amount. Which I why I drink brandy out of a fishbowl with a handle crudely stuck on with epoxy.

I once sailed the GI Tract with General Colon Bowel. Spent a lot of time on the ships poop deck. Recorded my travels in my diarrhea. It was my turd tour of duty. Celebrated my birthday potty at a Tokyo bar. I thought I was going to go home with lovely Japanese lady I met there who said she loved me but she was a bit too fecal and left with my buddy instead. Felt like shit after that happened. Does that make me a stool for Love?

To be fair, a common theory about why you touch your glass to another's is because the Romans were paranoid about being poisoned so they would fairly forcefully tap each others' glasses so that if any one drink was poisoned, so would all the others. Just thought I'd say that after hearing your conversation about drinks spilling into another's glass when toasting at 8:40

so we didnt bring up how the champagne flute keeps the lowest point in the direct center so that the rate of decarbonation is slowed to one single stream of bubbles. thats like the coolest one outside the sniffer

I know it's kinda niche, but sad they didn't have an absinthe glass. They're super interesting to look at and once you know why it's shaped like that it makes complete sense (There's a second bulb that is the measure you should add the absinthe into before filling with ice water)

Fun fact, a shot glass is called a shot glass cause in the wild west days a glass of whiskey that size would be the same price as one bullet, so the people would go up to the bar, put a shot on the bar and would get a shot for it
