Why Are There So Many International Schools In Malaysia?

Ойын-сауық

Why are there so many international schools in Malaysia?
I interact pretty often with lots of different education-related communities in Malaysia (IGCSE Malaysia, A Levels Malaysia, International Baccalaureate Diploma Program Malaysia), and almost everyone I’ve talked to about the education question, when asked about where they want to send their kids, almost never responds that they want to a local government school.
Granted, this was the case even from when I was in school, but only recently did I start realising that people were even willing to take loans or to put themselves to great difficulty just to make sure that their children could go to international schools.
This led me to start investigating and understand this issue just a little bit better over the course of the next couple of days. And where did it lead me? I guess to here.
If you're wondering about the factors that drive the development of international schools in Malaysia at large, you may find this a useful video. Comments, suggestions, and thoughts are most welcome!

I like that you’ve raised up some interesting points that I should consider when planning for my children education. Good job for your content. On a side note, perhaps you can try minimise some hand gestures while taking, I almost leave when I was watching for the first few minutes😂

Oh, that's wonderful! One of my students used to teach there at some point. I'm not sure why you’re studying at that particular school, but I hope that you're enjoying your time there and that it is bringing you joy - thank you for watching this video and I hope that somehow as you watch what you see here that it’ll lead you to a brighter path step by step along the way :)
