Why Are There Prehistoric Shark Teeth In This British Quarry? | Ancient Tracks

The Time Team veteran continues his journeys down some of the UK's oldest trackways and roads. This time, he visits the Peak District, where he ventures along the Derbyshire Portway, which is believed to date from the Bronze Age, and can be traced from Mam Tor in the north of the county, through to the Hemlock Stone on the edge of Nottingham. Along the way, he examines a prehistoric shark tooth, shines a light in an abandoned railway tunnel and takes a tour of DH Lawrence's mountain retreat.

I would have enjoyed watching this video to it's conclusion but I tired of constantly adjusting the volume. My only conclusion is that all of the Journeyman audio mixers have retired and we are left with bare apprentices to do the work. Sad.

Yes it's very distracting. I can't watch it unfortunately. Something to do with the exclusive rights of the BBC and how to prevent sharing their documentaries I think

I’ll be going to Britain, for the first time, next year! It’s where all my ancestors are from, so it should be fun, and educational! I’ll be sure to stay away from Eldon hole 😂

That's a stupid question! So, apparently there was this guy named Noah, and he build this cool lookin canoe and the rains came and backed up all the sewers so anything that swam was able to travel more of the world, like, ya know, see st basil's cathedral and the Parthenon and didn't even have to pay admission, and then it was like, Sam shark said to Brenda shark "oh babe I think I'm having a heart attack" and then Sam died and like he floats to the bottom and it just happened to be right there and then someone came along and (I still can't believe) made a dumb statement and posted it. I hope I'm not typing over your thought level.
