Malaysians generally still believe the moon was split into halves and that a person can travel on a flying donkey to Jerusalem, and child marriages as young as 6 years old with an old camel is ok. Thats what is stopping progress. Until they realize child marriages are obscene, moon was never split and the man on the flying donkey was a religious conman, they will never progress.

92.5% of those who emigrated were non muslim professionals. The reason is in short they were non muslims or what the malays called as pendatang ( immigrants) or Kafirs or Type C or Type I. Many non muslim students who scored all A's were not given entrance into public universities therefore have to enter private universities and jobs overseas.

Lol. There are over 300,000 Singaporeans living overseas out of a 6 million populations. Malaysia has 1.8 million overseas populations out of 34.5 million populatoons. Which means Singaporeans are leaving Singapore more than Malaysia as a % of the total population. There are plenty of Thais, Filipinos, Indonesians, Mexicans, Indians, African diaspora who migrated to other countries to the tune of tens of millions. You are speaking as though this case is unique to Malaysia when it isn't. In fact it is even far worse than many other countries.

I'm all in with the equal rights but the minorities would rather keep their children separated from mingling with other races at early age than to allow for them to assimilate and actually learn to live in a diverse community. As you mentioned, Chinese dominated the retails and businesses. Therefore, they have the power to priorities their own people when it comes to employment. Even if Malays, Chinese, and Indians are employed in the same company, eventually the Chinese are more likely to get more raise and bonuses compared to the other two. Not to mention that Chinese will always be given the biggest chance at climbing up the corporate ladder compared to Malays and Indians. This is the true reality of Malaysia.

I think most people would agree the current state of things needs improvement but given the failures of the affirmative actions it makes it harder to rebalance the situation. That said, the government is starting to make some small positive actions in this space and hopefully in the future we can be equally proud of all Malaysians and stop judging one another by ethnicity.

This video is missing the point altogether. The Malays are not the indigenous people of this country. They are also migrants like the Chinese and the Indians. The original people, "real bumiputra" are the Orang asli tribes in Peninsula Malaysia and Sabah and Sarawak. It's the Malay Ultra elites politicians who have indoctrinated the Malays to believe that they are the original people of this land causing the divide so that they continue to rule and plunder the resources of this land. Main culprit is the Mamak kutty who is not even a Malay. 😢 In my childhood days in the early 60's, there is no problem between the races and we play and mingle with everyone. We can even walk into each others houses and share meals with no problems and respecting each others religions and cultural values.

Malaysia has lost the pool of young talent to all developed and developing countries such as Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, Germany, UK, America, Australia and New Zealand and others. Why are all these countries willing to absorb talented young people? They are the most valuable human assets of the countries for future competitiveness. However, Malaysia's rhetorical politics wants to prioritize one race to marginalize the other, through 5 decades of NEP policy. Now the impact of NEP resulted that all Malaysians are enslaved in the middle income trap. Now everyone has experienced economic hardship. Universities graduate underemployment. The Super-rich are untouchable. Where are the young Malaysian multi races talent pools ? It was 5 decades of migration of highly trained people.

Seems to me you might get something wrong. The British did force multi cultural and segregation of Malaysia, but after independence, the corruption and ethnical double standard are what your country has done to itself. After the independence, the country achieved the choice to determine its own destiny. Apparently, it failed to do so and stuck in this vicious circle. Singapore was also part of the empire, has arguably the most similar social condition to Malaysia, and has far more challenging limitation than its neighbours, but still has done times better than Malaysia. Besides, I thought Chinese and Indian leaving the country suit your agenda in the first place. If anything, you should celebrate.

The British mistake gave the non-bumi Malaya federation unfair treatment, non-bumi people do not have the same rights as the so-called universal human rights. Instead of making the mistake of doing reforms to make the Federation of Malaya independent, the non bumi groups are now being bullied and discriminated against in this area. 1. Discrimination: Education: Non-bumiputera students often face challenges in accessing public university placements and scholarships due to the quota system that favors bumiputeras. 2. Jobs: The practice of preferential hiring in the public sector causes less representation of non-bumiputeras in government jobs. 3. Economic Opportunities: Permits and business licenses often prioritize bumiputera applicants to the detriment of non-bumiputera entrepreneurs. 4. Government Contracts: Bumiputera companies are often given preferential treatment when bidding for government contracts, which can limit opportunities for non-bumiputera businesses to compete fairly. 5. Not Merit-Based Scholarships: Introduce scholarships that are not based on academic performance and financial need, rather than solely on ethnic background. 6. Not Fair Business Practices: Implement policies that do not ensure fair competition for business licenses and permits. Not provide support and incentives for entrepreneurs from all ethnic backgrounds, focusing on socio-economic need.

However, it continued to favor bumiputera in areas like government contracts and business licenses. 2.Seeking Accountability from MCA Historical Responsibility and Role in Establishing Policies 1955-1957: MCA (Malaysian Chinese Association) played significant roles in the negotiation and formation of the Federation of Malaysia's constitution, including the implementation their involvement in the political process has contributed to the systemic discrimination against non-bumiputera communities. 3. U cant just talk as if Malaysia having mostly back end semiconductor investments as a failure. To reach this level of investments & networking is already a lot of work & not easy to do. Many countries failed to even reach 10% of what we achieved. The Malaysian semiconductor story could have been better but it is a great success story. While I do agree that the NEP is counter productive. I also like to point out that the US used to ban all Chinese immigrants from migrating to the US. Because the Chinese were dominating all industries in California. Give them more time their populations will move east & they will dominate the entire USA. White people can't compete with Chinese & Indians just like Malays. Even today the US has an affirmative actions policy that discriminates Asian people the most. Even with these racist policies Asians especially Chinese & Indians make up 40% of all top US universities despite their populations making up less than 7% of US populations. Europeans have even less Asian populations so they can talk big. If the Chinese & Indian populations reached 30% in western countries like they did in Malaysia. They will have their own NEP. I also don't get why nobody ever mentions Affirmative Actions in the US, South Africa, India, etc. Nobody ever talks about injustices of racism faced by different races in these countries. Why is it only in Malaysia? Is it because it is done by a Muslim majority country it is just much cooler to point that out compared to other countries. Just look at how many times he mentioned "Muslim" Malays in the video. See how he likes to stress that out multiple times.

What about the AA in the US where Black people benefit a lot more than Whites & Asians. Is that apartheid too? What about AA in South Africa, is that apartheid too? Nobody compares it to apartheid system when it comes to Blacks but when it comes to Malays or if we are being honest, Muslims. Everybody just loveee to point out this fact. Lets not forget that Whites were intimidated by Chinese too especially in the US to the point they banned all Chinese immigrants more than 100 years ago. White kids are lazy. I used to live in the US & their education systems are so easy I could do it in my sleep. It is laughable how the majority of white kids can't get straight A's at school & they can't perform well for the SAT exam. If Malaysia's education system is easy peasy like in the US. I can guarantee you that a lot more Malays would get straight A's and Malay students will be more encouraged to study hard. But when you have an education system that trains you to be a robot, the Malays cannot cope with it. Only the Chinese & to a lesser extent the Indians can cope with it. I highly doubt lazy white kids can adapt with this type of system as well. Don't let me get started on Black or Latino students because they are even worse.

Now that the native Malays have food to eat and rolves over their heads, they won't benefit from taking away opportunities from other races. Ya akhi you don't understand the situation here. The bumiputera policy will only change when the non-bumiputera (Non-Muslim, Non-Malay) choose to assimilate and see themselves as Malaysian before Chinese or otherwise. Many in these 'non' communities self-segregate themselves from open society. They have their own exclusive schools, own exclusive companies, etc. They do the exact same thing (sometimes more intensely), and then turn around complain "Why you so racist lah?". The hypocrisy almost amusing.

@02june80 Someone @02june80 asked: Is Mahathir a Malay? According to him and on records: 1. His mother was a Malay (father and mother must be from the Malay's ethnic clans. There's no Malay per se. Just like Chinese, there is no race or ethnicity called Cina but Hakka, Hokkien, Teow Chew, etc., etc. As for Indian, there are people from Kerala, Punjab, Tamil, and northern India like those carrying the name Singh e.g., Kartar Singh (KS). KS wants to identify himself as Indian or Singh?) 2. Father (Mamak/Mamu) His father's father was from India whilst his father's mother (grandma) was a local. Mahathir = Malay mother + Mixed father (Man from Kerala & local Malay), 3:1 In terms of definition, Mahathir is a Malay. Biologically, Mahathir has Malay DNA + Yemen's DNA (ancestors from Kerala India, not necessarily originated from the Aryan tribes but Yemen. Put Mahathir and Jose Soros side by side, you can see they both have almost identical nose structure/look) Mahathir identifies himself as Malay. A "Chinese + Indian" is a Malay if he's Muslim and adopts Malay culture. Members of the political party, UMNO are not 100% biological Malay like Ghafar Baba, Muhyuddin, and Hamzah Zainuddin. What is so special about being a 100% Malay? None. I know what the Malay should get if there's really a 100% Malay privilege. The 5% Bumi discount to buy a house must be scrapped, it is a cheat!!! May apply if it's a government housing project. Do you know a Chinese does not have to pay anything but the developer makes it easy for him (who has the capability to pay installments) to move into a RM660,000 new house. Do you have any explanation why Chinese officers who had almost the same salary and position as the Malay officers (young age in the 1990s) could easily move in or bought a RM1m house in Penang. What restrictions would Chinese or Indian face if they want to do business? There was a time new freight forwarding licenses were to be issued. The Chinese (as a race) have already got say 255 licenses. Why were there very big hues and cries when the majority of the licenses, say 100, were to be given to the Malay (which the Chinese can come in as partners say up to 49% shares). Why when the number of sponsored or P153 scholarship Malay students in several universities abroad (say ISU, Ames, Iowa, USA) became "zero/sifar" from around Pak Lah's time, the number of Chinese students remains above 200. P153 scholarships were not 100% awarded for pure academic excellence. This meant if TSri Azman Hashim's daughter had scored 8As and 1B whilst a kampung boy scored 5As (appropriate subjects) and 4B, the TSri's daughter should be rejected at the application stage. This should have left the kampung boy to compete with other pure Malays and mamaks. Malaysia should loosened their hold in many areas to let in the other race to participate together. It is all about the money. Those who migrate overseas want better income in Dolar or Pound than few thousand ringgits. You think other countries are free from racism?

@@keris76 Since Covid, the dynamic has changed. We well-educated Malays don't have to leave the country to make a living. For many occupations (engineering, IT), we can work remotely for companies that pay in foreign currency. And the Malaysian government encourages us to do this as they get more tax revenue.

I have spoken to many ethnic Chinese Malaysians over the years who have left to settle in Australia. They have confirmed to me, the problems associated with not being a Malay hence therefore muslim, in Malaysia. This is why they leave. No Western bullshit here mate. Just muslims making it unbearable for any other race to live harmoniously.
