Why Are Koreans So Good at Videogames!?

Gaming might just be South Korea's national sport and Koreans in general just seem naturally talented at any video game they come across. Have you ever wondered why? Explore Korea's culture and history to see how it's impacted one of Korea's most popular hobbies today.

All of these points are true, but also their educational system plays a big role into this. South Korea like China takes their entrance exams very seriously. Many kids spend all their time studying for that one moment. If professional gaming is going to be their occupation, they are going to play as if their life depended on it.

But what drives human behaviour is emotions, they learn, they try harder, they play many many hours, they use their brain to play better because they love play games! As a brazilian i can say this: the time that brazil where the most top on the soccer whas when we loved to play. I grew up in brazil and almost everybody liked soccer and spend a lot and a lot and a lot time playing and training and improving, because we loved

Gaming is still disproportionally consumed by men in their 10s and 20s, maybe 30s and Korean females don't care/don't know much, just like anywhere else; average Korean girls just don't know much about the gaming scene. The school-age girls may know Faker as the most famous gamer of their generation (for those in their late 20s and 30s, SlayerS_`BoxeR), but that's about it; they don't care/unaware about his accomplishments. Females that follow the gaming scene are probably less than 10% of the entire Korean gamer population. What I'm saying is, yes, BTS may see Faker as their own "idol" because they are like any other young boys when it comes to gaming, but girls don't care.

Idk but it’s cringe tbh. Video games are supposed to be fun. Esports suck the fun out of it.

Granted casual Korean gamers exist. Not like the whole country put video games as priority number 1. Still in competitive plays Korean pros are on top in most games.
