Why are Japanese people open to relationships before getting married? Japanese Perspectives
In Japan, it is becoming more common for people to have several relationships before getting married.
In this video, we conducted interviews with 8 Japanese women and 4 men to discuss how many partners Japanese people typically have before marriage and the reasons why Japanese people are open to relationships before marriage.

Some common misconceptions they made. 1. Foreigners in Japan are in Japan for a reason. They are not at all representative of "foreigners". 2. People think they need more relationship to compare and find the best one. But lot of people just keep dating the same type over and over. Also what to do if person 2 is worse than person 1. And person 3 is worse than person 2. I think all the films and movies really skewer young people expectations for the worse.

Some say "Looking back, the first person I dated was the best. I should have married that person," while others say they married their first love and "wanted to experience dating other women/men as well." In the end, I still don't know which is better.😅😅😅

@@RealVoiceTokyofromTaku nothing in life is ever perfect. It's the understanding of itself that will make you content and happy. That's my take from many years of struggling despite living in one of the best countries, being above average smart, and have decent look. In my opinion, a good partner is someone who doesn't make you unhappy, and it's up to you to be happy with your partner.
