I had the regular Bunny well developed with an ultimate skin (the evolving one, which is super cool). But I did it exactly to send a sign to the devs. THIS is what we want. THIS is what puts bread on your table, not the woke crap that only puts you at the mercy of very shaddy and heavily politicized investment funds. Give us what we, the real gamers, want, and we'll throw money at you.

Believe it or not, Looter Shooter is a genre that people actually like. It's not the genre itself that's the problem, it's when it's executed poorly.

@@briannewman532wut? You get Bunny with in the first hour and she’s arguably the best all around descendant. All other upgrade materials are easily obtainable by breaking down stuff. It’s super easy to farm for descents and lego weapons. I’m like 25 hours in and haven’t spent a dime and have. Have lvl 100 gear. Also have Gley, freyna, valby and bunny just from playing the game

I wouldn't say "addicted" just yet. It's still in the honey moon phase. Check back three months or even one month away from now...

People like pretty characters, simple goals, and fun gaming loops. Its not that hard to guess why a game like this has people playing. But we arent allowed to say that because it doesnt fall in line with everyones view on what we should like. I enjoy the gameplay i didnt buy anything on it, me and the bestie are giving it a shot

Its crazy how this free to play game can be enjoyed by people several days after its release to the point that review outlets everywhere are dumbfounded. Will it retain its player base? Who knows. Just let people try it out, and decide for themselves. Personally I've enjoyed it to the same degree as a dynasty warriors game. Simple, yet satisfying.

Don't get ahead of yourselves Gamingbolt. It's free to play, it's a new looter shooter. it has relatively fun gameplay mechanics, and there's a degree of waifu customizing. Avengers, Suicide Squad, and Skull and Bones - only Skull and Bones had any hype - and that died after year 2.5 of development hell and the cratering expectations for it. First Descendent doesn't belong in the conversation with those other 3 titles. Let's see how long it's actually going to keep momentum - think of all the games that had some hype and were wild successes - and think of all the games that came out of what FELT like nowhere and were wild successes - there's just not many that maintain that same degree of hype and player engagement over more than a few months from release and major content drops. Even Helldivers, greatly heralded by many, has "lost" a lot of the playerbase. This is just modern gaming / gamers.

Hellrivers screwed by Sony when asked for accounts...and from 240 countries only 82 have Ps plus....TFD it's free to play ,looter shooter with RPG elements...I have a blast playing it and I will keep playing ....i am a Warframe player I have all primes but I log in once for the weeklys and that's its....was a 10 year destiny player finished the saga played the raid and I wanted something new and fresh...and TFD took the place for my main PVE game...I do hope for the success of TFD and above all that is that you can acquire everything through gameplay ...if you want to pay its there if you want yo grind it is there..and I like the fact that the endgame is endless because every time you play on hard mode you have loot all over the place....

I'm into researching the descendants, weapons, etc. I didn't think I would be but I find it oddly satisfying when I finally get the last drop I need and can pop back over to Albion and start the process to get the new descendant. What I can't say is how long I'll be doing it. Some of the required drops have a stupidly low drop rate and I can see myself tiring of running the same quest, dungeon, etc. 10+ times for it.

It’s new. It’s fun. It’s free. It’s worth throwing five to ten bucks at every once in a while.

If you want skins, colors, and other character unlockable, you have to play long enough to unlock them through the game’s challenges menus. Look again.

Addicted is an extreme word to be using here. It's free but once people clock the grind and what it's worth, it'll be a coin toss between leaving the game or paying to upgrade modules capacity for more power. Many fixes are needed before even considering adding content

@@OnlyVibzs Not true how? Have you seen the grind required for energy activators? And you need 4 of them (1 for char + 3 for weapons) minimum PER decendant? Or you can directly buy one from the cash shop for 25 fucking dollars each. ALL weapons and decendents need it to play them in anyway optimally. Well there is nothing else to do other than this anyway so you might count it as content. I consider it a scam.

A 2% chance for an ultimate item & it feels like is even less than 5%. I repeated a mission 25 time with no luck on what i needed. It even feels like the game force u to even consider just buying the freaking item with money. Smh this game have so much potential but nexon greediness will make this game fail.

Cuz if you had played any other game by them you would understand my comment. NEXON is know for being extremely pushy about in game transaction. I have play many looter shooter game. And the % drop on this game is crazy. For simple stuff as Rare item . I know of people who have play a mission over 80 time, at this point over a 100 time with zero luck. Never said the game is bad, i just know how NEXON work from experience. It force the people with LESS TIME than you to consider purchasing items. Just to progress.

The reason this game is doing well is cause it does what says on the tin no more no less, and that’s what gamers want right now, no lies no B.S. no spikes in difficulty from game to game.

The game is fun and have a good gameplay,and the fact we dont have any new looter shoter on console is a big thing.

Because you feel cool and devistating and its fun. Random groups have been really good too but im not in hard mode yet

Random groups are good in this game......until you get to the Dead Bride. I tried 10 different groups today and man it was rough. For all the casuals out there, don't get too close to her, SHOOT WEAK POINTS, 1600 cold resistance minimum, please have solid HP and DEF numbers combined from your mods and parts, fire or electricity mods on your weapons is a must, the moment when you see she goes invulnerable.....run or grapple far away....fast. When you see the big dome, she is frenzied so shoot the long blue sticks on her arm. I wish there was a daily res challenge because I broke it today.

I know nexon has some controversy in the past for manipulating drop chances, and even though i feel like i get screwed with the drop chances in this game, i still sunk hours into it .-.

I got bored within 12 hours and uninstalled. It’s a shame because I was really looking forward to this game but just couldn’t get into it.

Character models are a big plus, too.

3:14 that line was cut, it seems like he was going to say Warframe but decided not to give the game the credits it deserves... WOW

I remember playing right at launch.. Fools was already running around with paid cosmetics as if they earned it... Im like, fool the game literally just launched....you definitely didn't earn that stuff 😂

It's OK. Nice fun distraction from here to there. The monetization is ridiculous and the having to grind to grind for possibility to drop something you need to keep doing it over again to get that drop is insane. Also this is from a company that sold loot boxes with a chance to drop something that was programed to never drop. So they aren't to be trusted when it comes to real money

You can buy the energy activators and catalysts that make your weapon and descendant immensely more powerful though! It is true that you can farm these in game but they take on average 10 hours each. You need 8 per weapon and 8 per descendant.

Need more content and some safe room for descendants

Easy answer: It's a temporary alternative to Warframe and Destiny 2. It's something to try for a little while until Waframe and Destiny 2 get new updates or new, better looter-shooter games come out. The First Descendant is going to drop in popularity by the end of the year if they don't come up with something better than its subpar content and paper-thin storyline. It'll definitely die if it doesn't fix its greedy monetization. Korean developers don't seem to get this and seemingly will never get this. Most of their games have dropped in popularity and have flat out failed in less than 2 years because of garbage monetization.

If u play it for 3 hours then gj you've played everything the game has to offer. Enjoy doing it over n over again lol

48 hours into it. I collected viessa, bunny, freyna and Sharon and have a good time with the game. My favorite aspects: - easy matchmaking (so easy to play with kind randoms) - fast loading between locations - crisp soundeffects - no too unfair RNG (at least in my case) - the game is a bit of a meditation (slow but steady progress every day) - good information about where to find which item and for what purpose - UE5 & FSR3 are on an okay level on Series X (not spectacular in a way like cyberpunk, but nice graphics) - coming from >50 hours Starfield (no bad game) it is a welcome speedrun in gameplay pace 😊 - the min max aspect and the grind part work well together for me. Tweaking and testing in the grind back and worth is fun.

50 hours in and still going.... not addicted at all

Interesting this should pop up in my feed, because its exactly this. I just decided to quit playing after the massively overleveled bossfight that requires me to grind for days for that 1% drop items, but at the same time, the game only allows 10 minutes to finish the boss, which is a subliminal message to me that i have to keep doing the same missions over and over again to get the right elemental stat for my modules or gun, or need to research and gather a plethora of resources to make an item that doesn't even guarantee me the stat I want. (weapon aughmentation loop)... And this happens halfway the game. If that constant end game meta will go forward from that point ... I think I can't enjoy this game anymore. It literally requists me to burn myself out doing the same things over and over again. And 2 factors make this even worse. As said: the very low drop chance for essential items, and the interception timer. Why in the world would you limit a boss fight like that ? Tactics matter over time. But it seems they want to force you to just play that grinding game and barely give you the damage output for that boss; So the thing that is actually supposed to make the game "addictive", actually turns me off because its too convoluted and forced on me. Thinks they dangle in your face like that such as layers upon layers or research time sinks and a huge web of item dependency ... This always rubs me the wrong way and turns me off. Though I loved the game over all, after a week I think i've had enough. 5 days grinding the same boss and barely finding stuff that makes my character better isn't exactly my kind of fun. As I am not a hamster. I'll only start playing again if they remove that bloody boss timer. That really pisses me off. I am even insulted by it. Like tactics and having a fun time doesn't matter, and it's all about the grind. It doesn't matter to me if I would spend 20 minutes beating that boss. But putting such a penalty .... i don't know, i've never seen this before but it seems pushy and I don't like it.

Eastern publisher know how to prey the player better

This gen has been nothing but gamers hyping games up to high heaven, shielding them from any kinds of criticism, to leaving thise games for the next new shiny thing as they call the previous game "dead."

its a game it looks easier than it is in the end if you really wanna dig deep. and thats cool. you can get really into it if you want to, beside making ur weapon prestige or grind some or ur char, or unlock new chars or whaterver... ppl like that.

korean devs actually love videogames and you see and feel it when you play their games. The NEXON publishers are the issue with the microtransactions stuff but the game is actually sick at its core.

Those games did not kill each other, players bounced around cause the games weren’t that good lol

I've been enjoying it, and as a busy Dad, I like that I can hop on, run a few missions and be done. I hope this stays around for awhile. Also I haven't dropped a cent on it. Very free 2 play

Same here, I play at my own pace when I have time. I don't feel the need to unlock every single character and all the weapons in the first 2 weeks. Don't know why some people feel rushed to keep pace with the sweats. Enjoy the experience. Social media and many influencers really destroyed the love of experiencing games.

Okay I don't know what's happening with game reviewers nowadays but how the everlasting hell can SIX DIGIT PLAYER NUMBERS be considered "horrendous"?! I have played games that has survived on 3-4 digit player numbers for years. Of course The First Descendant is essentially just a mix of Destiny 2's area design and Warframe's progression systems but can we deny that this game does exactly what it sets out to do? It's fun and free and you can easily play the other 2 games and have TFD as a secondary game.

The game is fun and I didn’t start playing until Friday because I just brushed it off started playing and I could kick myself it’s amazing not perfect but what is stop playing I hope it grows and becomes even better

The game did crashed on me at my first time playing for 1 hour despite that i came back to playing it after a few hours at night and after that no crashes the game is fun to play and been playing it since then

The beta was excellent but a little redundant. If the main story missions are better i will look into it. But ive avoided it to this point because i heard the microtransactions are unbearable. This analysis doesnt sound too bad and maybe i will try it out. I never got into destiny because i got into it way too late and there was way too much content leaving me confused as to where to begin.

The main story missions are a mixed bag but decent overall and worth the play through. The cutscenes are very good though. Especially the one right after you beat the mission boss for the Echo Swamp. That was super cool. I'm probably 65 -70% through the campaign and I'm in no rush. Besides is FREE. If you just want to get through the story, you can do it without feeling compelled to spend money. If you want to go sweaty and play endgame to get every single descendant then max them out and all the other ultimate weapons, then you may have a problem lol. Either you're the most patient person in the world and don't care about the rush and keeping up with the try hards. Or you will break and spend money.

I hope we get another exclusive story than bunny and raid mission with more player can join

I played Warframe for years. I have put a few hundred dollars in to the game. But one day I decided that I’d had enough. So it’s nice to get the warframe feeling from another game.

I used to love The First Descendant until people started complaining about OP Descendants and weapon so that the dev listened and I had enough of the nerfs so I just dropped the game and never looking back and also I hate the difficulty of the game plus the random matchmaking.

Game def didn’t feel like a passion project, but it feels like they actually did try with this one. I enjoy the game and see my self playing this as my primary live service atleast until marathon or the next 2k drops. Worst case this might be my once a week or with my son while waiting for my woman to come home game

ZZZ is scratching my beat em up itch.

The First Descendant fills that looter shooter gap right now. Its a fun solid albeit repetitive game with Beautiful & Handsome characters with enough grind to keep many players busy for awhile.. all this content that's free to play is simply impressive imo.

Attractive characters.

It's really a bit cheeky, that they used nearly 1:1 the same icons for perks and skills from destiny haha but I really like the gun play! And ofc the waifu site of life.

Same trash as warframe, kill 3001201032031239139201920319349354584538757120834710 enemyes and repeat for 32341738424738924798237489327489274983248927489327 times. Props to people that enjoy this kind of trash. This holded my atention 2 min straight.

Ive seen like 10 reviews for this game and....very mixed, I personally love this game

i enjoy this game a lot , its been the only game in awhile where i can play for hours , but its never gonna be my fav as that belongs to the Borderlands franchise

If you like looters shooters then toy need to understand that this is the best one

People tossing around repetition like it's a bad thing lol. ALL of your favorite games has heavy repetition in them. Monster hunter, diablo, destiny, warframe, helldivers, palworld, cod, csgo, fortnite, street fighter, you get the point. Yet all these games have success despite how "repetitive" the game loop is, the point is how good the game loop is so it can be repetitive all day but as long as the loop is solid then why does that even matter? Of course the game has issues not related to monetization, but people act like those issues will never be adressed. The game only been out for a week and people just been spazzing out every chance they get.

It's fun to play, that's all there is to it. I will spend money on a game because I want to, because it's fun.
