I grew up like that too with a list of what should I wear an wouldn’t an it was very overwhelming. The Holy Spirit taught me how to dress once I left that denomination, he’s more concerned with our heart.

The bible tells us what a women of virtue looks like there’s nowhere in the bible that says it is ok for women to walk around naked lol

We are here to follow heavenly culture not the worldly culture.Christian should not look or act like the world. We should look like Jesus.

I am not using this scripture to condone people to think that it’s OK to dress inappropriately. But rather if you yourself let’s say if you are a physically attractive Christian man and have no conviction when walking down the street without a shirt on. Then amen. If let’s say you still have no conviction wearing a muscle shirt as a daily attire around your sisters in the lord who we are instructed to treat as pure. Then amen. But that doesn’t mean that the other parties conviction don’t rise up. So if the other person or even the sister says “Hey that’s inappropriate”. Scripture tells us to accept the on whose faith is weak and not cause them to stumble for their sake. So if others around don’t like it. As it says here. “If your brother or sister is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy someone for whom Christ died.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭14:15‬ ‭NIV‬‬ The same principle carries For example. If your brother or sister is distressed because of what you wear. You are no longer acting in love. I hope this make sense. Of course. The context here is based on disputable matters. Not actual things we know to be wrong. For Then we are to warn each other.

*The problem is most people don't even know what lust is. You probably think lust and sexuality are the same thing...guess what?...THEY'RE NOT. Sexuality is completely natural, healthy and proven to lengthen a life span. Lust is a manipulation of sexuality that harms yourself and others. Having a sexual feeling for someone isn't "lusting" after them. God created us to be sexual beings, that's why He gave us genitals and sex hormones. Also it's clinically proven that we benefit from daily masturbation meaning we benefit from sexual urges further proving that we're supposed to, by God's design, embrace our sexual nature. So even if someone is dressing to be enticing and turn heads, that's completely natural.*

God created us to be fully naked with NO SHAME and it was only when we started playing our own game that we started viewing our bodies as disgraceful. 99% of clothing has nothing to do with trying to be provocative, it's just the person wearing what makes them comfortable. Clothing does not influence bad actions, bad character is what does.*

I agree with this to an extent. A women with large breasts or a man with defined muscles will be noticed no matter what they are wearing. But it's like you said someone's character or someone's heart determines if they get lead into sinful thinking or actions. Not the clothes. Also modesty has no clear definition anyway, someone's knee length skirt may seem whorish to someone else 's floor length skirt.
