Malinois' tails and ears are not docked. Although you do say this in the video the title should be "Why Belgian Malinois ears and tails are NOT docked". I thought this sounded very strange, as I've never head of it in this breed.

??? Huh? Mals aren't cropped and docked. Shouldn't the title be "Why Malinois aren't cropped and docked"? They have proper ear formation from birth unlike floppy eared breads which by the way are actually a deformity and you only need to look at nature to see that no animal has floppy ears in nature. Humans only continue to selectively breed it because they found it cute but unfortunately all the protection breeds that do have floppy ears and they have to crop already have the floppy ear Gene. Unless of course they are mixed with a Shepherd or Malinois

@@naturallycurlyhair4413 in what country? Because around the world, Belgian Malinois and working line German Shepherds are the premier police dogs and they are never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever cropped and docked. Not as protection dogs and not as police dogs. Never ever ever

@@primalcritters Sorry you’re right I’ve seen a few with their tails docked so I figured they always did it but it was probably from a tail injury

@@naturallycurlyhair4413 no worries at all. Indeed it was a tail injury. Ears are naturally erect in these breeds and the tail is important for balance while doing police work or military

I know lots of malinois trainers from all over the Netherlands, have transported some of the top KNPV, ph1 qualified dogs. Never seen or heard of a mali with cropped years. Nothing against people who decide to own one as a pet. But jeeeez if you have a full time job, I don’t see how you would find the time. I love them and if I could justify it I would 100% have one. All I would tell an inexperienced owner is Get a German shepherd

I would probably cross one with a Golden Retriever or... or an English Mastiff The purpose being come out to get around the " Dangerous Dog " bans that keep popping up. If you have a cute mixed breed of indeterminent raza, you're ok, And can still get insurance As homeowner or renter.
