Why are there so many sealed envelopes from the US mint still available? Seems they are even selling them on Amazon , does this devalue the coins?

There are two types of 1967 Kennedy's. The regular strike and the SMS strike. You can tell the difference when holding them in your hand. One is thicker than the other and one is 30.5 instead of 30.6 mm

My grandmother recently passed and I’ve found a 1967 Kennedy in an old wallet that was my grandfather’s and the coin has been in the wallet since at least 1971 (that’s when he passed away) but I’m not sure how to tell if I have a rare one or what. What should I do with it now. I will likely keep it just for sentimental value but I’m just curious.

I hope this is not a stupid question because I’m new to all of this and just inherited a huge collection but if it comes in a mint state set of a certain year does that automatically make each coin mint state something? I bought a few books but I’m still confused on how to establish approximate value. I value this channel🙏🏻

DON'T sell it until you understand what you have. Some folks will take advantage of you. Sell when YOU are ready, even (ESPECIALLY) if you're offered what seems to be a lot.

Elisa Mari, l asked myself the same question. It depends. Some were sold at auctions like great heritage, some sold on line like eBay, Essy, and Mercari. Some in trade. Etc. Find out what option or options is best for you.

I have a 1967 Liberty Half Dollar.. Question.. Should both sides of the Coin be struck the same way up.. I.e.. J.F.K head one side and when I spin it around the eagle is upside down and visa versa.. if I look at the eagle and spin the coin around J.F.K. is upside down?? Is that normal

When you spin them side ways should the head be facing up because I got one that’s upside down an in England so I don’t know,

Are coins where the two faces of the coin are misaligned worth money? The Eagle side of my coin is maybe 170 degrees rotated from the head side?

I inherited a 1967 half dollar coin, the color ofit is tainted. Almost looking gold. It was in a plastic envelope and has a certificate of authenticity A 10892. Can anyone tell anything about this coin?

Sadly i do not have a microscope. Its fun cuz this 1967 was the first coin in my collection, i just had to get it Cuz the price was good and i have never seen a american coin in real life. Maby i struck gold who knows

the 64's shiny ones with the double stamped W. Two looked just like your video on them, one is the same in every way but a completely different anomaly in the same spot of the W.

I'm always skeptical when it comes to curved clipped coins, being a machinist/toolmaker and having studied the minting process that 67 Kennedy's E and W clips cancelled out the Blakesley effects that should have been present, the N clip shows a Blakesley effect type damage on both sides from the video footage, if so that's not kosher. I'm not going into what someone with the knowledge to fake clips and the time to lets say age the "whiskey" but it wouldn't be hard if one had patience.
