    Wdym fan ending. This is the real ending. What's that? Simp Eren? Reiner sniffing historias letter? Armin thanks Eren for becoming a mass murderer for destroying 80% of the world and paradis gets destroyed anyway leading to beren and a sequel. Sorry sir you seem to have had a concussion because that did not happen. What a bad dream good thing it's not real. Although the latest aot chapter only had 22 pages it's looking goated. Man I'm excited for the finale.

    @@laylikeschips5153 Being edgy? No. I can understand making his motivations consistent but he clearly wasn't always like this otherwise you're basically saying he had no development. What was always there was his desire for freedom and the determination to achieve it. The edgy part came later on after he realized the truth about the outside world and when he had to steel himself to go through with a brutal massacre. The official AOT No Requiem has no problems with me so far, but the idea that Eren should kill all of his friends for the sake of him being edgy and cool is a dumb idea. It would only cater to Eren's development, as horrifying as it would be, while sacrificing the development and conclusions of other characters. In that respect it would be even worse than what we actually got in ch. 139. There are better ways to rewrite the ending imo (ex. Eren only killing the global fleet not 80% of the population, then setting up his death to make everyone else appear as heroes, OR set up Ymir as the final villain but introduce limits to the founder's power, OR make Eren lose like in 139 but he doesn't breakdown inconsistently like that and have the hero setup be Armin's plan to which Eren has no choice but to agree with upon his death.)

  • @r.s.7929

    @r.s.7929

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@laylikeschips5153 Or perhaps the safest way to rewrite the ending is to never include a fight against Eren as the founding titan in the first place. War for Paradis should have been the final battle and then the rumbling is just an end goal that no one could stop anymore. This way, Eren doesn't need to kill his friends to win. To make this finale less underwhelming, I suggest rewriting the war for paradis arc and put all the payoffs and high stakes in there instead of after the arc since a lot of ppl also felt as if parts of the rumbling arc just kinda dragged the plot.

    People. Call everything edgy especially when the person star behaving realistically to their situation or making hard choices . . A character fight back and call it edgy lol. I guess military veterans are edgy or anyone who fight against oppression. Stop using edgy. Aot was actually edgy when it was titans eating people. Edgy is using gruesome scenes for no reason for shock affect. Like the show killing random characters for shock affect. The met are acting like the show turned “edgy “ when it was already edgy people called it edgy by the first episode. In seaosn 3- 4 eren just came into realization and face inner conflict to make a decision like a real person does. Not random actions for no reason and pointlessness just for shock I’d say season 3-4 when he became more realistic instead of a self righteous robot . He knows he isn’t a hero. He isn’t trying to be a hero he is just looking out for his people. He is a hero to the people who supported him just like irl. You are a hero to your country but an enemy to opposing country. .

    The scene of kid Eren looking back at Armin happened in chapter 131 after which Armin forgot about it, Armin's conversation with Zeke happened after he got swallowed, how are those two things tied together in the last page? I really need an explanation Maybe Armin just got a short glimpse of the future on the ship and that whole exchange actually happens later on, aka after 136 (Unless they're not tied together and it's just a callback, same positioning and everything but different context this time)

    I'm still trying to wrap my head around how Eren was shown to be in the final episode seeing as I'm anime only. Also one of the few anime only that wasn't so 10/10 and masterpiece. I don't know if I can agree that how Eren responded proves it was an act so to say. The way I took it was Eren simply letting some emotions go. The only issue I had was Eren essentially confessing his love for Mikasa. Because at least when I saw it, he cried a bit, and then went back to his cold expression. If it was reworked to exclude the mention of Mikasa it could have been better.

    Guys, our reading comprehension is bad. We simply didn't realise you can fake character development with Eren. We should have known, that he was lying to himself in his *inner monologue*. We also should have known that Historia was irrelevant and her pregnancy subplot was simply a massive red herring that we waited for three years to see the pay off for. Turns out it was a no name, no face farmer, who used to bully her, that knocked her up. Then she gave birth to a no name child. No, no, no, can't you tell that Eren had to kill his mother to start himself on this path? The thousands of innocent people being eaten by titans, the wall being broken, and Dina promising Grisham she'll find him and making her an Abnormal titan, simply weren't enough. AnR fanon is so toxic that it includes pro-genocide. Like it even includes "Thank you for being a mass murderer for our sake" Armin with tears in his eyes, Annie getting off with no consequences for killing Levi's squad, and Paradis getting bombed by the 20% of the surviving population. AnR fandom, guys, tlso toxi-- Oh, wait. Is that... The Canon chapter 139? People are just mad Eren loved Mikasa because their ship didn't become Canon haha. What? Evidence of plot holes? Assassinated characters? Abandoned plot threads? I'll gladly ignore all that, because this fan ending is clearly only EreHisu. What? Themes of surpassing the father? Getting the children out of the Forrest? Nonsense. Nani? Where are the panels of Historia on this fan ending? I need to find Historia panels to bitch and moan about in order to back up the narrative that this is a massive EreHisu fanfic. Such disrespectful actions made by the fans, don't they know this story isn't focused about their ships? They can't make an alternate ending like that! Oh, me? I ship EreMika and I'm so, so angry Isayama made Mikasa move on from Eren with Jean. So we made an alternate ending where Mikasa lives with Eren who is still alive. I hate how the fandom is harrassing Isayama and his ending. I already sent my 69th death threat to the AnR team, yeah that'll show them. I hate how the AnR fanboys are spreading false information about us ending defenders. They're all just mad about EreHisu being non Canon aha. I hate how they're disrespecting Isayama by producing a fan ending, don't they know they're just fanfics and aren't Canon? So anyways, wanna read the EreMika we drew and made and is definitely Canon no matter what Isayama says?

    I got into an argument with an ED the other day and they tried to say that eren wasn’t a nationalist and didn’t care about the island only his friends. I completely forgot about the titan scene when they were going to the beach and eren literally calls it “a fellow patriot”. Isayama established erens motives a long time ago, it was either his people’s deaths or his people’s freedom and he chose their freedom. He’s always been someone to fight to the bitter end and isayama robbed him of all that agency with the last chapter. Idk where ending defenders get the idea that this was the real eren and it’s how he’s always been when even mikasa admits at some point in the book that maybe she made up her own idealized version of him and he actually was this guy that would fight no matter the cost. One of the biggest disappointments, I really loved this story

It's not just to save his people. There's something selfish and personal as well, something deeply isn't right. Otherwise he wouldn't become the world's biggest killer.

    If you are talking about I was so disappointed, I didn't take it as a part of his motivation. I understood it like this: Eren thought that Reiner, Annie and Berthold are his only enemies, but when he learnt that there are other countries out there he figuted out that Reiner Annie and Berthold came from there and that when he finally thought that he will be free he learnt that there is whole world against him, that's why he was disappointed.

    Guys, serious question. What happened to Isayama is he even still alive? He used to do interviews before but he went dark for several months now and Kawabuko has now become the face of AoT for the public for the past months now. He didn't even show up for the Guinness award picture, Kawabuko did. How did the editor become the face of AoT in the first place? The most recent I have ever heard from Isayama was from a premade interview. A man that well known should be easily seen or heard from twits right, he could not have disappeared easily. And No, I am not subscribing to the idea that he is lock underneath Kodansha's basement or kidnapped.

    Okay I know I’m late but I wanted to say this part because it kind of bothered me. For the record I am loving Aot No Requiem, it’s an amazing project that I eventually want to see get animated and I love what they done with eren. But the part in the video when he mentions Eren being too cowardly, I’ll admit you lost me. I could just be biased since I haven’t watched the rest of the video, but while I’m definitely in for Eren to destroy the world and end the cycle, there is no way he can do it without acting the way he did in the manga. I’m not a huge fan of the breakdown scene for other reasons, and the scene with Kid eren saying freedom was dope, but I don’t think it’s cowardly to shield yourself from the carnage you are putting on the world. Eren’s only nineteen years old and his mind is all fucked up from the founder’s power, he’s going through shit that we really couldn’t understand, so he set himself up for death at the end of the manga because he knew he wouldn’t be able to live with himself after it’s over, because destroying the freaking world is no matter what going to fuck you up, being a man and murdering someone is one thing but billions of people? Keep in mind this is no hate to Saintichief, The ANR team or anyone, I just don’t like how people view manga eren as a coward when he had to do the most fucked up thing in Human history and not be screwed over. I do however look forward to how the ANR team portray eren further, as they said in their interview, they wanted to expand eren’s character and make him more consistent, therefore they’ll gradually show tidbits of the eren we used to know until he inevitably crumbles. This whole facade he plays isn’t really a facade, the man has no more tears to shed and the only thing he has to do is to keep moving forward. Thanks for reading ❤

    I've said it before I suspect Isayama did not write AOT. And I'll take this person as the actual author any day. However it has occurred to me. Izayama based AOT on a game he played a lot Muv Luv. Where it seemed to have ended leaving players in shock and dismayed as well. Only to then return and expand the plot even more. And there is romance and an example of bad romance. Where the two main protagonist girls were direct reference for Mikasa and Historia. The plot ends with the MC's death. Then it returns and turns out he is trapped on an endless time loop because of one of the girl's attachment to him no letting him be free. It's an unhealthy attachment. He has to hurt her to break the chains of her delusion so she can see him for who he is instead of what she wants him to be. And he is released from the time loop. But every time loop[ he would go back again and again and accumulate the memories of every time he would go back, and the same losses and events would inevitably repeat themselves even if they came about differlty for every loop. Making the character suffer incredibly. All because of a girl. This reflects the hold and karmic hold a person could have over your life if un healthy attachments are not dealt with. I can only hope he is severely trolling gave himself a break to refine the next phase and will do a similar comeback. because my only clue as to why Eren is not dead is the chapter itself. ppl say there is no 104 chapter because it signifies freedom, but they did not pay attention to what freedom means in context of the story. In Japan 4 is a bad omen number that is pronounced as death is pronounced. So it is used with extreme caution. In context of this story for Eren, death was freedom for him from the fate the world dealt him. Ch 140 did not happen supposedly because he never got freedom. Indeed he did not get it because he did not die. And he may already be in the endless loop, which is what he was explaining to Falco about being pushed by one hell towards another, and that despite that you never know until you try. This Eren is courageous to have such hope and resolve. And I believe that what he was actually faking was his conversation with Armin in 139. That that was the actual faking, and he told Armin nothing of value because that is what was needed or he simply, did not trust him any more. But would have rather faked a light hearted conversation on stupid topics.

    This Eren may not be edgy but he surely is portrayed as such at least in the eyes of others, the original scene with from 2000 years ago is now nulled in AnR with Eren now talking to kid Eren which may make sense but in the context of Ymir sending the message like in the manga had better context in the story due to Ymir owning Eren for freeing her finally and she now repays Eren with sending the message back to kid Eren, that iconic scene now has been ruined with Eren now sending the message instead of Ymir, and although people may take gripes for Eren reverting back to his kid self ae they view a kid as innocent yet people really forget Eren isn't a normal kid especially when he was violent against those who took away his and his friends freedom away like the kidnappers who he killed ruthlessly, kid Eren from what I seen is the truer form of Eren who wouldn't hesitate to achieve freedom by any means necessary no matter how cruel or unethical it is and although he understands his actions yet keeps moving forward for his peoples sake

    Well he's literally portrayed in a way as a Chad and in the original manga Ymirs message to Eren basically becomes useless as the message is now given by adult Eren now instead of Ymir who is supposed to help Eren in a way, the original manga may portray Eren as reverting to a kid but i argue it could be interpreted into a different thing instead of being innocent as most people think, people forget kid Eren is more violent and more active in looking for his freedom from those kidnappers and what I took from that scene is Eren reverting to his truer form as a kid who is willing to achieve freedom by any means no matter how cruel or unethical it was, i do agree with the remaining scenes with his conversation with Armin and Zekes conversation being placed in the story better than the manga, but still kinda disappointed they would try to have another Chad Eren moment yet the manga portrayed Eren in a sympathetic manner and him reverting to his truer form is him finally achieving freedom and understanding well enough of his actions but keeps moving forward

    What do people think that Eren was “pretending” in 139?

  • @inminecraft8430
    @inminecraft84303 жыл бұрын

    Canon Eren wanted to complete the rumbling. He only couldn’t because he knew his fate wasn’t to complete it and he had to do what Ymir did instead. The alliance plan was what he changed to instead but insisted on doing as much of the rumbling as possible to see that scenery in 131. His character was always building towards Eren destroying the world and that has always been his goal. He got cucked by fate/ymir. Aot no requiem could work as an alternate reality where Eren does what he wanted if they just have him complete the rumbling. It will fail if the writers have Eren kill the alliance for no reason. He wouldn’t give the alliance “the freedom to fight” if his character has always been about taking freedom from those who wish to take his. Additionally they are his friends. Why would he kill them if he doesn’t have to? If you believe he won’t take the alliance’s freedom simply because they are his friends then he should’ve at least taken the freedom of the warriors. They are his enemies and fight simply to help the outside world. They are literally enemies to paradis. Also the implication of AnR is he allowed the alliance to kill the Yeagerists who strongly supported his efforts. Why would he purposefully allow the enemy to kill his comrades fighting for his cause? He could’ve just told Floch to destroy the plane and the problem would be solved. The Alliance never needs to fight the Yeagerists. AnR Eren is a piece of shit who doesn’t care about his friends and his comrades fighting on his side and for some reason is lenient to the enemies of his country. That makes no sense and isn’t consistent with Eren’s character at all. It makes sense if Eren wanted the alliance to reach him in order to kill him like they do in the canon ending. It’s a shame so many people couldn’t see why AnR Eren was a myth. The best way to fix AnR Eren is give him a genuine reason that he’s willing to sacrifice his friends. The big twist could be that Eren needed to gather all of the titan shifters so he could eat them in order to end the titan curse. That still leaves Mikasa, Levi, Jean, and Connie. At this point make Eren have paths talks with the non shifters informing them that he will kill the titan shifters so he can gain the power to finally end the titan curse. He tells them that it’s impossible for them to win but if they don’t attack him they he won’t attack back. He tells them he’s willing to erase their memories if they want to forget about what happened. Otherwise, he will defend himself. Any character that fights back would need to say something along the lines of they wouldn’t be able to live in a world where Eren did such horrific acts and they will oppose him because of their moral compass rather than whether they will win. This way, Eren killing his friends becomes completely understandable.

Eren didn’t know what would happen to anyone except for Armin and mikasa(I assume he hasn’t seen any memories of anyone else). That’s why he says he didn’t know what would happen to the rest of them in 139. Armin and Mikasa were always his main priority(Kruger speech to grisha). He obviously wants the others to live if they can and he hates they had to die. Aot no Requiem doesn’t give a fuck whether his friends die or the Yeagerists dying when he’s supposed to be omniscient knowing every possible scenario. The main difference of whether the cycle of hate against paradis ends is if he completes the rumbling. Him letting his friends or the Yeagerists die is not a factor so their deaths are unnecessary

    One problem I see with AOTnoRequiem is that the ending would only work if they somehow made it where Eren completes the full rumbling while preserving the lives of Mikasa, Armin, and maybe the scouts as well. Because in chapter 112 during the table scene, Eren tellls Mikasa that he always hated her and Armin being useless. If AOTnoRequiem happens to kill off Armin/Mikasa, then that means everything Eren said was not a lie but true. This would definitely be out of character for Eren imo because there certainly was no evidence/forshadowing of Eren actually hating Mikasa. Eren always loved Mikasa and Armin as his best friends and family. Eren doing a 180 and hating Mikasa/Armin all of a sudden to the point where he is fine to kill them off in the rumbling makes no sense to me. I disliked the original AOT ending but AOTnoRequiem can be seen just as bad as the original if not executed properly.

But also, we see how broken eren is in chapter 131. why dows he apologize ? I thought he was badass? It was just a farce. He hided his broken soul. On what purpose he insulted mikasa and pushed his friends away? With that ending he just did that bc he is badass. We can see his intentions in ch 131. he wants them to live long lives.
