I have a 2019 yukon denali. And for 6 months I have been searching for why it won't connect to my phone. But after watching this video I went to the dealership and insisted they replace the firmware! Now it works beautifully! THANK YOU!!

I went to 2 dealerships today and they were clueless . One said I just don't have android Auto The other dealer hooked into apple play and it worked. Thanks to You..I will take my truck back to dealer and show them your video proof. Thanks.

Just bought a 2016 Chevy Tahoe LTZ today,, Crazy that it doesnt have android auto factory installed but does have Apple CarPlay.. Guess Im heading to the dealership Monday... Glad i found this video same day i bought vehicle...

I found why mine didn't connect and it was because of the cable.

We've been trying to years! Huge thank you. We will try going to the dealership.

Lol!! Every time you say"ok Google" my phone reacts!!

They know. They just don't like doing free stuff. I promise you there is a software update as many that has seen this video has already went to update theirs. Stay on them

Also have 2016 chevy silverado. Apple carplay works fine, android auto does not. I took it to the dealership to get the "android auto" update. They charged me $160 and it still doesn't work! Most frustrating thing ever.

thank you for a great video. I have all that set up alright. However, when google maps/ waze give me directions, it only gave me the initial directions then it gets stuck at that screen. it won't read me step by step direction, or what exit to take to my destination. Why is that. Please help. Thanks a bunch.

I'm not quite sure however I believe Android auto works from your phone meaning if it needs to do an upgrade in might need to be done to work properly. Try updating you apps and give it another try

This happens to me unless the backlight on my phone is on, then waze catches up. When backlight goes off it freezes again.

when my mom uses it, it doesn't lock her phone just says one last step unplug usb cable and put it back in and it doesn't do anything. the app just crashes and i uninstalled it and reinstalled it but it didn't make a difference.

@@joshuaspears2003 update: i went to the dealership with my mom and when the guy that works there did it, it worked but it was very slow. but now its the next day and its doing the same crap. the app crashes !! im just to frustrated!!

These dealerships know how to sell a car that they dont know F about.

So...I just shelled out $150.00 to my dealership to install android auto on my info infotainment center and it only works with everybody elses phones. My samsung galaxy 7 wont work and neither will the latest samsung phone. WTF???

Try going to settings and enable the android setting. Seen this in comments below.

I went to the dealer yesterday and they uploaded the new software on my 2016 silverado. Still not working. I dont see that projection icon on the screen. What a waste of money. I pay $140.

This is what FINALLY worked for me after doing all the other stuff other people did, that didnt work for me: Installed Google Play Music plugged phone in to Uconnect (2018 Ram truck) and wooahllaaa, it worked! Sounds crazy but seems "google play music" has to be on the phone for Android Auto to display on the Uconnect. Whooda thought?! I got the idea from another forum where someone said thier Android Auto stopped working and it only started working again when they uninstalled and reinstalled Google Play Music after clearing Cache didnt fix it.

@@zash008 i went to the different dealer and they said that the radio on my 2016 Silverado don't have the android auto or CarPlay as a feature. Some of the silverado's made early that year dosen't have android auto .i guess i have to change the HMI module..

Apparently it will not work in a 2017 Jeep Cherokee, I was on the phone for almost an hour with Uconnect with no luck I have a Galaxy Note 9 not sure if its the phone or the vehicle....

2019 Chevy Colorado here. Was having issues getting android auto to connect to my infotainment system. Turns out I was using a low quality usb I got from a portable cell phone charger.Simple fix saving me an embarassing dealership trip.

Now it's got a rough idle, random cylinder misfire yet they cant find the problem..it surges, bucks, slips, chugs whatever the hell you want to call it, I absolutely hate this truck..this is my 2nd Silverado I bought new and I'll never buy another

@@joshuaspears2003 I just can't get back into Ford..I had 3 f150s but they were so basic and plain, but the EcoBoost is in a class on it's own, a small v6 is putting out the power a bigger v8 is, with better gas mileage (not that I care about gas mileage) I'm definitely going to check one out before I buy my next truck though

@@joshuaspears2003 how many exhaust manifold bolts have you replaced yet on the Ram? If none then you need to check. Bet you have some broken bolts holding on the manifold by now. First bolt to check is the passenger side, closest bolt to the firewall which also holds the heat shield on
