Maybe i missed something but this video gave some info on what the Egyptians Greeks and Romans believed but practically nothing on why they believed it

One god is only worshipped in Islam and judaism. Christianity has Jehova but also Jesus, Mary, all the Saints, angles and demons. hinduism still exist and Shintoism, folk religions and neo paganism has been on the rise since the late 19th century. so saying that there is only one god left in the world that is worshipped is a false and ignorsnt statement from a presenter that is also a luthran anglican priest

Worshiping multiple gods is more practical and democratic. Its more logical, psychologically speaking. One is oppressive and easier for the ruling class to use for control.

According to the ancient Hindu texts, there are 33 crore or 330 million gods. The Vedas refer to 33 supreme deities. The theory that there are only three crore gods is simply not based on the Vedic scriptures. In fact, the Vedas list 33 gods, including the Hindu god Shiva.

Protestantism is responsible for creating everything that you or any other living person has ever known/had/wanted/et cetera… The entire world would still be suffering the same misery/disease/slavery/ignorance/suffering/et cetera that had always existed, were it not for Protestant Europeans. They have done their part, now acknowledge it: _A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven._

No, it's best that people continue to believe. Can you imagine the anarchy if people realized that there's no need to curb their "wickedness"? Why would you follow any rules whatsoever? Thinking that they'll go to heaven is keeping many on the straight and narrow. It's ok for the minority to realize that religion is the greatest hoax of all time. I wish I didn't know that. But the masses? Let them have something to keep them in check. It would be absolute chaos if they knew the truth.

not even 30 seconds in "Today just one god dominates believers...." that's curious....the hindu pantheon is a thing, as are the norse and greek, while any educated observer may opine that the desert dogmas all worship the same god (the god of moses, abraham and noah) the truth of it is that christians think Jesus is god, something with which both the jews and the muslims disagree. The muslims worship a god that is not co-equal with jesus... I am elated to see someone else hammering home the notion that they all worship the same god, (see above re: educated discourse) but you're factually incorrect the way you've presented it and perpetuating misunderstanding of an important subject live well

How are they demons, that's an terribly modern way at looking at things that's why modern religion is flawed, if you actually studied ancient gods you'd realize there worship don't preach hate and prejudice like our modern religions do we try so hard to prove who's God is better when that's all bullsh*t, we should look at it all as a different interpretation of the unknown it doesn't matter if it's ancient or modern they all originally had the same goal in mind, to bring people together, we should be proud of our differences and diversity in faith because it's truly beautiful and only gets more amazing the further you go back
