Why AMAD Diallo is a New BEAST for Manchester United!
Even in the darkest of times, you can find a silver lining. For Manchester United in this disastrous season, one of the brightest moments was Amad Diallo's progress.
Right now, we're going to tell you why Diallo, not Antony or Sancho, should become one of the symbols of the new Man United and how the Ivorian winger is turning into a real monster. Let's get started!
Making his way
In the winter of 2021, Manchester United paid Atalanta £20 million for the talented Amad Diallo. The average fan either didn't know anything about this player or only knew that he was a highly valued prospect, nothing more.
After all, the 19-year-old Amad had only 5 matches in senior football at the time and had no opportunity to introduce himself to a wide audience. So he went to Old Trafford without much pressure of expectations, but also with the need to prove himself as soon as possible. In the end, 20 million is a big investment.
At the beginning of the next season, Diallo suffered a thigh injury, so he had to undergo treatment and get fit, hence in the winter United decided that the best solution for the young player would be to go on loan.
Amad was picked up by Rangers, and this loan can be considered rather successful. The Ivorian was a player close to the starting lineup and received regular game time.
The result of this half of the year for him was 13 matches played and 3 goals scored. In addition, Amad won the Scottish Cup with Rangers, securing his first major trophy.
The Red Devils were pleased with the progress of their player and decided to loan him out for the entire 2022/23 season. Amad joined Sunderland, where he began to shine.
In fact, this was Diallo's first full season in senior football, and what a great one it turned out to be!
On a personal level, Amad made a breakthrough. He played 42 matches in all tournaments for the Black Cats, scoring 14 goals and making 4 assists. It took the Ivorian the first two months of the season to win a place in the starting lineup, after which he turned into a key player for the team.

During the season, Diallo not only got a lot of playing time, but also turned into a versatile player. Before that, he played mainly on the right wing of the attack. For the Black Cats, he played not only in this position, but also had many matches as a central attacking midfielder and center-forward.
All this impressed Ten Hag's coaching staff and the Ivorian went to the pre-season camp with ambitions to fight for his place in the United team. Especially since Diallo's rival was Antony, who failed in his first season.
That loan at Sunderland, he left that place a hero, an absolute god. He plays on the right-hand side too, a problem position for us, - United legend Rio Ferdinand praised Amad.
However, life had other plans. During pre-season camp, Diallo suffered a serious knee injury that left him out of action until the end of 2023. A big blow to the player's ambitions and the club's hopes.
I was in Sunderland where I did well and I wanted to come here and help my team. I got that injury and I was a little bit sad but now I want to forget that moment. It was one of my most difficult moments, - Diallo shared his feelings.
Of course, when Amad returned after a long, hard recovery, he didn't have a chance to get many opportunities to prove himself right away. Moreover, the situation at United was catastrophic and Ten Hag had no time to do experiments.
Over time, Diallo began to get his minutes on the pitch. The reasons for this were rather the terrible performances of rivals for the position and a large number of injuries within the squad. And it was important for the Ivorian to take advantage of his chance.
The star is rising
Amad's first landmark episode was the FA Cup quarterfinal match against Liverpool. That crazy game was very difficult for United. The team constantly had to come back, but it was Diallo's goal in added time in the second extra time that brought Manchester a magical victory over a fierce rival and a place in the semifinals.

I believe Amad's best position will be central attacking midfield. Amad and this group of young players are certainly United's future, we have many talented youngsters that will be a delight to watch in the very near future.

Great vid but you missed another young player out who’s been class his first season with 16 goals in all competitions in his first season with pressure on him due to price tag. Rasmus Hoijland. That’s 5 kids right there. Half a team. Paying dividends the academy this last 2-3 years with the FA Youth Cup team. The under 18s. Not to mention a treble from the under 14s which includes a superbly talented kid by the name of Rooney. Plus Carricks lad too.

Sorry but don’t be ridiculous. Best player since Eric ? Rooney, Ronaldo, Scholes, I could go on all day. He’s a great talent I admit but not the best since Eric. Nowhere near.
Diallo has always been a beast but the coach liked to play Anthony period.
There was so much that could have gone wrong in his quarter final goal but it didn’t.

Just said same. He missed a very good Hoijlund out of the kids. Only 20 and 16 goals in his debut season with huge pressure. He’s a fucking beast. Strong as an Ox , top movement , great finisher despite going games without goals but his hold up play is mint. Also his pace is electric but doesn’t look it due to him being 6 ft 3. Some potential top drawer players there who if they keep themselves grounded will just get better and better.

In fact I reckon with Amad the very first day he started to put on United Shirt. A beautiful headed goal with his back against the post. It was a European match. From there F20 million pound was sent on loan Rio Ferdinand was never a fan of Amad. Diallo but advocated for his offloading in favour of the Sweden black player of the youth team. I am a Ghanaian but when I saw the Potentials of this boy from Cote D' Ivoire I fall for him. For over a year I have been craving for this boy and even boasted in many write-ups that I have never been disappointed by any player I have supported to be maestro In fact Amad is one man soccer orchestra. In fact I stopped watching United matches because in view Anthonys' lack Lustre display. Ten Hag maybe a good coach but has not the aura to succeed in Manchester. One day I incidentally watched a match he was on the bench twice in subsequent matches which he didn't feature also.. I recently wrote that He is the Face of Manchester Utd now. For those who thinks highly of ETH😂😂😂He just a runner for the Glazers to cash in more money. Then buys all the useless players at high prices and gives the the play time they needed even they are a flop. If sitting at 8th position is something you guys are happy with😂😂then we will see another seasons of players leaving and dropped to bottom half ranking. He can utilize Amad when he came back from Rangers, instead he was send out on loan, so ETH can use Antony as his main player😂😂.

For the last 4 months I’ve simply not understood Ten Hag’s decisions with this kid. He had a gem sitting there and barely used him. Even after his match turning performance against Liverpool in the Cup.

@@abelmakoriNo need to be insulting. The writer makes a good point. We know Amad wasn’t fit until late December when he was brought on against Forest and put in a good cameo. The point is that Ten Hag barely used him. Preferring Antony, when even a blind man and his dog could see that Amad was vastly superior and desperately needed by the team.
