I've learned that things are gonna happen whether you're happy or not. We can't stop life events, unfortunately. I've also learned that when you're happier and something bad happens, it allows you to deal with these things in a healthier way. Wishing everything the best✨🙏

Its very interesting how you say one can not be angry and happy at the same time. When I feel myself getting angry over nonsense (replaying something stupid someone said) I force myself to smile and think, in the grand scheme it doesnt matter

My issue is that I have repressed memories but I have a knowingness that when I was showing my joy outward as a child, I was punished for it. Many years of sexual abuse by different family members but I only have maybe 3-5 specific memories over about 10 years!

We are going trough times ,when to be happy would be inappropriate . Actually I see people sill frighten or eventually looking for temporary escape , what is devastating in a long term . Question that's nature or nurture? From a biological point of view ,we are driven by surviving and reproduction needs ,not to be happy. Anyway persuading for happiness is like a chasing balloon or butterfly ,eventually life is like Irish summer ,which is stormy with some sunny splits .

I am a few minutes in to the video. I hope she goes into the shame response. I am ashamed and embarrassed by happiness. I can have moments of laughter and such, but it is the big events in life that I avoid. Dating is a no go. No parties. No get togethers. Christmas season is a bust, etc.
