Carole Traynor Because they weren’t related to Alexander II except as in laws, and very distantly at that. The British and Russian Imperial family became linked when Alexandra of Denmark and Dagmar (Marie) of Denmark married the heirs to the British and Russian thrones respectively (Alexander II’s legitimate son married Dagmar). Also it says Queen Mary gave her a pension, so they did the best they could for her. After all, it was not as if she was a Romanov directly related to them.

@@JudithSanchez-ht6jn Why then do so many migrants want to come to the UK rather than so many other places? Could it be we give them someone to live and pay their legal costs to stay here as well as feed them. Even those who later try to murder us!
