Decent video man. I own the later Polo GTi which has the 2L EA888 engine similar to the Golf. Just downtuned with a different combustion cycle. They also come with the 6 speed DSG gearbox which is a wet clutch. The previous generation had the dry clutch 7 speed which was unreliable due to wear from the heat. 7 speed DSGs are better suited for the normal TSIs which make much less power. The 7 speeds are smoother though especially at low RPMs, they just not built for taking a beating.

Yeah there actually proven reliable. They share a lot with other Vws too. Just expensive when things do go wrong
