Well said. I would also add integrity to that.. Not to be morbid, but the reality of the situation is it would be so much easier for someone in their 80s to just turn their head and look away from something they know isn’t right simply because they don’t want to rock the boat knowing the road in front of them is fractional when compared to the road behind.

Yes. I am Catholic. I got caught up in the evil J.W. Cult for about 19yrs. Early Church Fathers and church history brought me back to the Catholic Church. Long story brought up in the Church of England. Converted to the Catholic Church in the U.S.A. Lovely Catholic people made me feel so welcome. In August it will be 10yrs that I reconverted to the Catholic Church. J.W. Is an evil cult. Did me so much family damage.Long story. God bless this gentleman.

82 years old left the Jw's to which way between this 2 ? Matthew 7:13-14, and which church are true according to the Bible in this world? Because many churches are not true according to this scriptures, Matthew 7:21-23,Roman's 10;1-3,2Corintians 11:12-15,2thimoty 4:3-4,2Peter 2:1-3,1John 4:1.

Thank you Eric and Joss! I thoroughly enjoyed hearing Joss’s background and how he came to be one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and how he finally woke up after all those years! Sometimes it takes just one thing to compel us to do research. With my husband, it was in 2014 when they started to pass out slips of paper asking us to write down how much additional money we could donate each month as a “resolved monthly donation”. They claimed they needed to build more Kingdom Halls. To him it sounded like tithing and set him on the road to research. That was the beginning of the end of our 40 plus years as JWs. I have many family members of all ages who are still in so I try to remain hopeful that somehow something will jar them into waking up!

Do you all know what it means to plan? Having been part of the organization you should know that to print literature and distribute it worldwide takes a fair amount of money and manpower. With the increase in publishers, it takes more kingdom halls. More kingdom halls require funding and manpower to build them. Then there is disaster relief and the maintenance of existing buildings. Of course, it becomes necessary to house and feed all the workers. Do you think all this money mysteriously grows on trees or that the JW organization has an unlimited supply of funds? Some JW members have many excuses to quit. Luke talks about members of the Christian congregation who left. Luke 8:5-7 “A sower went out to sow his seed. As he was sowing, some of them fell alongside the road and were trampled on, and the birds of heaven ate them up. 6 Some landed on the rock, and after sprouting, they dried up because they had no moisture. 7 Others fell among the thorns, and the thorns that grew up with them choked them.

Aid to Bible Understanding is what convinced me these ppl do have the truth. I found out years later 2 most prominent men who worked on that book were disfellowshipped bc they learned things contrary to what the JWs teach/ believe. Bro Raymond Franz and I believe Ed Dunlap. They “ woke up” partially bc they learned what the Bible really teaches. Governing body wasn’t interested in learning what does the Bible really teach! What a coincidence the same book that convinced me they had the “ truth” 30+ years later those same ppl helped wake me up!

Thank you. I can definitely relate to Joss. I too never bought into the WT dated chronological stuff. The ministry always came first to me in my heart. I always felt we didn't have enough hard and fast information from the scriptures that pointed to certain dates. The scriptures state the opposite...we don't know when....only the father knows. I listened for 26 years of date talk by the WT and in my heart ignored it.

What Jeffery Jackson said at the commission will be explained away as spiritual warfare because its not a lie if they have no right to hear it. Now just imagine what would happen if a jw stood up during the wt study and said the same thing??? DF for sure, judicial committee would be formed and of course the whole congregation was a wittness. This double standard would be eye opening.

Jesus said: at John 6:57 ..........I live because of the Father............ Who is the father? John 1:18 KJV says: "No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him". This verse contradicts the idea that Jesus Christ came in the flesh as God. Jesus Christ made himself visible to the Jews.

Glad to see you use his Real name. If people only knew who Jehovah is, they would never use the name again. Yeshua is correct for Jesus, Yahuah is our Heavenly Father. Jehovah is Freemason God and God isn't a title, it's a demon and I have to stop saying it. It's very difficult coming out of the lie of JW and the world's lies as well.

I wish my dad would have a complete awakening like this. He won’t be an elder anymore because of the politics, doesn’t want to be involved in disfellowshipping. Says he has had his share of questions and doubts on how things are handled but doesn’t know where else he would go. So he says he’ll never leave. Makes me so sad. He’s too smart to believe all this. He’s going on 80 and I’m scared I’ll never be close to him again.

Im experiencing this with my father as well. He thinks im mad about the time I lost as a son from him being an elder. I just want him to stop valuing himself less than those men we call the GB. He's been a witness 50 plus years. He was one of the first elders when they created the modern elder arrangement. When i point out fallacies and inconsistencies he acts like he can't read or research anymore. I feel your pain so much. I literally debate going back to something I don't believe in to make my relationship with my parents better. So i can enjoy whatever time i have left with them.

I can’t let this cult disrupt my life anymore. We both agree that we are the ones that have to break the mold so that our children and their kids can have normal lives. Holidays, extracurricular activities, normal peer relationships, COLLEGE!! If they wish to. Not dragging them out on a Saturday morning to knock on strangers doors. Not living in fear and the biggest one, they can have a real relationship with God that is built on their own abilities to read the scriptures and then apply it to their lives. No governing body telling them what to think, or else….

It is funny you say that. So this is my father. And his decision to leave was something I never imagined. I think leaving any religion is a case that no one can convince you until you are ready to leave. I was fortunate that despite being DFd myself, my father still maintains a relationship with me. I can stress enough the huge deal that dad left. Thru the years he 💯 ahered to the society teaching and was known for his principles. So. With your own father, you just never know.

You mean like the "Millions Now living will never die" fantasy repeated well over 100 years ago?

The scripture that he talked about being changed is 2 Corinthians 5:20. That was wild!!! Substituting for Christ!!! That made me pull out my own KIT. I'll have to remember that for future talks with JWs.

I enjoyed hearing this brother's story in full, and look forward to the follow ups.

Sorry to jump in on your conversation but I’ll just give a bit of insight with regards what I’ve seen personally. I’m not a JW, I left after my mother and sisters left when I was 15 but from birth I was attending all meetings and going out on the doors so I retain a lot of Knowledge. My dad is still a JW and so are all of his friends so I’m fully up to date on their teachings. I wasn’t shunned by dad because I was never baptised so technically not actually a witness. I work in science and have always been an independent and free thinker. I decided to not take the jabs but didn’t try to influence anyone else either way including dad. The congregation he belongs to greatly encouraged everyone to have the vaccine. Only yesterday I was talking to a sister on the phone, who is lovely, and we got talking about the vaccine and she was whispering into the phone the reasons why she didn’t have it either. I asked why she was whispering and it was because she had just finished the ministry and didn’t want the others to overhear she hadn’t taken it for fear of being admonished. She’s 62 years old. It made me so cross because a lot of the older ones in the congregation have had awful side effects because they were forced to act like sheep, which as you know they are very callable of doing… I never try to “stumble” my dad because he’s nearly 80 and has been a witness since he was 21 so I just let him be but I do sometimes wish I could sit down and show him how he is being controlled by a few self appointed men who speak with forked tongues 😔. 🫶🏻.

I'm JW from Asia, I refuse COVID-19 vaccine,w/my wife,even elder convince,I believe Jehovah great always and protect his people in his own way not the influence of UN&WHO, I think always GB's leadership & the BIBLE, as of now there 'CHANGES' making is a subject of doubts and less of trust , I'm now 58 baptized in1983 & raised of Elder/RP mother, I don't expect these group of men making changes the teaching of IBSA, as of I never leave these organisation until Jehovah through King Jesus or kingdom rules even I'm not existing,in that time thanks!

Brilliant and detailed. Amazing how so many elders worldwide have experienced similar issues on the elder body.Essentially the organisation will not take any action against the elders who are bullies.I served in an elder body in London Ontario full of headstrong men who were quick to argue and counsel. The CO. John Kobiluk refused my request to investigate several elders behaviour regarding money donations and adultery citing lack of proof.Keep up the good work.

When I heard Chrisrian Brothers school my first thought was 😳😳They have actually apologised to their ex pupils for abuse etc and i thought explains why joss became a JW. He was also far from home and his "home" community in many ways which always makes JWs more appealing. So glad Joss is on the mendc& doing well.

I do think it’s interesting that he mentioned how loving the congregation was when he first visited. He said they were different from people that he knew. There is something about an organized, synchronous community, that worships the God of the Bible. If people are honest about it, it can be a very loving group… I wonder if other religions feel the same when they follow the Bible. Do Baptists all feel love amongst each other? Do Catholics all feel love amongst each other? Do Mormons all feel love amongst each other?… Of course there’s gonna be those who are problematic with any organization. I’m just making the observation that this gentleman and many others have made regarding the love, or someone would say “love bombing”… I miss the community aspect of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

I was the small chick that got picked on. Elders and missionaries had nothing better to do. It didn't feel like love.

What about the Paradise earth. If it doesn’t come Jehovah has failed, he would be a failed and responsible for all the suffering ever to befall mankind, because he could have stopped it. It has to come whether you leave Jehovahs people or not, you can’t change his purpose. He brought the flood to show he is a God of justice and gah a purpose to restore the earth and mankind in the recreation. That’s why we all are on earth and not in an imaginary heaven now or after death.

No. Shunning goes beyond that command. It requires every JW to refuse to even talk to or acknowledge a human being is the local elders tell them to do so. So, even if a person has not committed any of the sins found at 1 Corinthians 5:11-13, but instead has stood up for what is truthful, he will be shunned. I'm not very interested in who's wrong or right. I'm just disappointed whether those who are in or out of the truth has no love. Living with vrain damage for more than a decade, none of the jws reached out to me asking if I need help. Very reluctantly only when I asked but still not much assistance was rendered. I'm more interested in whether rhe new world will really come literally. Whether the jws or non jws, are right doesn't seem to matter to me anymore. It's exhausting to live with health damages, and no one really cares. Those who are healthy and fit or young and strong in mental health can still leave the organisation but I doubt the old and weaker ones can leave. Their grip and social support are, all rooted there. I'm just awaiting for the end of my life journey or either the new world if it's true. Do u all still believe the Almighty is still Jehovah or Yaweh?

Yes, God is real. But also what is real is Eric's bible study group. I too have been neglected, and finding this group to study with has changed my life for the better in a hundred ways. I've found true friendships, real spiritual support, learning bible truth for really, the first time. And the love is so apparent. I know I'm not speaking for myself. It's not an 'organization' or a 'movement' no. We work very hard to emulate how the first Christians studied. In spirit and truth. That's my real only thoughts to your situation is if you are looking for real down to earth loving and kind folks, that's where I would love to see you find for yourself the validity of my comment. @mrgraham9007, but do you not realize that the great tribulation of Revelation 14:7 is now? We are all being put through tribulation, a testing or refinement, that results in our being approved or rejected. We can't use human imperfection as an excuse. Faith and obedience and love are not dependent on being perfect. Perfection is achieved by exercising faith, love, and obedience.

Even a Christian cannot brush aside the worship of Jehovah as God. In Revelation 1:5 the Son of God called himself "Jesus Christ, 'The Faithful Witness.'" When on earth as a man he was a Jew, an Israelite, to whose nation the words of Isaiah 43:10 were written: "' You are my witnesses, 'is the utterance of Jehovah, 'even my servant whom I have chosen.'" Jesus demonstrated that he was a faithful and true witness of Jehovah God. His genuine disciples today must be the same kind of witnesses Jehovah's.

You blatantly contradict the explicit statements and commandments in Revelation according to which all true worshipers of the New Covenant are referred to as "witnesses of Jesus." I was baptized in 1977. I dedicated my life in faith to do God's will as revealed through Jesus Christ as declared in his holy word the bible. It was not a vow as Jesus himself cautioned in at Matt 5: 33-37. I stand before the Judgement seat of Christ. He will judge whether I am living up to my dedication.

Question to JWS ? = Why is the so called Jehovah's earthly organization (Jworg.) run and governed over by false prophet apostates whom the bible warns about (1John 4:1) and says to not listen to . The fact also that the bible says that being a false prophet is one the most condemning things to be where no redemption or salvation is awarded. Revelation 20:10 ...... And the Devil who was misleading them was hurled into the lake of fire and sulphur, where both the wild beast and the false prophet already were and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

It is run by humans who think they are doing the right thing and believe that they alone know the truth. None of them have ever left "the truth" and gone on to other religions...and then returned to be governing body members. They may have left other religions to become JWs. So, I've no idea what you're talking about. Maybe you could refine apostates, because I think you have something wrong.

Ezekiel 38:10-12. 2 Corinthians 11:13-15. Matthew 13:38-42. 2 Peter 2:1. Matthew 23:2,3. 2 Corinthians 2:11. I also stepped down as an Elder (Psalms 1:1), The Wheat and the Weeds are not separated until the conclusion of this system. This is our warfare (Ephesians 6:10-12). Matthew 24:15,16. Revelation 2:9,13. 3:9. 4:1. All these things must take place. Not only is this where we learned the Truth, but Satan knows it’s the Truth also. Don’t let him (It) win (Luke 21:28). Jesus still went to the Temple even though it was was full of false teachers who eventually killed him.
