I’ve had bcm mlok rail covers fall off while shooting several times,i swapped to using the magpul ones that have the center part that pops in and locks it in place. The best I’ve found that aren’t a million bucks are the slate black industries mlok covers, they use mlok screws to lock on.

@@ComeOnPelican91 Yup, phosphate BCG's from Microbest in particular are some of the best around. If you look in the right places, you won't be paying more than $120 bucks or so. Arftac and AR15 discounts routinely have them on sale for under $100 bucks. Hell PSA's "Fathers of Freedom" is a Microbest with sprinco springs already installed.

I’ve had several low quality aero parts and seen tons of bad parts on forums and the aero FB page. The excuse i heard is they pumped out a bunch of parts as fast as they could to cover them while they moved to a bigger facility. IMO any company that sacrifices quality to keep profit going while moving isn’t a company i want to deal with but i don’t really know if that’s true. But the bad quality I’ve seen is enough to keep me away. A lot of people bash anderson but I’ve had less issues with them than i have aero and anderson is a fraction the price.

This is my opinion based on anecdotal experience. The sight radius is too arrow on something like this for it to be useful for anything other than a gross sight picture. This is similar to the sights that came on the top of the Trijicon: ACOG TA01NSN www.trijicon.com/products/details/ta01nsn In theory it's great, in execution it is nothing more than a very loose way of knowingly, roughly, which direction your weapon is pointed. You can do the same by looking through a dead optic and bracketing the front sight post, or even your raised thumb inside the optic, and pulling the trigger.

Warren, try using a heavy buffer like the SOB from Griffin Armament. That should slow it down enough to be bearable. If that doesn't give you better results then consider a superlative arms adjustable gas block. That's what I'm using on this upper, and it works really well.

Slow your gun down with a really have buffer like this one from Griffin: aimsurplus.com/products/griffin-armament-ar-sob-suppressor-optimized-buffer This one Spikes is heavier is you need to go there. Your casings should be ejecting around the 3 - 4 o'clock positions. Antying forward of the 3 is too much gas. Spikes T-2: aimsurplus.com/products/spikes-tactical-st-heavy-buffer-t3-5-5-oz

I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but yes, piston guns don't age well. There is a reason that most ranges that rent machine guns don't run piston guns. They run direct impingement guns instead. The greatest lie told to the AR-15 industry was told by H&K, back when they released the HK416. They said "the AR-15 has finally been fixed..." Those of us who build AR-15's went "what, since when is the AR-15 broken?" The AR-15 is way too high pressure to run on pistons. That is why op rods crack and or bend and strike keys fail. AR-15's were meant to run on DI systems and AK's were meant to run on pistons. The two should never cross paths.
