1.17 added blocks, mobs and items but didn't tweak generation while 1.18 massively overhauled all generation and was a massive update.

1.16 in my opinion is still much bigger than 1.21, due to it overhauling everything in the nether.

I want 1.21 now!

Yeah it's a bigger update than the last few, but the BIGGEST? Not really, 1.16, 1.13, and even 1.14 were bigger than this. Though I hope this is a sign that we can return to the glory days of the nether update, in terms of update quality.

Objectively speaking 1.21 is nowhere close to the biggest update Also Mojang has said Microsoft has not much influence over them

mojang doesnt make their animations, they hire element animation, and while mojang tells them what to do, element animation does most of the work i think
