Whopper Plopper 75 Float And Fish Smallmouth And Pike

Спорт

My friend Jacob and I head out to the river for a fun day of floating and fishing with the Whopper Plopper 75. Lots of bass caught and even a couple bonus pike get in on the Plopper action!

Watching how you handle pike always gives me a confidence boost for handling them. They're such beautiful creatures but man I get a little intimidated by them. You display the balance of healthy respectful distance while still being able to hands on ensure their proper release. So much kudos.

I think he uses nearly all 6' rods. These help with his accuracy where many of us, myself included, go for longer rods for picking up the slack better in the current and for making longer casts in clear water... however, after watching many of his videos, I've begun to rethink how I gear up.

That stretch was very scenic👀 Thanks for taking me along👍Been awhile without a yak in flowing water here, drought conditions, hopefully the remnants of the hurricane last week helped my cause. Even though I've yet to catch a fish on the 90 Whopper Plopper, I'm going to pickup some 75 after watching this, looks like it works better. I'm kinda disappointed in the 90- wish I'd bought 110's instead.

With the Whopper ploppers the action and size definitely is more important than color I only carry three different colors black for dirty water white for cloudy water and clear for clear water. I love them beefy little plopper 75s the sound and vibration they give off make the fish aggressive. Great video as always you sure tare them a new one when you're on the water I enjoy the beautiful scenery and fish that's why I watch every video. Good luck on the water and God bless.

Great river, grass looks amazing to fish. I can't help wondering what an upstream wade would do versus kayaking. The noise from boats spooks a lot of fish and drifting with a fish on line can push the boat through more fish. Great content. IN Indiana, I mostly wade until cold months.

You only need 3 lures for river fishing. 1) Mepps Black Fury 2) Rapala jointed minnow (silver or northern pike color) 3) clearance bin shallow running rattling squarebill shad crankbait (offwhite with green back). If those 3 don't work you can try an old fasioned silver and blue spoon. If that don't work, there's no fish in the hole.

@@GoatyHerps Thank you. I consider it a rough draft. Buying Go pro Thursday and hitting the water Saturday. Everyone uses so many camera mounts. You and the head mount gives the best perspective. Puts you in the yak and not watching someone else in a yak. LOL. Will be the way I do it for sure.

@@ncyakangler1689 - Well, that's true, but it also gives a nice perspective on the fight to have a third person angle. Also gives the viewers a chance to see your technique and learn from it or offer advice on improvements. You can worry about all of that later once you've got the editing down, or not at all. Your channel, do it your way! Head mount is a great angle, though, for sure. Don't forget it's about fun. If your videos ever start feeling like work, leave the camera home and hit the water without us.
