Whopper Plopper 75 Float And Fish Smallmouth And Pike
Спорт
My friend Jacob and I head out to the river for a fun day of floating and fishing with the Whopper Plopper 75. Lots of bass caught and even a couple bonus pike get in on the Plopper action!

Watching how you handle pike always gives me a confidence boost for handling them. They're such beautiful creatures but man I get a little intimidated by them. You display the balance of healthy respectful distance while still being able to hands on ensure their proper release. So much kudos.
are we not gonna talk about your flawless casts??? Great vid!!

I think he uses nearly all 6' rods. These help with his accuracy where many of us, myself included, go for longer rods for picking up the slack better in the current and for making longer casts in clear water... however, after watching many of his videos, I've begun to rethink how I gear up.

You never know till you try. Everyone says the fishing sux in my local river but I catch something every time. It's not always a honey hole but there's fish in the strangest places. Try that drainage ditch or pond you never know what's in there.
Love river smallie fishing, I have recently started to figure out the smallies in my local rivers and man oh man are they fun to catch. Great video, keep it up👍

Another awesome 👌 video, just got my whoppler popplers in the mail, will be trying them next weekend.
I think I've watched this video about eight times now. What a day. Thank you.
You're sitting casting skills are top notch... you put that plopper within a foot of the bank every time!
That stretch was very scenic👀 Thanks for taking me along👍Been awhile without a yak in flowing water here, drought conditions, hopefully the remnants of the hurricane last week helped my cause. Even though I've yet to catch a fish on the 90 Whopper Plopper, I'm going to pickup some 75 after watching this, looks like it works better. I'm kinda disappointed in the 90- wish I'd bought 110's instead.
@ndyakangler

The 75 will replace the 90 as my go to size for smallmouth. Less rolling and line twist and much more consistent and better action from the tail.
I've seen you reel in enough fish that you've sold me on the whopper plopper! Gotta get a few of those!
Love your approach to how you fish. Awesome fun. Makes me me ss living in the very northern Wisconsin
Always enjoy your videos...no gimmicks.
It almost feel like I was on the river with you guys, what a day out on the water...so jelaous its January cold as ice.

Really enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing.
With the Whopper ploppers the action and size definitely is more important than color I only carry three different colors black for dirty water white for cloudy water and clear for clear water. I love them beefy little plopper 75s the sound and vibration they give off make the fish aggressive. Great video as always you sure tare them a new one when you're on the water I enjoy the beautiful scenery and fish that's why I watch every video. Good luck on the water and God bless.
Dude your vids are the best out by far. I've been fly fishing for years and you got me hooked on this type of fishing. Just bought my first yak today a Big fish 120 and as soon as I feel good at it in heading your way to buy you breakfast

Great video Matt! Was truly an awesome day - I'll probably never catch more smallmouth in a day than that (still have 2 hours of video to condense)
I'm just starting to learn the River by me, it's got some decent Smallmouth fishing in it too, with some Northerns and occasional muskie. I think next year ours I'll be about the size of what you're catching, or maybe this year. I love seein you releasing them, I do the same, except for walleyes and panfish. Holy crap man I’ve never seen someone catch that many smallmouth on a whopper plop! That’s awesome though small mouth are by far my favorite fish 🎣
11:57 the song of my people! love when the rods make that noise lol
Great river, grass looks amazing to fish. I can't help wondering what an upstream wade would do versus kayaking. The noise from boats spooks a lot of fish and drifting with a fish on line can push the boat through more fish. Great content. IN Indiana, I mostly wade until cold months.
Literally my favorite videos to watch on KZread
5:19 thats the best laugh ever

heck yeah what a day. fishing for blizzard now were talking haha. I just posted my first time taking the WP75 out for largies. and used it last week on the smallies it worked much better in the current than the 90 I think. man waiting for a musky to nail the WP. wish they would make all the colors in all the sizes. the chubby color is my favorite but they only make it in the 130 and 190 I think. keep slaying them and be safe
@ndyakangler

I was on a musky lake Friday throwing a 190 in the “Lucy” color similar to the redhead color of my spooks, had a mid 40’s follow it up but turned away about 5ft from the kayak. One of these days I’ll hook into one! Probably when I’m out targeting bass lol.
So who had to buy the blizzards? What an amazing day of fishing. You do realize snow your gonna make buy a “WP 75”. Great video again.

@@gamesofcontent lol. You only need 3 lures for river fishing. 1) Mepps Black Fury 2) Rapala jointed minnow (silver or northern pike color) 3) clearance bin shallow running rattling squarebill shad crankbait (offwhite with green back). If those 3 don't work you can try an old fasioned silver and blue spoon. If that don't work, there's no fish in the hole.

@@ncyakangler1689 - Well, that's true, but it also gives a nice perspective on the fight to have a third person angle. Also gives the viewers a chance to see your technique and learn from it or offer advice on improvements. You can worry about all of that later once you've got the editing down, or not at all.
