The one and only winners are: The father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. That preached to me, saved me, and make me preach, go to church, sing to God. Thank you Jesus that you have made me understand this mistery.

That is what ALL OF THIS is for...the glorifying of GOD, THE FATHER, THE SON AND THE HOLY SPIRIT, through the gifts/talents He has given these amazing, loving, caring Artists. Why do you feel you must turn this into a negative, when it is NOT?

Wow I love all those nominated worship songs, they're all really anointed!!! I think God blesses every worship song made to honour Him, and whether they were nominated or win anything doesn't matter, because that's not why they were written. The reward is knowing that God created something through you and that you've blessed someone else with His creation :)

Previous month I was able to gather my first five figure income ever!!! I've been working for this provider online for 2 yrs now and I never been happier... They are paying me $95 per hour, and the most important thing about that is the fact that I am not that tech-savvy, they only asked for standard knowledge about internet and elementary typing skill...The best thing about it is that I have more time with my kids. I am in a position to devote quality time with my relatives and buddies and take care of my children and also going on holiday with them very often. Don't let pass this opportunity and try to respond quick. This is what I do... *revenue39.com*

Performance or worship? In my opinion, I don't see the importance of receiving awards for a song.. God is the one who inspired us to do it, we can't take not a bit of glory, give God ALL THE GLORY. All love, all peace

You do NOT 'get it'...These 'performers' ARE WORSHIPING THE LORD WITH THEIR MUSIC, THEIR SONGS, THEIR HEART AND SOULS. WHY, WHY is it so wrong for them to be applauded by real Christians WHO are moved closer to the Lord in worship through their songs??? They offer their 'gifts' of music and song to GIVE ALL GOD THE GLORY! Why are you taking this away from them?

Smh to the comments section. We can't even honor the talents that God gave these beautiful people? God is an extravagant God. The 'world' has all those other award shows and we give them awards because we appreciate the hard work they do. Those awards are hard work. And were okay with it. But with God's children we cant give them that applause? Why? He cant show the world that He got the most talented people in the world? cant He tell the world, He was the person behind these songs? That He himself birthed these songs? God too is an artist. He created the universe. And He deserves all the praise. He loves our praises tho He never needs it. His children put in a lot of effort, prayer, and hardwork to what they do. For all we know these people don't even care if they win the award because they know in their heart Jesus is their greatest reward. Please. This is one way of honoring our artist. Let's not put this in our religious boxes.

Dove awards is global. But awarding is no sin. Its appreciation for Gods servants and giving glory to God. In heaven we are to be awarded crowns. In every community we live in, if we are to judge angels on the day of judgement, we cant fail to appreciate that this song has really ushered us into Gods presence more than the other.

There's a spirit of competition and pride understandable in awards like the Grammys or MTV's because it's from the world and that's what the world is. But for the Dove's award it would good for everyone to leave the awards (best song, best new artist...) and gather all together for a mega concert with moments of prayer, a short preach and why not an evangelization. It would beneficial for all of them but more, above all, for the glory of Christ.

I will never understand the negative judgement of so many of these commenting. Who are you to show such disdain for how an individual worships? One can worship on their knees in silent prayer, people can worship with bowed heads as they are ministered to by the words of a preacher, and alone or as a chorus of people, you can sing of his love and glory. I believe our Lord hears that chorus with the same love he hears a whispered prayer.

But it is also a chance for people to show their appreciation to people who came together with them to create something which has helped alot of people draw closer to god. And if you actually listened to the song, the whole song is about how they dont feel worthy to be part of gods family, but that they know despite how they feel, its God they listen too. Lighten up people, enjoy great music and focus on your own journeys in faith.

Honestly, I understand awards for contemporary Christian music, like for radio, but songs intended for worship Jesus Christ should not be pitted against each other in a competition...makes me think of when two disciples wanted to know who would be greatest in His kingdom...they were rebuked. Not to mention the fact that the song that won is not a worship song....it is all about US. I mean, nothing like singing to yourself with hands raised in surrender to yourself. Unbelievable. Lord, have mercy on us. May we return to you with hearts that worship in Spirit AND truth.

I respectfully disagree....the CHRISTIAN CONTEMPORARY MUSIC HAS BROUGHT SO MANY PEOPLE TO GOD, TO WORSHIP HIM, TO LISTEN, TO APPRECIATE THE GLORY OF OUR GOD. PLS DO NOT PUT DOWN THESE CHRISTIAN ARTISTS, AS THEY ARE DOING GOD'S WORK IN BRINGING PEOPLE TO HIM TO WORSHIP! Stop trying to act as if it only a competition, as Christians watching, all have their favorites, and it is ALL GOOD!

No one thanked God Almighty?! The very One who gave them breath and life and the talents. I am hearing a few mentions of “breaking barriers” and keeping to what is “uniting” and not dividing us...... well God’s Word can do both. And He will one day separate the sheep’s from the goats. Sin divides or separates us from fellowship with God. What barriers are they so proud of breaking?? While unity is good what are they accepting to have that? I get this underlying feeling they are secularizing Christian music and the beliefs of the Christ following walk.

I have always said it, everything that is not to sing the praise with the heart, to praise and honestly honor God, for having known him, for thanking him for saving us, but for honoring him with humility, and for giving him the glory that only belongs to him. He, the deviation of man, is so fragile that these things happen, just by singing and not reading and hearing the word of God. Brothers, let's be obedient, we must cleanse ourselves of everything in the world. I don't say that the songs are not beautiful, but let's not secularize these things like those of the world, please, it's not correct. What do you think God would say while he sees you, how they boast about each other, how we differentiate ourselves from the unsaved? Let's be wiser, humble and grateful to Our good God. "Let God be the driver of your whole life." "God allows you to succeed because He trusts you will do the right thing with him. Now, He, is he often disappointed? All the time, because people come to success and forget how he got it. " (Steve Harvey) Blessings. !!

Awards in this life, fame for themselves vs treasures in heaven n glory for God. I cant believe that there are award shows...i cant question their heart n motives, but I do have a check in my spirit about all of these artists. God, help us.

@@ErinDavila76 are you referring to the multiplying aspect of the parable? If so, I dont believe that the multiplying is about multiplying what God gave you for your glory. I'm not saying God doesnt/isnt using the music, but, even in the multiplying, is it yet about God's glory or glorifying ourselves?

It's ok to have talent. If you don't use it you lose it. In their case they are using it and getting rewarded for it. Why is it bad to be rewarded? We get rewards in heaven too for the things we did for him. I think you should be careful in trying to assume anyone's motives. Only God knows that. Jesus said if they are for me they aren't against me and to leave them alone.

@@ErinDavila76 what I hear you saying is that the rewards are the fruit of their talent given by God and putting it to use, am I wrong, or how do you view the awards being given? to me, an award is like glorifying the person for their talent and being the most favored by votes. maybe we both have different viewpoints on what being awarded means. what i see is people being glorified for the talent God gave them, but 1 cor. 10:31 says, "therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God" I didnt hear in this speech, or another artist's speech mention Jesus, glorifying Him. as for rewards in heaven for the things we do Matthew 6:1-6 may be one of the passages you're referring to, or Matthew 6:16-20 as another place talking about rewards in heaven. all of the things done are done in secret, unknown, not trying to gain the attention of others, and then the "Father who sees in secret will reward you" what I see is that God doesnt want us doing any work for our gain, acknowledgement, reward, etc, but if we do, we get our earthly, temporary reward. as for me assuming anyone's motives, I wrote, "I cant question their heart and motives..." so I never did assume, but I am sharing something i think would be wise to be cautious about. heres why, jesus said to test all spirits(1john 4:1), not everyone who comes to him saying, "lord, lord...(we did all of these things(heal the sick, cast out demons) will enter the kingdom of heaven) Matthew 7:21-23. so, for anyone, pastors, other unknown Christian's, famous Christians, everyone, I dont just believe what they say. you can tell a tree by its fruit, but even satan can quote scripture. I'm just cautious. also, could you give me a scripture reference for your last sentence?

It okay to honour the hard work that people have done. It is not a bad thing. It's good to give recognition and honour where it is due. We all know that God deserves the highest honour because He gives us the talent but I know He is not mad or even concern about the award given His people. Lighten up and live a little!
