LOVE THIS!! THEY SOUND JUST LIKE THE 1968 CLASSIC. THEY WERE FANTASTIC. AS A MIDDLE SCHOOLER, WE HAD TO LEARN ALL THE MUSIC FROM "OLIVER" AND THIS WAS ONE OF MY FAVS🤗!!! THEY SOUND ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!!

The song's opening is perfect. The woman who dances with the basket of roses, such a sad look. I sent an emial to my brother with the following observation. This rendition focuses on the song, not the dance. In the play there are many more players, the women all attired in bright clothes. The opening as done in this rendition is perfect. A destitute woman looking to sell a rose( or milk) to the wealthy. The bright gay colors and Oliver's new-found joy and hope clash with the extreme poverty of the working classes that Dickens knew all to well from his youth. At any rate, I was struck by the woman's somber cast.

One of my favorite underrated gems from a great score. (Though I wish they'd kept the big production-number part in this version.) Now, how about Oliver for the next live TV musical?

Beautifully sung, but k8nd of a cheat in terms of theatrical representation. Maybe I was myself disappointed because I was looking for a professional stage version. Grrat video though .

This dose't work for me, they don't mell together at all, just awkward. One thing became clear, Hayley was not suited to 'musical's'. This was reinforced when she recorded 'West Side Story' a couple of years later, not one of her big seller's.
