I never comment on KZread videos but such efforts need to be lauded. Such a fact based, data driven, and logically sound discourse is exactly what we need. This helped me massively in my understanding so thank you so much. I really really hope you continue to talk about political economy if not through this platform then maybe in another dedicated space. We need more voices that are humanising all sides and try to give an objective version of events. You talked about how public sentiment is becoming a major variable then such discourses help in shaping that sentiment so this work becomes critical and much-needed. God bless you!

Salam brother, i wanted to add that i moved to Uk in late 2022 and since then i have acquired a job as solicitor and what i see in uk especially in Corporate job market is that we as Pakistanis simply do not have a strong foothold nor a reputation to have access to good jobs in Uk primarily due to how we are viewed similarly if i talk about other nationality such as Indian nationals due to how they are being represented by their native state they do have higher probability of acquiring high paid job in Corporate job market. Even if they don't really measure up to the established merits though that is not in majority of cases but cases like that do exist. What i would like to see as overseas Pakistani is that our government needs to have strong presence in globally so that we are not looked down. As i can quote many examples where mere nationality have huge impact on the employer of they will hire you or not. Hopeing things would change this term. JazakAllah.

@SamSamson4567 that is true but when im talking about job market in uk the question of education seems pointnless cause most of us including indians go through same system of education and perform the same but due to one country has bigger foot print then the other employer just like people have more preference over the other. This is very prominent in companies Like TATA in uk there i can see why they would prefer it but in other places a countries position do have huge impact on the lives of people and their chances of Employment.

@SamSamson4567 yes i completely agree with that. there is huge investment from the Indian government on their people which is good thing aswell as they have also put themselves on a global map which benefits even them , same thing i need to see from pakistan. so we can also can fight on the same level field. Right now situation is extremely like for example currently the poles on cease fire on gaza isreal conflict. even the liberal party has voted against cease fire which muslim use to by in large use to vote for them and now this demonstrates how muslim countries in general have no pull in global politics. pakistan included

India invested in IITs, BHEL, BEL, ITI, BEML, HMT, IDL, IDPL, SAIL, NTPC, ONGC GAIL etc etc during the time of Nehru. This is something that Pakistan did not do. Read up the full forms of these govt companies. The IT sector was all promoted by ex BEL and ITI people. The huge huge Pharmaceutical industry was all started by ex IDL and IDPL. . Many public sector companies failed, many provided manpower to the MNCs that came to India, Many provided the entrepreneurs for budding industry ie IDL, IDPL etc. Pakistan has a very robust skilled workers who manufacturer small industrial goods in cottage industry. This is your treasure. You also need to move up the agriculture value chain, IT development is must. Machine tools is must because Pakistan has amazing skills which even India doesn't have, Auto industry ancillary is possible.

Fantastic episode! I wasn't aware of politics till last year but from the last 8-10 months I have been following what are the variables inside and outside Pakistan that are contributing to Pakistani politics and economy. The rationality and logic presented in the video is just insane and it is amazing that how all of it makes sense! Even there are people today who believe that public will forget all of the recent happenings in the future. I think they do not understand the power of access to information. So, unless the Shark rips apart all the internet cables and does not allow the new cables to be laid, change is inevitable.

From this video, the core point highlighted is"why someone supports someone" Why PMLN supporters support Nawaz Shareef, Why PTI supporters support Imran Khan, and likewise. Now, I have started to think that the fault isn't in the leaders we support but in ourselves. We support them because they think just like ourselves. When we start to think about ourselves, our lives, and our surroundings, things become clear what we want to achieve in the future and why are we supporting someone.
