It was also on the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence too, being July 4th 1776 they both died in 1826… pretty crazy it was such a big anniversary!

Right off the back 0:17 I learned something interesting. Having your dad, who was also president, die while your in office would suck. This is also the only time something like this happened because the only other parent/child duo of presidents would be the Bushes, and HW lived another decade after his son left the White House.

Only 4 of the ones who died in office were assassinated. Harrison worked himself to death, Taylor got sick from the poor sanitation in DC, Harding didn't take care of his heart, and FDR had been in office a long time by that point.

Jimmy Carter is probably going to die in Trump's second term, but I wonder if Joe Biden will as well. Since like late 2022, Joe Biden has been slowly acting more and more like my grandfather who had dementia in the last few years of his life. It's kinda sad. Especially given how much he's in denial, but it's so painful to watch because his mind is just not there anymore.
