i think it's badass that he had enough money and made enough to buy a house and a damn nice one and still, he stayed in his apartment and didn't fancy up at all. just saved his money and used it to LIVE and buy things he wanted and saw places he wanted and did what he wished and didn't fancy up his living establishment, buying cars and bigger things. Stayed rooted and very grounded. Now THATS humble.

70 years is a pretty good lifespan for someone who partied like he did.

I said the exact same thing. So many friends of mine didn't make it 30 or 40, and they didn't even do nearly as much as he did. I had to stop partying because i had enough. Seems like it's always the best that leave this world, it's never the scumbags, the ones who won't be missed.

Got to admit I choked up a bit on this one. Lemmy was honestly one of the most beautiful caring humans I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. I don't know how many times I've sat at that bar talking with the man and a few hours later taking more steps sideways than forward to get over to Clark Street leaving Lemmy completely unfazed. We talked everything from WWII to how I was doing coping with the loss of a very dear friend to suicide. He had a genuine desire to know and help any way he could. It was about 6 months after I met Lemmy there that I met Sammy and both had a huge impact on me. To this day I say say that Lemmy was the most honest, approachable and genuine rock icon there ever will be.

I met Lemmy in 1993 in the Rainbow bar & grill in Hollywood. The next time I was there I didn’t even see him but he bought my friend and I some drinks and had them sent over. As a guy that doesn’t happen too often. Awesome human being

I went there in 2015, and they charged me 50 bucks for a few shots & a burger. Lame...

I love how Lemmy basically lived in the same place for most of his life, a West Hollywood apartment close to the Bo. I love that area of Sunset Boulevard. Crazy he lived as long as he did. Lemmy really was a simple guy, cigarettes and booze and a downhill walk to his favorite bar. I love it

I saw Motorhead performing at Irvine Meadows in the late 1980's. The whole stage was decked out with large coffins sized speakers from the 1970's. I had hearing damage for 2-3 years after that. My ears kept ringing. He was classic.

Grew up in West London and got into HW in 80s. Lemmy was a fixture at gigs & down Portobello ; played pool doubles with him once, 'chasing' Wendy from Transvision vamp around table. Never got to ask him if he potted the black on that one. Was a lovely human being. A gentleman.

Later on live versions of Ace of Spades, Lemmy would replace the lyric "and don't forget the Joker" with "But, apparently I am." So now its... So sad still...but Lemmy probably was the only human being ever who lived his live completely on his own terms! I don't think there really are more than a handfull of people in history who can say that. So Lemmy lead a lucky life. That makes his passing more easy. He had a great life. One of the biggest personalities in history!

I'm surprised with that lifestyle he lived till 70, thankyou Jordan and Earle enjoyed listening x

I was an usher at that! My ex to this day co manages Motorhead and although we hand't talked in years she reached out and said "Earl you are the only one I know who will know all the musicians on site so can you usher...?" Some funny antectodes -Gene Simmons wanted to sit in the front and his assigned seat I think was in the 7nth row. Put it this way he ended up in front. -Bob Kulick RIP literally would not get out of Slash's seat so when Slash arrives with this gigantic body guard(who by chance I knew from the gym)I thought what am I going to do next? I go to my ex and said "Bob won't get out of Slash's seat and put it this way Bob got out of Slash's seat when my ex had a conversation with him. The only other caveat is I did such a good job at the funeral a few months later the bass player from Dio Jimmy Bain passed and Wendy Dio who helped with Lemmy's funeral told my ex "get that guy who did Lemmy's funeral back we need him!"

I worked with Lemmy on a film in 2001 (Gaffer)... "Down and Out With the Dolls" 8AM call time, Lemmy arrives on set. By 8:02 one of the PA's was off to get a fifth of Jack Daniels and a quart of chocolate milk. One of the most interesting days of filming I've ever experienced!!!

I always loved his collaborations with Wendy O. Forever a legend.

The rock legend that lived that rock life to its fullest x2. Thanks for showing these places that meant a lot in Lemmy's life and now in his after life.

Great vlog, really enjoyed it. I’ve seen Motörhead live about a dozen times, and have met Lemmy on half of those occasions. He was a funny, generous and cool guy, and I miss going to see him. Same goes for Ronnie James Dio. Rest in Peace, Legends!

Thank you for doing this vlog on Lemmy. Didn’t know anything about him. He was one of a kind. Enjoyed hearing Earl talk about his friendship with Lemmy. Wow, just found this. Motorhead still and will always be one of my fav bands! Caught them LIVE 5 times, caught one of Lemmys picks, but never got to meet him. Saw one of his final few shows in 2015 before he passed, he played the show even though he was told not to. Great job Lion, I want to visit his final resting spot so bad!! R.I.P. LEMMY

I met Lemmy in Camden a few times. The first time I saw him he had a trail of teen metal fans following him like the Pied Piper. Obviously a legend musically but also a super intelligent conversationalist.

He and I used to discuss the differences between WW1 and WW2 sometimes. Super-informed about war craft of that theater.

Man I loved England when I went. I met a gentleman he worked at the Cinema and he told me all his young metal days in England and told me about meeting Lemmy and seeing a lot of live metal bands. I still have to visit the Iron Maiden pub at the east end didn't get a chance when I was there, or the Hammersmith Odeon but after this Covid I'll be back to England I fell in love! @@melvinmarroquin1048 I'm from The East End of London. Two pubs have strong links with Iron Maiden. The Cart & Horses in Stratford. And The Ruskin Arms . Manor Park. Which they played in and Paul Di Anno used to drink in sometimes after he left Iron Maiden.

I ran into Lemmy on the street one day here in San Diego California a few months before he died. Was a surreal experience. I never did know why he was here in SD.

Great vlog! I didn’t know much about Lemmy until today. It was so interesting to hear stories from someone that spent time with him. Very well put together.

Definitely watch the documentary "Lemmy"!

I visited the The Rainbow two years ago and they let my friend and I go inside the restaurant and order Pizza. The waitress showed us the bar area inside where Lemmy would sit and play the video games. I believe they made a makeshift memorial for him in the outside bar area. This is a relatively new addition to the Rainbow. Jordan I enjoyed this video and all your LA history videos- Thank You!

This was Ace Of Spades!! Thank you so much for this one Jordan, this one was so very dear to my heart... I balled during his memorial....we miss you Lemmy.......The whole COVID thing has really put a damper on my life especially since my son is immuno compromised from a rare genetic condition requiring that I basically isolate much more then your average person...I miss going out, but your vlogs help so much thank you!

I love this one, thank you, Lemmy and me share a birthday, I love the story of when he checked into the hospital when he was sick under the name Justin Incase.

Lemmy's son did make me chuckle at his service when he told the story of how he went to see him in hospital but the receptionist said they did not have anyone by that name in the hospital and Lemmy had checked himself in under the name Justin Case (if like me you have listened to No Sleep Til Hammersmith then you will know that is how Lemmy introduced the song Motorhead so i think it was quite fitting to check out with that name

When I was 17 in 1971 I use to frequent a pub in Hanley Stoke-on-Trent the black horse where Lemmy use to stand in the back doorway to the pub pint in hand and always by himself nobody really knew him back then -including me- even when he sang Silver Machine by Hawkwind no one knew it was him I did speak to him couple of times which was limited to heyup mate

Thanks for the lemmy video Jordan.He was quite a character 😊.I do remember the interview in which Lemmy said " I had to give up jack, and cokes,because coke isn't good for you".Still cracks me up when I think about some of the things that he has said.I hear there was a decent heart deep within that hell raiser also.

Lemmy lived in a flat in Greenfield Road in Colwyn Bay in North Wales! His best friend was a guy named Hayden Bannister! They both left Colwyn Bay for London and ended up roadies for Hendrix! Hayden got messed up on Acid and later died in a car accident!

As a metalhead, I really enjoyed this vlog! Thanks Jordan! I got to see Motorhead in concert a couple of times.

Lemmy lived the life of 100 men!! my Uncle was laid to rest in spring 2021 at the same cemetery, so when i can get back to LA to see where he's at, im visiting LEMMY as well, and dropping off one of my new guitar picks...Blessed Be -J.s.

This was fantastic Jordan it an was excellent and in depth look at Lemmy's neighborhood and favorite hangout. I have been a Motorhead fan since 1981 and this was so much fun to watch, I have seen footage of his apartment and The Rainbow on documentaries but this was more of an intimate perspective, to see actual street surroundings and his neighbor's comments as if walking around. Thanks for the work you do. I must visit. Long live who is to me the greatest Rock And Roller that ever lived Lemmy Kilmister.

I was never a big Motorhead fan but its still very interesting to hear these behind the scenes stories. You are very good at doing these "interviews". This vlog reminded me of your vlog with Randy Rhode's brother which was one of my all time fav vlogs that you've done.

Excellent, Jordan! I came to know about him later than I should have. Saw The Foo Fighter’s “White Limo” Video and was curious who was the man driving the limo. I can tell that he was someone of importance, even though I did not know who he was at the time. I just remember seeing those boots and I go “Oh my gosh ,killer boots! “. So I researched him and downloaded some of MotorHead’s songs. Then I saw the documentary as you mentioned. The one I saw also featured his son as well. I remember how touched his son’s heart. It was then one of the interviewers ask Lemmy what thing in the room is his most favorite, Lemmy said, “My Son”. Got to respect Lemmy, he was true to himself, he didn’t live by other people’s creed. He fashioned his own and stood by it. Life is too short to to play copycat.

Great vlog, Jordan. I was a big fan of Hawkwind & Lemmy. I last saw Motorhead back in 1985 in Cleveland. I was front-and-center stage, right in front of Lemmy, getting my ears literally pinned back by the relentless wall of sound from the screaming amps. That was until the mosh pit swarmed all around me. I retreated to the bar, and was shocked at the level of sound from even that distance. There will NEVER be another. R.I.P. brother. ♠️️🎸️🎶🤘

When I lived in California in 2003 I probably went to the Rainbow on Sunset over 100 times. Their food was to die for and of course it’s a cool f’ing place to be. Literally EVERY time I went there Lemmy was there as well. If I didn’t know better I would think he lived there. He would stand there by the bar basically talking to the bartender all night.

By far the loudest concert I've ever been to. Great vlog!

I wasn't a Motorhead fan, so I didn't know anything about Lemmy, but he sounds like a fabulous character! Thanks for sharing his story with us and thanks to Earl for his personal remembrances. (Cool seeing the Rainbow ~ Haven't been there since last year.)

Lemmy could often be found in various Portland bars playing video poker. He LOVED video poker! He would also come to Portland every year to celebrate the birthday of adopted Portlander Clyde Lewis of Ground Zero Radio -Clyde was also the voice of Toxie in several Toxic Avenger movies which was something that helped bond them as buddies. Sometimes when Lemmy was “off the grid”, he was up here in Oregon laying low and bar-hopping just to decompress…

Very much enjoyed this . I saw Motorhead back in 80s and they rocked. Keep up the good work and l must say that little Jaws is so cute . Have a happy forever . 😀💤

I never heard of this man but I enjoyed the vlog. Learned something new today. Loved the little wooden guys climbing up the wall in the end. They reminded me of some I had as a kid. I was told German kids liked to play with them. Who knows if it's true🙂

Thanks for doing this, a REAL view into the man, the myth, the legend, there's very few who epitomize Rock N' Roll. Longtime Motorhead fan since probably about 1980(their cover of 'Hoochie Coochie Man' is probably one of my favorite covers), a HUGE influence to my playing/lifestyle, etc. The first time I met Lemmy was a gig with the Cro Mags, and Lizzie Borden @ The Channel in Boston, I think he was playing the CENTIPEDE video game(Glenn Danzig and I would play the ZAXXON one). I would move to California briefly during early 90s and always would visit the Rainbow, but I would never bother Lemmy because I respected him. For those interested, read his autobiography WHITE LINE FEVER.

You know Lemmy was drinking heavily when Ozzy suggested he slow down. I was in a head to head car accident in the Valley way before cellphones. I ran to a house to use the phone, and the lady let me in, and I instantly saw a statue of Ronnie from the Sabbath days. It was his moms house on Lassen between Balboa, and Devonshire.
