I can imagine Kim Hunt hearing about the death of Regis Philbin four years ago. I liked how many contestants felt so honored and privileged meeting Regis despite being on the hot seat settling for million dollars. RIP Regis and thank you for your good ol’ millionaire hosting days.
Unlike the British version, the US version contestants have to pay tax on their winnings. In the British version, all cash prizes are tax free, you win £1 million, you keep that £1 million in full!

Smartest thing he did. NOT say which 2 answers he thought BEFORE using his 50/50 lifeline. Seen too many contestants “I think it’s between C & D. I’ll use my 50/50.” Then C & D are only answers left.

For geography buffs that million dollar question was easy. But.... I probably would have made it on the show when I tried to qualify on the last question and was wrong. My question was put the following Hawaiian islands in order from the largest and the smallest. I got the first 2 right but not the last two. I was so sure I had it right but....darn it. They need to bring this back again with the same format. Regis was fantastic.
I loved watching this Winner because unlike the others I saw, he struggled a lot to get through it which made you really feel like he might lose

The Marni Nixon one was simple for anyone into musicals but most people are not quite that nerd level lol.
