Who Wants to be a Millionaire College Edition (12/21/2000 - FULL SHOW)

Ойын-сауық

Guys, I got good news & bad news… The bad news is that this is the last full episode in my collection :(
The good news is that I just acquired over 20 more in a trade! (Primetime & Syndicated). I have a lot of work to do this week and next, so idk when I’ll get around to uploading, but keep an eye out.
We’ve still got a lot more Millionaire left to play!

THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS HERE ON KZread! 🤗 Up until now, I’ve always had to dust off the old VCR player to show this episode to family/friends. It aired before KZread was a thing. 😆 So grateful to whoever took the time to digitize this footage and give it a home on the Internet. Thank you!!!!

You can check out my originals and covers over on my KZread channel. 🤗 It’s so funny that I am seeing this again after all these years! A friend recently found this link today. I had no idea it lived here since this episode aired before KZread. LOL. Now I don’t have to plug in my VCR anymore to watch this. 😆

There have been multiple times where we got a glimpse of his screen while a contestant was still trying to answer a question and it was pretty much identical to what the contestant sees on their screen. He probably knew the answer from having his own morning talk show where he kept up with the news for a living. Also, there was a similar incident that I recall on one of the earlier episodes of the UK version of the show in which Chris Tarrant's demeanor changed when a contestant gave a wrong answer, but the contestant caught that and used a lifeline. Pretty sure that, like with the American version of the show, that we get a glimpse of Tarrant's screen on occasion and there is no answer displayed.

8:36 Clearly she does not watch college football and has never heard of the Red River Rivalry, which involves the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Oklahoma. I face-palmed so hard when she went with Platte instead of Red as her final answer. This would have been an easy pass to Question 12 for me if I were faced with that question.

Some polls were brutal such as the last question from February 1, 2000 about the first $100k winner on "Star Search". The contestant actually wasted all three lifelines on that question, using in order AtA, Phone-a-Friend, and 50:50. The Phone-a-Friend did not have a clue either. Using 50:50 resulted in choices A and C remaining, but most of the audience voted D. As Regis famously said before the horn tooted, "My gosh, you're right!" after the contestant guessed C.
