All I'm trying to say is that ok all those woman did amazing specially the korean girl but Dimash is probably the very first male singer who ever sang the climax of this song I searched the whole internet for another male singer, there were 2 more singers who sang this song but none of them sang the climax part. I'm not saying women did bad, I'm saying because Dimash is a male singer he probably did better.

@@hrbbdhdbdn2993 I'm p sure it is? Like, there's some sounds in there that give it away (like how you can tell when smth has been autotuned) and in an interview it was said that whilst the singer was able to hit more of it than expected, she still only got about 85%

One of the things that makes this song so difficult, in addition to the insanely high notes, is the wide range. Usually singers that can hit the high notes aren't likely to do the low notes well. That, and the slide from low to high is crazy diffiuclt and only Laura Workman truly nailed it without throwing vibrato in to cover up the break.

Nah she was one of tge weakest

Laura workman almost hit it flawlessly. She stood out among all of them by a long shot. She also had the most control over her vibrato and moving from breathey to head voice. It really goes to show that she's possibly the least known out of all these singers but definitely the most talented for this specific song.

Laura workman gets the crown, she sings an impossible song almost perfectly, the only one for me who did not sound bad at all on the quick droping notes, Dimash gets some respect for not even trying it knowing it would sound bad beforehand.

The piece was written to be physically impossible to sing to give it a futuristic and alien-like quality and yet several performers have shown that with determination and passion for their craft, nothing is impossible! Kudos to all these amazingly talented performers, you could all sing laps around me without breaking a sweat as I'm a mere pop singer!

Laura is the closest to the original, the most precise, you hear every note and every note is perfect. SO she wins in my opinion (I remember watching her as Disney Diva when she posted that, back when I was in college and being in AWE). Jane Zhang is also pretty brilliant, and Jenn would be my third place (does she not NAIL that low to high slide up?). Special shout out to Dimash tackling it and doing so well.

A better test than even Diva Dance, is Opera Number Two which has consistent high and building notes that Dimash is incredible at singing.

@@efraing5264 No, I'm not stupid but I'm yet to meet a stupid person that doesn't ask other people if they're stupid, people seem to be preoccupied about other people having the condition that they themselves have. If you think that Dimash sings the same notes, you're clearly not a singer or seem to have very good hearing for that matter as not being able to tell the difference between autotune and someone who can actually sing, indicates. If you knew the first thing about Dimash's background, you'd know that both his parents are top class opera singers, that he's had intensive voice and singing training since he was five years old for twenty years, that he's also a top class player of several instruments including drums and piano that he began learning at five showing a very good ear for chords. He even did two different university music courses, one for classical and one for contemporary singing. He could perform adequately and proficiently in any opera. He's probably about the most experienced and educated singer for his age on the planet. I've seen professional opera singers and voice coaches who have no idea how he can do some of the things that he does but you get that with true genius, people who have it find a way to do what others can't do at all. He has absolute pitch perfect hearing and voice control which is more than I can say for you if you're so clueless about just how incredible Dimash is as a singer but as with most things, the less informed someone is, the less they realize just how amazing this singer is. You kind of notice that after watching about 500 reactions to his song "SOS" for instance.

While all of them did an incredible job, and I agree that the 3 you mentioned are the best, I think Laura and Dimash kinda "cheated". Laura had the original playing under her singing, obscuring mistakes she might have made, and for Dimash the background music pretty loud, and his version was also modified to be slightly easier. Dimash used multiple highs in a row instead of high to low to high. Jane did it the cleanest, the music isn't hiding anything. All 3 are amazing though.

Jane Zhang and Dimash were at the next level. It was like a piece of cake for them

Laura Workman, but that anybody can even approximate that run with their own voice is an insane accomplishment. I'm equally impressed by anyone that can move up from that lower register note to the high falsetto without their voice cracking. I mean, I've seen drag queens bring the house down just managing to wrap their lipsync around those notes (it really is quite something to see).

Elena House did a remarkable job with the video, I realized quickly it was less about the song and more about the video to her, she was trying to recreate the scene. It was impressive! 👏

Anwargheddon Jane Zhang also hit every note, in tempo, and her vocal trill was actually punctuated and not just a slide. Laura also had the actual song playing in the background which made it impossible to hear if she alone was actually hitting the notes. Especially because she got VERY soft during the vocalizing.

Done with a synthesizer? No, it wasn't. The 'impossible' staccato isn't impossible because people can't hit the notes. Inva most certainly could. The impossible part about it was being able to transition so clearly and quickly between the notes. They recorded her hitting the notes and spliced it together to create that beautiful piccolo-sounding staccato.

Talk about the difficulty of the song they all did great , considering the fact that this song is almost impossible to sing , But my vote goes to Dimash , He made the song even better ,the smoothness switch and even reaching the highest note of them all

girl, he didn’t do the scale. I mean, yes, he is an amazing singer, maybe even the best. But is it that hard to understand that he couldn’t perform the scale properly? it is okay though, the song was made to be impossible after all but y'all here praising him when he didn’t even TRY to do those staccatos

Always easy to be a critic, only a handful of women can come as close as possible with their slight variations and renditions between them but jumping octaves would be very difficult for everyone else! Hats off to all of them!

For me (pure personal preferences) there is one clear winner: Dimash. That guy is, hands down, in a class of his own. His interpretation is so intense, so vibrant, so powerful... a feast for the ears (and the eyes, too). His voice range is insane, clean and sharp in the lowest as well as in the highest tones - absolutely amazing and superior to the female competition (which struggles/gets bland in the lower tones). Besides him, I liked Laura and Jane most.

He sang it a minor third down so he didn't exactly reach the high notes most other female singers did. His low wasn't actually that low either. Not to mention he altered it to avoid some of the harder parts. He was talented and entertaining, but not quite the best rendition at all imo.

@@ASAPUSMLE maybe not for you, but for a majority of others we agree he was the best. Check out the video of him performing at the bastau concert , in which he actually sang the exact notes, he changes octaves in different performances.

@@ASAPUSMLE Not to mention he just perfected the song to sound better in all aspects; As many ppl here are quite deaf as we all can hear how clear are all his notes, as when it comes to the women - their lowers are just not there or really poor presented and sang only to go back to their comfort zone - for a singer the most important thing is to get impact on the audience - the normal people won't ever know which exact notes he sand, but they would remember the performance and the song just because of the emotional effect it spread on them - So, we all can agree here that DIMASH is the WINNER; That's what he is doing with every single performance - Steals the audience heart. That's all he needs and that's why he is million times more famous than all of the women in this video!

Every performance is worth to hear. In my opinion Eri Sasaki and Jhane Zhang come very close to the original. Dimashs voice at the end is insane for a man. If you listen to the original you can hear that they added parts technically. But yes some of them come very close.

Ok Laura's performance is in fact the closest to the real thing if not spot on... Jane makes me ache when i see her - i am afraid she will either burst or miss a note or something... she is correct but i do not enjoy it... Dimash's version (the Bastau one) is by far my favorite although he does change the original in two different parts. I would love to hear him hit the original notes but his performance is by far my favorite - standing ovation every time.

Dimash is a living legend. His breath is stable, and his voice is totally magestic.

Laura Workman was definitely the closest. I love how you can tell who has the actual range. I also noted that several people were trying to do a vocal rendition of it instead of attempting to mimic a synthesizer/keyboard. In trying this song, if you wanna get close you have a higher chance of hitting those strange notes if you've done acapella. Cause vocalizing the Diva Dance is more mimicry, rather than singing.

*I KNEW that Dimash should be in this video! He's undeniable!!!* 👏👏👏🌞 Also Evgenia, Laura, Victoria and Jane definitely did it for me. They sound fantastic! 💎✨💕🌷⚜

We all know that Dimash is the most admirable as the only man to sing it and going whole octave deeper for the lowest part, not to mention he has better whistle register than most of girls... I think we can all agree on Melody Myers being the worst for not even getting the melody line right.

The casting director found the right singer for the movie. Her performance is the absolute best.

Dimash, just always slaying

I personally like Jane zhang better than dimash because she seems to have better control of her voice and sounded more operatic,but I also love dimash’s version.props on dimash for being a man and singing a song that was created for a female voice.

Laura workman so good and so close to the original. Dimash do some tweak on some parts but sounds so good..his vibrato.. crystal clear super head voice and considering it's a male sung on original keys.. the winner for me is Dimash. 💖

Agree. Laura's was the first video I saw on that song and turned out to be the best of closest to original. But Dimash sounds much more powerfull and confident than anyone in that video

I think people in the reactions have forgotten one thing, Dimash is the only guy in the video! He's the only guy in the world who can ever get to that level and sing like that! So it's true that he was not very similar to the original, but to be honest, I prefer his version! Dimash was awesome and since it's the only man in the world with these vocal abilities, I think it gives him a small bonus, so dimash sang thet the best!

Laura and Dimash were the best

They literally saved the best for last.

I forgot the reason. Only Dimash could reach the lowest note and beautifully sung.

Dimash was the only one who ended with one key higher, make it sound even better than anyone. Dimash had perfect control and rhythm than anyone. The girls all fail to deliver the lower register. Sounded some what weired. He is the only one who did perfect low and high register and staccato.

He did the low register wrong...he didn't even scale up in pitch. He also failed to fluctuate pitches at the most critical part of the diva dance. He did a good job, dont get me wrong but hes definitely not the best one if we are trying to see who can replicate the pitch fluctuations.

@@AA-in6bm I personaly think that dimash replicated It the Best but i agree that he maessed up the low pitched parts, not in a way that would make it sound bad, but yet not exactly as the original. Also in the very fast Part he sang a triplet instead of the harder to perform notes of the original.

The best is refering to replication to the original and others singers were much closer than him. He may sound great and thats a subjective measure but objectively speaking... he was one of the furthest from the original.

Each one has a talent on their own. Kudos to all of them

Shame…. Dimash's best Diva Dance cover was Bastau for sure. Missed opportunity here

Nope, that Bastau cover came 1 year after this video.

Laura slays tho, she actually was able to do every part of the song and didn't have to improvise because she wasn't able to do a part. Every part was perfect and anyone who says differently is probably biased, I have heard of none of the people on this list for referance

@@CosmoniYT Who do you think sounds the best?? I think we all know dimash kills it and I think he does it better in different videos than the one you put up but Laura sounds the smoothest thru the whole clip and I think sounds the most like the impossible notes of the song.

Well, to be fair, the original was digitally altered, I don't think it's possible for the human voice to perfectly imitate it. But I'd say Laura Workman came the closest.

The song was composed to be near impossible to impossible for humans to healthily be able to sing it because the composer wanted it to sound like an alien was singing it; if you listen to the original you can hear the voice clips of a synth, a female voice, and a male voice being spliced together.

Most of them were crazy-good...these are my favs though: 1) Laura Workman 2) Evgenia Laguna 3)Jane Zhang 4) Jenn Pk 5)Victoria Horhennisyan and 6)Dimash

dimash is the better because he is a man and is more difficult for him.

Dimash ftw simply because he's the only guy and sings better than all the girls too. Jane (Zhang Liangying as I know her) may not have perfectly matched the original, but for vocal quality and the sound of her voice, she's my #2. Laura did really well but TBH I couldn't tell how much the background track covered everything, as some people say it hid a few errors. Also, she didn't do the full aria like Jane did. For pure fun you gotta love Elena House, who sang well and also re-created the scene. So there you have it, 1, 2, 3.
