I also got very invested in pearl’s perspective and i cried when her and scott were finally together then had to fight even tho the season before they partnered and SCOTT LITERALLY WENT AFTER SOMEONE BC THEY KILLED PEARL THE SEASON BEFORE

I actually think Impulse and Bdubs should be a lot lower. Their gossiping was basically harmless (did less damage than Pearl’s stealing pranks at least, which unintentionally got 4 people killed). Also, Impulse especially was super helpful to people, trying to save others in the deep dark, telling people where to find iron, etc.

Makes sense. I would keep them where they are because while they weren’t very good at breaking up couples, it was still their intention and that’s pretty rude. I see where you’re coming from tho

Zombiecleo definitely deserve the title of the meanest player on double life. To me it would have been Scott as number 1 but doing the sacrifice play to make pearl be the official winner while zombiecleo struck pearl from behind made them switch places for me. And that final fight. Talk about perfect timing. Even zombiecleo was surprised by how pearl got her in the middle of a jump.

the reason scott is second is because in the final moments he was super nice to pearl killing himself so she could win with an amazing quote "TILLY DEATH DO US PART"

Scott and Cleo DEFINITELY were the mean girls of this season and i LOVED it! lol Seriously, from widow's alliance in 3rd life that never happened, to a few sessions together in Last Life, and finally getting this duo in Double Life... It was worth the waiting! They were just in such a good balance with each other, every one of their interactions is iconic! Seriously, what a power couple, definitely my favorite duo in DL. As for a reason why Cleo would be higher on the list then Scott, I think it might be because she's more bold and straightforward about it? Like, Scott somehow still being nice, even when he's mean, and he often does good deeds too - he gave Scar his horse back as he promised (even tho Scar himself forgot about it), he gave ranchers windows (...and then stole their chickens but it wasn't a part of original plan lol), and even with Pearl - he mostly just was standing on his 'im with Cleo' position, he didn't do much torturing (besides the axe crits) and he wasn't trying to taunt her intentionally in any way. So they're both mean but Cleo's a bit more chaotic? And I guess we can also count that in the end Scott gave victory to Cleo, which might've redeem him a bit Anyway, it's so funny seeing most of infamously chaotic people like Grian and Joel not in top names lol (Here's a long comment for ya to make algorithm go brrrr~!)

Scar being scar and being that high kind of implies alot about every othet season. And Joel is so epically bad at being bad. Which is part of what what makes smalletho so good lol. And personally I would have put Pearl lower because the only two things she did was pretend to steal something for a couple seconds too long and do a funnier torture bit against her soulmate who was the second meanest person and did worse torture bits to her

I honestly wanted to disagree … but really you are correct. The gaslighters were the worst, which really if you think about it they brought the most drama to this series. Which also probably explains why most of the animatics for this season are of Scott, Scar, Pearl, and/or Cleo.

I didn’t watch Cleo’s perspective, but now I have to! I didn’t realize how much chaos and mean girl shenanigans she took part in, but it turns out she might make a really good cartoon villain. Her power isn’t brute force or PvP, but rather intimidation (we all knew that), manipulation, sheer audacity, and… okay, she did brute force her way into the Ranchers’ chicken pen.

Also, I think that while Scott and Cleo were probably equally “mean” this season, and Scott maybe did more overall, if we’re counting intention and outcome, Scott is definitely second place. Once he left Pearl she tortured him and went insane. I can kind of understand why he didn’t want to rejoin with her at first. But Martyn was fairly sane and tried to win Cleo back, so the vibes are definitely different. And while Cleo and Martyn teamed up at the end, Scott actually chose to kill himself rather than Pearl in the end, where I feel like Martyn and Cleo would have just fought. So I agree about Cleo definitely having meaner vibes than Scott despite not doing the inciting action most of the time.

Oh, also when you said how Joel & Etho were being mean - killing ranchers, when they were being good to boat boys - you didn't mention that it was in fact Scott and Cleo who payed them for this murder which I think is even MORE mean then simply killing someone (also it was right after they stole their chickens and then threatened to burn their ranch (tho tbf who didn't)) But that's just another point proving that Scott and Cleo were the real mean girls :D

Uhhh. No. Martin was the reason Pearl didn’t meet up with others sooner. She couldn’t in good conscious leave him after he mentioned the nether. Then he ditched her. I think you need to factor in my point to understand why I think him leaving Pearl was so so mean

i think that cleo being higher then scott makes sense. even though you didnt include deaths i got the vibe that once the divorce quartet was the last ones standing scott was perfectly willing to give himself over to cleo or at least set up a fair 2v2, whereas cleo and martyn almost immediately went to sneak attack pearl. plus scott did forgive pearl in the end when he sacrificed himself rather then making her kill him.

I feel like you could maybe say that the reason Scott got seconded to Cleo was, in the end, he was willing to blow himself up for his soulmate, even though he had pretty much disowned her just about the entire duration of the series. But ya know, " Tilly death do us part."

The only real places I disagree with you are Ren , Scar, and Martyn. I feel like Ren deserves to be much higher, not in the top 2, but either in 3rd or 4th. He constantly blamed other people for his own failings and also treated big b pretty poorly too. You mentioned not treating killing as mean in itself but the intentions behind it, and I feel like that should extend to some of the other actions as well. In that sense the only purpose most of Ren's actions served was to deflect his own failures onto others (mostly Pearl, but also Bdubs and a few others) which to me is pretty mean. Scar on the other hand I feel like should be lower. Again with that same concept of intentions mattering more. As you say yourself most of Scar's shenanigans were just expected Scar shenanigans. Aside from burning down the ranch he never did anything that actually upset anyone. At most he made people roll their eyes a bit. The powder snow and the burning of the ranch are enough to prevent him from being on the bottom, but seems crazy to me to put him higher than both of the people who burnt down every base on the server in a rampage. I also think I'd put Martyn higher than you did. The way he treated Pearl in episode 1 as well as killing Cleo. I know it was meant to be a joke, but even if she had lived it would have been a pretty mean one. One big thing that I think you missed was that Martyn was pretty consistently helping cause chaos even if he wasn't usually the chief instigator. Prior to the last episode just kept casually helping the reds with their plots for no real reason. Cleo and Scott hired Etho and Joel to kill Jimmy and Tango, but they just watched. Martyn showed up and was the one to actually light the skyfort on fire seemingly just for the choas. Same with the pool party. Ren made it clear to Martyn that he intended to do something devious with the party and Martyn proceeded to make sure everyone on the server was invited and encouraged to attend. Ren didn't even ask him to do that, he took the initiative to put them all in danger himself.

I really like this list but I think Pearl was too high. I don't really.. think Pearl did anything wrong? As you said she was really misunderstood and all of her 'stealing' was meant as a joke (I.E. She returned the majority of the stuff she stole unless it was a red-life kill). She was repeatedly beaten down and turned away, even killed once for it when she was trying to be lighthearted. She tries to joke around or do something good and she was immediately shot down. If I were in her situation I would've gone more nutty than she ended up being. I think that inherently makes everyone who tormented her meaner than her. She was definitely less mean than Grian was-- Grian was complacent and enabling of Scar's meanness which I think adds to his own meanness score and he should have been higher (as much as I love Grian). I think all of the Red Lifes making her sit out of the Red Life Circle and then saying she didn't have a say was really mean. I think it was awful when the final few Red Lifes kicked her out of the group, too. I think Martin was meaner than Pearl was- despite Pearl 'torturing' her soulmate, at least she overall left Scott alone and towards the end they even kind of made up. Martin was the clingy ex boyfriend. Even if he didn't do anything wrong he couldn't just accept being broken up with. Imagine breaking up with someone and they build a GIANT HEART IN THE SKY, ruining your property value and overall kind of harassing you. That's why I'd put Martin higher. He also was one of the people who screwed over Pearl after being with her in the beginning which I think makes him meaner than her. Idk how I'd restructure it personally but that's just my two cents. I also haven't seen all of the perspectives so I'm not all that well-informed.

I feel like Cleo and Scott’s placements should be switched. Mainly for the fact that it seemed like Cleo was at least trying to let Martyn down easy. She even gave him a diamond sword! As for Scott, he didn’t even bother trying to be nice to pearl. And for another gave Cleo the idea to do the axe crit every episode in the first place

I feel like although Scott probably did a few more mean things, the flaw of this video is that it didn’t consider any of the kind actions of the players. The main reason Scott is second for me is because of that sacrifice he made for pearl at the end. “Tilly death do us part” kind of negates a lot of his unkind actions towards her

I feel you are very valid in your number one pick, as it was Cleo who convinced Scott to choose each other as soul mates, and reacting very harshly to her soul mate taking large amounts of damage like she was the only person who had to deal with it, when everyone else had to deal with it at some point. Like Grian freaked out because Scar took an axe hit from Joel, and Jimmy found out who his soul mate was because Tango died. Cleo did stick by with Scott until the end, and got very upset at the thought of betraying him, Martyn pretty much forcing her hand by attacking Scott and pressuring her to go for Pearl so she wouldn't have to face up to her trying to kill Scott. She also ended up resolving some her issues with Martyn enough to team up with him by the last episode. (Martyn definitely deserves the Guilt Trip title he got for joining the Gaslight, Gatekeep and Girl Boss group)

Martyn should be higher in my opinion. I feel like he and Pearl should swap places. Seeing as he was generally pretty mean-spirited towards everyone in the divorce quartet, and Pearl never had mean intentions, if you don't consider her anger when her dogs were hurt and her unhinged behavior towards Scott and Cleo.

I personally think Joel and Etho should be a bit higher, you didn't really mention how they burned everyone's bases down. I know it was a revenge but I mean they did it to people who didn't start the fire and were pretty nice to them.

just saw the video, totaly agree on scott and cleo being the meansest. peals point of view during the eintire series was amazing to watch. oh and algorithm and suscriping

I think Joel was the meanest because 1. He burned alive scar’s pandas 2. He stole grian’s sugar cane even after he said he will give sugarcane 3. He went to war with scar and grian 4. He is just his normal psychopathic self

I would argue Joel being more mean that Scar. Joel burnt every burnable building on the server. That deserves 4th place, doesn’t it? Also I mean this is in a nice way, I was a huge fan of the last life one so I’m not a hater in any way!

I have reason I think scott got lower than cleo and it was because he sacrificed himself so pearl could win.

for desert duo being wholesome, it is really more like a business arrangement because they are the absolute opposite of ‘I would choose you in every universe’ it’s more like ‘I don’t want to be near you, because bad things happen around us when we’re together, but however hard we try, my guts tells me to run back to you and protect you.’

I agree to Cleo being higher than Scott, because Cleo was more willing to actually fight once she, Martyn, Scott, and Pearl were the final 4. AND because Scott sacrificed himself for Pearl to win. HOWEVER!!! You were like, "You guys are probably going to be surprised Pearl is so low"... Buddy, I was surprised Pearl was SO HIGH! Her chaos was always just tomfoolery. She PRETENDED to steal a horse, and then returned it (trying to save Ren and Big B's stuff), then she PRETENDED to steal Oreo, but kept her when Scar just left before Pearl could return her, then she didn't give Oreo back because Scar attacked her on sight and almost killed Oreo in the process, then Pearl PRETENDED to steal the chest plates, and was killed for the same joke she had been pulling all season. Even her kills in the last episode were just avenging Tilly and then defending herself from Martyn and Cleo. Literally the only truly bad thing she did all season was stand in powdered snow a lot, and even then she was ALWAYS careful to make sure she and Scott were never in any real danger. She even did a lot of nice things like trying to help Scar and Grian when no one else would.

Also, forgot to mention, I think that Martyn should have been A LITTLE higher. He definitely made up for a lot of mistakes later on, but there is a lot of evil in dragging Pearl to the nether (when she had almost figured out who her soulmate was, he had no clue, and she just didn't want him to die), and then ditching her when his plan resulted in them both getting dumped. Then in the next episode he tries to get back with Cleo by ACTIVELY insulting Pearl, saying it was annoying having to spend time with her (even though she probably is responsible for him not dying episode 1). Plus, he later feigns being her friend with Ren as a way to use her strength. It is twisted and if Martyn had only TOLD SCOTT AND CLEO THE TRUTH OF THE SITUATION... Scott and Cleo might have forgiven Pearl sooner, preventing her from going crazy, and reuniting Gaslight/Gatekeep/Girlboss because Pearl is the only one able to rein in the Mean Girls energy. Like, I know we're entering theoretical territory, but Martyn MIGHT be the reason for all of the "evil" things to come from Pearl, Scott, and Cleo. He wasn't actively evil most of the time, but he was an enabler for evil across the server.

I feel like Martyn needs to be higher on the list for leaving pearl in the beginning and telling her it was her fault scott and cleo left, when he wanted to go into the nether

I very much enjoyed watching Scott's pov. Didnt realize how 'mean'(rp wise ofc) he actually was compared to the other. But tbh im not mad, it made a for an amazing series to watch and follow along with

I was shocked at first by people burning bases, but after watching ALL the series realized that it was the least mean thing that could happen.

I think by default Scott and Cleo are 1st and 2nd simply because their actions created the “Red Witch”. They could have done nothing else but that and I think they would be the 1st and 2nd even then.

This seems pretty cool. If only I understood what was going on.

Honestly AS JUSTIFIED as Scott and Cleo were from their POVs with breaking up from Martin and Pearl, and how they treated other people…. THEY REALLY WERE THE MEAN GIRLS!! They Gaslight Gatekeep Girlboss EVERYONE. That’s what happens when you’re liberated from your soulmate

I think martyn should get some points in the finale for when he hit impulse off the platform in the deep dark, it was a really stupid play alongside the fact that he literally was the one who STARTED the fight with a red that previously, while clearly not being an ally, was sort of messing around (yes he was trying to summon a warden, but cleo was close enough to safety that she would've been out of range by the time it spawned), and was very unlikely to attack them, and he didn't even wait for cleo to get up first, so impulse started fighting cleo and martyn did basically nothing. martyn 100% deserves to be at least a bit higher on the list, but either way this is a great video and I probably am misremembering that encounter a bit-

I agree fully on the "Rage Tango" thing. In fact, I compared his frustrated/angry noises to audio from the goblins in that Lego Elves show and was quite surprised at the similarities. Surprised and ecstatic enough to completely throw any lore surrounding him (not that there is much anyway) out the freaking window and develop a headcannon that he is part goblin. PLUS the design the fandom has given him does NOT help in stopping this headcannon.

Here is the thing: Cleo and Scot were mean, really mean, but also were loyal as heck towards each other. That duality of being the Best and the worst, plus the fact they decided their own soulmates and were Open and honest, and not just cheated (like Grian and BigBeast) Made them the GOAT of the series

My favorite part of this whole thing was, (Etho) “he’s the kind of person who would stab you and you would thank him for it.” This is amazing and true.

And we love them for it ❤️

although Grian did apologize to Bigb about killing him, i just think a kill on their "secret soulmate" should make Grian a bit more evil (not justifying cheating)

Honestly I don't really care much for the placements I just really like the watching desert Duo because you could clearly tell how upset Grian was with the situation Also I'm not really sure who the healthiest couple of award should go to I'm debating between the ranchers and the homewreckers because they were definitely the two healthiest couples

I’m being honest, I’m upset that satellite kill wasn’t in this video

I kinda love how the life series brings out the worst in almost everyone except Pearl and Grian, they are just naturally like Max and Ross (Mithzan and YourPalRoss) in having a sibling dynamic with eachother and are chaotic to everyone else, BigB is also not very corrupted in the Life series. Jimmy this season was still rational lol. Etho was a little chaotic but you can tell he is obviously playing it up for the series. I justify Pearl being higher up on the niceness ngl possibly at 8 or 9. Also if Cubfan was in this series Scar would be worse as we basically would have had the Vex duo from Hermitcraft 5 and 6 and they would have outmeaned Cleo and Scott. Also just for the Allay part I am just going to say: It was the worst choice as it has very little room for expansion. I wanted the Gloom for a new pet mob but everyone said no then the Copper Golem which was the one that had the most capability to expand what the game has was denied for the Navi rip off that is basically just a hopper minecart and is useless as a pet mob to follow you. The Allay is the worst choice and in every scenario of the mob votes the worst choice IMO were the blue mobs, Cyan passes slightly but the blue mobs were just terrible. I mean atleast the Phantom has potential to be updated unlike the Allay.

Scott and Co. burying and tormenting Jimmy is probably the cruelest thing in the Life series. Jimmy is a perfect punching bag and usually bullying him is hilarious but that one rubbed me the wrong way.

Cleo and scott being the meanest is funny, but i wouldn't really call it toxic, because we saw a little bit in season 2 aswell that cleo is the one person that can stop scott from being overtly passive, and make him even more fun.

Cleo being this evil in double life is only fair buildup for the blatant disrespect she got the previous seasons lol

The Good: Jimmy - A nice, forgiving guy who made some mistakes. Bigb - decent, but he cheated on ren Tango - good, but he put a warden on the surface. The Grey: Martyn - kinda an idiot, but pretty loyal Etho - Chill until red Grian - Rational, but a jerk Impulse - A nice villian The Bad: Ren - a jerk (mainly to pearl) Pearl- evil because she was treated bad Joel - A killer, but not that chaotic Scar - Scemer, torturer, robber, killer, etcall things a chaotic evil would do. One redeeming quality was he was mistreated and this made him do the torture part. Bdubs - Just evil. He was just tryna cause problems and he backstabbed everybody. Poor impulse. Scott - Mean girl #2 Cleo - Mean girl # 1

But even though they were definitely the meanest Scott and Cleo are the heroes this season or maybe Pearl is more of the hero she does win after all and like so she is very much misunderstood the entire time also like there has to be something to be said for Scott killing himself just so Pearl is considered the ultimate winner like the sweetest moment in the entire series but the reason why I think people are saying that Cleo and Scott are in fact the heroes and I 100% agree with this is because they are found family I think for a lot of people of myself is definitely one of these people so this is where my bias is found family is very important for a lot of people who don't have great relationships with with their family and like arguably like Scott and Cleo saying that the soulmate system is not what should actually choose your alliance and deciding to be with each other does kind of become a very interesting thing and if you're telling a narrative story which this isn't the narrative in that sense because it is all Improv but them essentially all making it the Final Four would also kind of essentially make them the protagonist of the series although again probably Pearl for the most part she does win they are still definitely the meanest though like I will not dispute you on that I just think they are both the meanest thing kind of Heroes of the server
