I would consider everyone who watches Chael's channel to be one group. For me, your sentence would be saying that Chael's channel is intelligent at listening. I was just messing with you because the sentence reads horribly for me. It doesn't really matter.

Uncle Chael is right again. Even if your opponent isn't worthy, you have to sell him as a worthy opponent. When you destroy him, it makes you look that much better. If you sell an opponent as a tomato can, it does nothing for you. Why would people pay to see it?

Chael 35 years ago at least for the circles I was in we did not cut a lot of weight. I remember walking around at 147 cutting was the furthest thing on my mind. I had a few friends who were champs. I m scrambling to remember if they cut much weight, it was just not a topic among us.

I have to say I watched a video where Jon Jones talked about how he lose all the time in training and it prepares him for fights, when he was asked about how he always wins. Also how he said he wasn't taking any of the competition lightly and was training hard so he wouldn't lose. Similar to khabib how now he is motivated to train.

Everybody asking why do fighters cut so much weight... its simple. To win. If you want weight cutting out of the sport, make weigh ins a few hours before the fight. Nobody in the world would want to fight that dehydrated and starved. But when u give a fighter 24 hours to replenish its worth it.

The weight cutting question, is an easy one.. Its because they want to be the bigger, stronger guy in the fight so, they cut a lot of weight, mostly water, so after weight in, they can put on a quick 10 lbs

I dominated my weight class and everyone else was always cutting weight. The coach would decide to put the toughest lineup possible on the mat. If you dominate your weight you are fine, but you may have a better chance of winning in different weight classes. As far as UFC there are many factors like belts, pride, opportunity, titles, beefs haha

Francis hits harder than either, but his technique is still pretty raw, so I think someone with Rozenstruik's extensive striking experience (90+ fights) is more dangerous to him. There is nothing Francis can do in standup that will trick Jair, but Jair can definitely set traps for Francis. Rumble is a beast of a man, but he is also more of a bruiser than a technique guy.

I got a question for Uncle Chael, what's the best way to send it?

Chael didn't really answer the weight cutting question and he did it early in his career so he clearly knows why. Its to get the most benefits from your body size as possible. If you can be the biggest guy in a division, it can be a great asset. So guys try and cut to the lightest weight the can attain to make sure they are the most competitive size possible. But I definitely think it has a limit and eventually starts working against you way more and leads to a worse chin ect.

I'll give a great answer to the 5:15 guy. I'll even give you an example. Max Holloway. He had troubles at LW, do you really think he could compete at MW? Let alone be the dominant, reigning champ that he is? He's openly said that he walks around over 180, and while 35lbs is a lot to lose each fight, he just doesn't have the power to compete with the 85'ers. He doesn't even have enough power to finish a lot of FW, he just relies on volume of strikes.
