About 15 years ago, outside my primary school, the mama shop machines were 20 cents and 50 cents only. The 1 dollar machines could only be found in the market below my block. I remember my favorite toy was the sticky gummy string with a figure on the end. It's crazy that there are $3 machines now, in just 15 years. It shows just how crazy the rising cost in Singapore is.

or even 30
I remembered my children loved these vendors. I hate it because they only play the toy inside only a few minutes but still want one whenever they see it again.
Would be great if the national arts council or some gov organization can collaborate with the 2 distributors and have a small museum I would love to visit.

Thanks for creating the happy and fun memories for the kids. When they grow up they will understand how precious moments they have on this vending machine !! Good Job, keep on moving!!!
These vendors should allow us to recycle the capsules. I usually throw them away after getting the toy :/

in japan they usually have a box beside the machine that people can dispose the capsules straight away. But not found in SG, most likely someone would just take it.
My 90s childhood memories thing! Last time is 50c and $1 machines. 🙂

Great gesture to return and recycle the capsules!
Nice. It brings back a sense of nostalgia of childhood.
I wish there interview the bigger suppliers that supply the machine in shopping malls like the takra tomy machines eg thomas and Pokémon ones

Childhood memories, I use to play the bouncy ball toy..
Good toys
When you overhear some teens calling gachapon machines "retro". *inserts heart attack meme*
last time $1 now 3 dollar and up what a scam
Even now as an old adult, I like to play with these machines and tend to corrupt children into this habit.
Gimmick
Money
$3... can buy chicken rice or bbt... sorry but my child aint getting anywhere near these machines. HAHAHA
Tyranny has gone so far that now even something as simple as gacha machines have been taken over by an international organisation.
The digimon!!! But how legit? Problem is they look so dirty and ugly. Simple painting to more modern colours could attract kods again.
the new machines suck bc the items are lame af
sentiments and business dont go hand in hand.. look forward not backwards.
