Typhon vs Rosa argument, while valid, is basically Exusia vs Ash argument all over. Both can be used for boss shreding but one is more suited for a farming role than burst dmg unit

The funny thing, golem stage on this event show that both of them can work together (without stalling operator). Rosa hold golem in place while Typhon kill both of them.

I remember from some comparisons when Typhon came out on CN, that Rosa S2 has better burst than Typhon S2, but Typhon S2 beats Rosa S2 in sustained damage. Their S3 aren't really comparable

“TS2 beats RS2 in sustained dmg” is highly subjective for two main reasons: 1st it depends on the targets, Rosa has additional dmg against W3 and above enemies so it isn't really suited for trashmobs. Typhoon needs to hit a single enemy 5 times in order to get her full DPS potential which is utter waste due to overkill, loss of the scaling between targets, and underperformance over elites who barley get scratched by it. 2nd Typhoon S2 has infinite duration, in order to exceed the hypothetical highest potential dmg of Rosa S2 she would need to hitting one enemy for well over 5 damn minutes.

I kinda like how we can distinguish Rosa's and Typhon's role; the former is good for crowds with a spice of consistent cc via S3 while the latter good for single boss killing or 1-2 mobs. Also nice to see some Caper little showcase there xD

as someone who clear the s level with sniper knight i agree

They may have giant harpoon cannons and comically sized magical bows, but i have an arsenal of NERF blaster, and we all know that it's NERF or nothing so i win. I powercreep both of them and everyone else (Roomba doesn't count. It's an ancient diety feared even by the mightiest of gods)

Definitely the stultifera navis cleaner powercreep them all

Typhon is better cause her s3 is able to ignore a lot of the buffs to hp and def that elites get on cc tags, as for IS4 I don’t play the mode a lot so i don’t really know but from what I see on CN she is the best sniper to take inside is4

the problem is that toddi doesn't have a good multi target or AOE skill like rosa or typhon so she might suffer when dealing with the tankier elites before they get to the blue box

Dont really care who has better kit, Rosa is absolutely beautiful and elegant

The weird thing is, when Typhon first released on cn people said that Typhon powercreept Thorn. A guard. A melee 2 block guard. Edit : so appearantly i've been using Thorn the wrong way. I usually used him as a blocker and secondary dps. His regen talent help his survivability inbetween waves. But appearantly i shouldnt do that and should only focus on him being a raw main dps.

The only thing thorns does better is tank and heal, and no one uses that because he’s still quite squishy. In a normal map where both have tiles to be placed on, typhon does more damage, and ultimately that’s most important.

@@georgezhang1573Arguably more stall too, her stun chance vs his "able to block but for many enemies would rather not" In the end main thing thorns keeps for himself is sometimes reaching out to hit things a ranged unit might not, but he's got more competition for that these days too.

Rosa S3, Burst damage + Stun/bind? over few seconds, low CD, much better against high threat foes (Which is generally heavy weight, another + for Rosa). Typhoon S2 or S3, sustained damage, however also works against lots of mobs coming in groups. Better in laneholding. Simple, and I don't think it's a power creep issue, when those two units provide 2 different role. HOWEVER, do note that Rosa needs her module badly. Typhoon is more budget to use, because she already works very well even without her module.

Rosa's s3 doesn't stun, and its not better in any way, it just does different thing compared to Typhons kit. Typhon is better at killing, and she actually does need her module almost as much as Rosa does. Nice try but not really.

Are you saying Rosa dealing 20k~24K damage in a 5 sec burst to multiple units (+bind) is not better in different way? Sometimes, player don't understand, kill speed matters. It is the reason why Vigna is good, Reed is not, kill speed. It's not like Rosa is being used to kills foes with 200~300k HP (Better use other unit for this).

@@Engitsu Typhoon dmg, it's enough to run her without module. She has the power to take down Tankies, this is without module. Something Rosa is troubled WITHOUT HER MODULE. It is a good one, not just a nice try. And I think you read wrongly, Where did I say/Imply, Rosa and Typoon are the same.

I tried to use Typhon (without module because her trust was 0%) on CE-6 to compare against Rosa and she could barely kill the crushers with skill 2 on, but couldn't get all of them because the skill didn't last long enough. Rosa on the other hand did huge damage and killed every crusher within one skill use (but Rosa had module so I'll test Typhon again when I get her module).

I use Rosa S2 as long DPS skill, like semi AFK, its very useful. Have alternative, seriously? Mages with same dps has very short distance, other snipers too, may be except Rosmontis S2, but she cannot attack flying targets. What are you talking about, man 🤷

the main Rosa's advantage is that her skills is not auto and can be used in concrete situation. Also her skill 2 do more damage than Typhon in short period.
